Hi all I would like for confirm 1. I have for so many year had short hair . Usually 3 on the sides and scissor cut on top . My hair grew a bit longer and messier during the pandemic and I thought what the hell let it grow a bit and get someone good to see if they can do anything with it . All I see everywhere in barbers are short back and sides . Boring boring boring. 2. I'm not having a midlife crisis. I had that when I was 26. My wife wanted the mini...! Although to be honest it's fab to drive and I don't think I'd want any car that wasn't a convertible now. 3. I wasn't about to cry . It's just my resting face . I used to stunt double for Droopy . Maybe some botox would sort out my world weary wrinkles but I'm totally cool with being who I am. I like the lived in look. 4. I don't dye my hair. My mum is convinced I do as my beard goes very very white but nope. Afraid not. I just have a stress free life.. 5. Dan is a great great barber. I am well aware of the challenge so far as my request was concerned! One can only work with what one has got and I think he did a sterling job. I don't need to be told I haven't got Brad Pitts luscious locks (hey someone in the comments said Willem Dafoe ? That will do for me ). 6. I haven't had it cut yet since Dan's cut at the beginning of June so maybe I will ask him if he wants to do a sequel (although they do say sequels are never as good as the original...) and if I look like a porn star from the 70s then maybe for the threequel Rambos Haircut Part 3 I will go for the buzzcut/short sides and scissor cut you are all recommending. What do you think ?
Honestly. I think you could benefit loads from a transplant. At your age the loss is probably stable and you dont seem to mindre not having the thickest crown (which is impossible to get with transplants anyway). But right now you are bald with some hair around it. Not the best.
Are you the mans in the video? I'd love to see a sequel, and I also thought the hair suited the look. Maybe needed abit more length up top, which is why I'd be interested to see what can done now after the first cut. And if the wife wants a mini, she wants a mini what can you do about it. Hopefully it's fun to drive around :-D
Hi Daniel, I think your cut looks great, and that you have lovely hair - a beautiful colour too! Loved your dry sense of humour too and for trusting Dan. Take care 😊
Men's hair is the most important aspect of their grooming and if it gets spoiled after a haircut that's the biggest loss for any man. I love this barber and I wish every barber could communicate and try to understand the goal like Daniel does before running their scissors in their client's hair.

Don't think the fella understood barbers can only cut hair not grow it back for you. Looked like he was about to cry when he seen he was still thinning and balding with the new cut 🤣
I’m in a similar boat to this guy, but unlike him, I go the other way, I go too short to compensate for the thinning. It makes my face way too wide and my eyes too beady..I think he’d be better a bit shorter on the sides …and back… it’s a hard place to be for barber and client.
I guess he wanted to keep as much length as possible to create the illusion of having more hair on top, which can be a daunting task for any barber. I kinda have the same situation going on of needing a haircut and my longer hair on the back and sides makes my balding on top even more evident, i know i need to work with what i have left lol. Having someone like Dan to do the job is the perfect opportunity that you do not want to miss to find a style that actually suits your current aesthetic.
I think most people see through the illusion. Embracing your thinning hair and cutting it a bit shorter will come off as more confident and put together, but that's just my opinion.

He still has enough hair on top that he doesn't need to shave his head but the thinning on the crown is far too severe too keep so much length in it he needs to go for a very short cut scissor cut on top and a clippered back and sides. Dan has demonstrated that cut on guys with thinning on this channel before and it always makes them look so much better. This guy is going for the completely wrong style.
He still has enough hair to not need buzz it all off but the heavily thinning crown is making this style look terrible. A shorter cut would look far better.
Tip 1, have longer hair than you usually have and then try cutting off as little as possible to shape the hair. The more often you do it the better it'll get. Tip 2, if you want to fade the sides with a buzzer (example 6mm) always start of with at least 2 sizes longer than what you are thinking about (so go with a 12mm). Tip 2.2, if you are planning on getting a buzzer, trimmer, clippers what ever you want to call it get one which has seperate length thingeys. I've got one with a slider where you can adjust the length and it sucks ass despite being one from Braun. And note batteries die, they get empty relative quickly too, maybe consider one which plugs directly to the wall.
