    Amazing Video Grumo. quick question - Glide apps have a upper limit of 5000 users. how are we going to mitigate it.

    • @GRUMO
      @GRUMO  ปีที่แล้ว

      The only way to get more users is to upgrade to their Business or Enterprise plans.

    Thank you, this is a great, clear tutorial as I try to decide on a no-code platform. However, right now in May 2022 Glide says a pro account allows 100 private users. What happens if I sell 1,000 memberships? Am I limited to 100, or do I have to pay per user? That seems like it could get very expensive very fast.

    • @GRUMO
      @GRUMO  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Private users are only for apps that don’t have public access. If your selling memberships those would be public users.

      @@GRUMO sadly Glide has changed again now we have only 100 public users...Glide is axing its base...

    • @GRUMO
      @GRUMO  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ManuMarea It's 100 users per month (not total). Yes, they are tightening the screws as they grow.

      @@GRUMO Miguel,
      do you think we can implement king of the same function, but user initially not registered/signed in?
      I mean visitor download app, navigate into the app without registration/sign-in, after 5 details page visited, you prompt the windows asking to register and choose a membership ?
      Thanks
      Romain

    • @GRUMO
      @GRUMO  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Romain_Petitjean Yes you can. You can save non-registered user interactions on global user-specific column. The problem is that because the user is not registered, Glide cannot track that specific user. So if they reinstall the app, the counter will reset and they will be able to access the content again. BTW, this is the same behaviour on any other app or website. Without a user account no system can truly block the same user from accessing the free content.

      @@GRUMO thank you so much! I totally understand. By the way, did you prefer to use Google sheets or glide tables?

    • @GRUMO
      @GRUMO  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Romain_Petitjean I prefer Glide Tables. They perform faster and don't need to synch to pull data into the app like when using Google Sheets or AirTable.

    Hi , that is so great , can i use it on Starter plan?

    • @GRUMO
      @GRUMO  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can but only if you choose to build your app using Glide Classic Apps which has the Buy Button component. The new Glide Apps (formerly Glide Pages) doesn't have the Buy Button component.

    Olá Grumo! Como faço para partilhar uma copia da minha app para que outra pessoa possa usá-la de forma independente?

    • @GRUMO
      @GRUMO  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You need to convert your app into a template. Just click the 3 dots on the app icon and select "Create template". Then you can publish your template and share the link for other people to make a copy of your app.

    Congratulations for this tutorial and this application. I have a question: does this system require a paid Glide plan? and if not, how many people can we have registered in the application with the member category system you present? I ask the question because I created an application with articles and I would like to have 100 paying subscribers. with what plan is it feasible at Glide?

    • @GRUMO
      @GRUMO  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Glide’s free plan provides 500 rows of data just enough to build and test apps. For anything else than testing, you’ll need a paid plan. How big of a plan depends on how many updates and rows you expect for your app to generate a month. For most apps the Pro plan is enough.

    • @ManuMarea
      @ManuMarea ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GRUMO Pro is 100 at month..., does your template need Api ( hence the Pro plan ?)

    • @GRUMO
      @GRUMO  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ManuMarea This template doesn't need API. You can also write back to Glide using Zapier and updating a Google Sheet attached to your app. This is a way to get around the API. It works the same except it takes a bit longer to sync.

    Thanks for the video! I am having a hard time understanding the user numbers, does the 20 users mean that if I want to charge for the app to more than 20 users need to pay for additional users??

    • @GRUMO
      @GRUMO  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Glide pricing has changed recently. You only pay for additional users over 20 on the Team and Business plans. The free plan has only 10 users and the Maker plan has unlimited users but they can only have personal emails. Check out their pricing plan page for more details.
