I Just Bought My First House! Here's A Tour

- After literally 12 MONTHS of searching and sacrificing, I finally bought my first house! I started my search on July 17, 2020, and I closed on this house on July 21, 2020! This is a loft style house. Just a few years ago, I didn't even plan on buying a house because I wanted to relocate to Phoenix, Arizona, which is my favorite city in America. Due to a career change, I was kind of forced to stay in Saint Louis, Missouri. I then told myself, "Since I'll be here for the long-haul, I might as well purchase a house". I had spent years paying for an apartment, but I had nothing to show for it. I had also become sick of people vandalizing and stealing my property outside of my old apartment. It was just time for my to move to a better place and location.
I still have a LOT of work to do to get my house to where I want it to be. I should have it situated within the next couple of months. I'll need to buy basic things like lamps, shelves, and curtains.
I recorded this video on July 24, 2020, which was two days after I moved in.
Since I finally have a room dedicated to recording audio and videos, then it will be a lot easier for me to make ASMR videos for yall :)

Everything's cool. I doubt there's someone trying to track me down. The location is secure too. It's a lot safer here than where I previously lived.

Oh my God, I LOVE your place! I adore the industrial look and factories repurposed into cool modern living spaces! That iron door = amazing! Beautiful building. It's just perfect! Thank you, Treeester! :) Yes. A garage was also one of my stipulations. The building I'm in actually has a garage in the basement which has free parking, but not for ALL of the houses :( Unfortunately, my house didn't come with one. The building viewable from my deck has a parking garage that is $115 per month. The woman who sold me this house agreed to pay for the first two years of parking for me. Now I don't have anything to park there :D I'll buy a motorcycle in a couple of months though.
You're also right about the brick. Its sound and temperature insulation is amazing!
We were so happy to get rid of the Rams! Haha! It's sad that COVID-19 killed the XFL though. The Saint Louis Battlehawks were growing in popularity over here very quickly. I really feel bad for the players.
@@BlackMaleASMR I don't honestly follow football but L.A . didn't mind losing the Rams, either. :D Good job securing 2 years of paid parking! Nice! Across the street is doable!! Motorcycles and winter (and safety... not to be lecturey because I rode ages ago, too) dun' go. Please be safe!! 😥

I actually do plan on riding in the winter. If it snows, I'll be good though. I specifically only searched for houses that are within walking distance from my job -- if I actually have to physically start going back to work. My new house is only a 15-minute walk from my office :) So if it snows and I can't ride the motorcycle, then I'll just walk to work.
Yes. You should look into the parking. All of the houses I viewed in this neighborhood have free parking in the basement except for this particular unit. I just chose this unit because I loved it and the seller gave me a very good deal on it.

Thanks, Vicki. I think this is more of a "repurposed" area, but I love it here because of its convenience and it's super close to my job (if I ever actually have to go to the office again) :D

Happy to see you a place to call your own👍, especially since it's nice to have a change of scenery. Hopefully things at your new loft will be better than your old place, especially the darn stealing. (I still hate how your bike was stolen, it just ain't right) Anyways since St. Louis recently got a ikea that'd be a great place imo to get some decent starter furniture, especially since their prices can be quite competitive to other companies. Whelp you've read this far, so I wish you the best of luck and I hope things will get even better for you as time goes on.

Congrats on the place man!!! Just an idea for the windows something you could potentially do is get a reflective tint job done. I had one done and it’s great because during the day the glass is completely reflective from the outside but you can clearly see outside. Helps with cooling too 😁
