Well done again Manuel! Question: Why did you create 2 masks on each shape layer (and why did you expand the line 4px)?
Thanks! One mask alone wouldn't be visible. So I duplicated it and expanded one of them, which creates a visible line.

Love this technique! When I expand the top mask by 4 pixels, I don't get a visible line. Any ideas on what I might be missing?

any idea why in my mask layer the pick whip toggle is missing?
Maybe that column is hidden in your timeline window. You should right click on "Source Name" above the layers and go to columns.
