I've been searching for this setup in photos or videos for a very long time. Been wanting to mod my 18 heritage with bigger bags and was aware of the need for an exhaust replacement. I always like the look of the dual tuck and under, but most of those setups are with the fishtail ends or skinny tubes, which I just don't like (Plus I have Rinehart slips already, want to keep those). It makes me super glad that I can see exactly how my bike will look once I'm done with the mods. Very helpful.
Enjoyed the video. Nice motorcycle!! It is a shame that Harley Davidson doesn't already have a lot of these parts for 20 grand. But it's cool to make the bike your style but it does come with a price...safe riding
Hi David, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. It’s true, Harley should do things like improve their seats for the amount they get for new bikes. Like you said, customizing is fun. Thanks for watching!
I have also just sold my 2011 Roadking. Now I have a '22 Heritage and am wanting to do the same. But i also want a police seat. Anybody trying to do this too?
The exhaust is made by Freedom Performance. It’s called a true dual racing exhaust. I really like the sound and look. The only drawback is the some of the chrome on the exhaust tips has flaked off. New tips cost 180 bucks a piece. If I were to buy it again I
Hi Abu. I got the saddlebags from Hogworkz. I bought the Freedom Performance dual racing exhaust from eBay. I don’t recall the name of the seller, but it was a motorcycle parts shop in New Jersey. Thanks for watching!
Jerry, I'm in the market to replace my stock Heritage Classic exhaust with true dual exhaust like you have on this bike of yours and I'm doing it for the same reason you did, to put full size saddle bags on the bike. Now that you've had this a couple of years I've got a few of questions: 1. I've heard that in the past that Freedom Performance has had some welds break that hold the shields on to the pipes, have you experienced any of that? 2. I'd really like to her what these pipes sound like on your bike, is it possible for you to post a brief video that highlights the sound. 3. What's your overall opinion of the exhaust system since you've had it for a few years? 4. Are the Hogworkz saddle bags holding up the way you expected? Thanks in advance. Steve
Hi Steve, I will answer your questions in the order. 1. I haven't had any issues with the welds on the Freedom Performance pipes. The only issue I've had is the chrome peeling on the endcaps as mentioned in the video. I would recommend getting the black endcaps if you should decide to go with the Freedom Performance Racing Exhaust. Keep in mind, it was quite a job to fit them on the bike. 2. I'll make a video today regarding the sound of the exhaust. I'll post it today or tomorrow. 3. Overall, I like the exhaust system. Are there better options? There may be, although these pipes were what I was looking for as far a giving me clearance to install the hard bags. I was thinking of fish tails, but when I saw these, I really liked the look. It seems I have some modest performance gains, upon accelerating, though I have not had the bike dyno tested. 4. The Hogworkz saddle bags are holding up. I did have one of the mounting brackets break a while back. (there's a video) I called the company to buy another one and they sent me a new set of brackets at no charge. I also had an issue with the locks during installation. I called and they sent me several replacement locks. Their customer service is very good. The only thing now, after 2 or 3 years is the finish on the bags had developed scratches on the lids and some pitting on the rear of the bags. I will add this to the upcoming video. It's strange as I have not done anything to scratch the lids. I hope I have answered your questions, Steve. Thanks for your comments and thanks for watching! Jerry
You might be better off just buying a touring bike🤔 did a good job on the heritage with everything you put on it but I’m sure that everything added up was kind of expensive!! But you customize the bike how you wanted to fit you and that is pretty awesome👍
I traded my 2011 Road King for the Heritage. I prefer the smaller size and weight of the bike. I did miss having the touring bags so I put em on. Thanks for watching!
@@gedspub Thanks for the comment back and I really appreciate it🏆 I bought a 2019 heritage and I also did a lot of customizing to it and for the same reason as you I got it because it was a lighter bike and can be made into a touring bike👍
How much lean did you lose by putting those pipes on? I love the look and am considering doing it to my 2023, but I’m a bit of an aggressive rider and really like to lean into the curves.
I'm not sure if I've lost any lean with this mod. I would guess there would be some lost on the left side. I generally putt around the state of Florida, not many curvy roads here. Thanks for watching!
Nice setup, would have been nice to hear those true dual exhaust pipes!
Thanks! You can hear em on most of our videos. Thanks for watching!
@@gedspub I'll check em out
I have the same system on my slim bagger but with longer mufflers from a yamaha.

I’m glad you found the video helpful, Master Yoda. Those bigger bags are way more useful than the stock ones. Thanks for watching!

Cool bike, sir
Thanks! And thanks for watching!

I did a quick internet search for a police seat for 2018 and up softails. They’re out there, about 750 bucks. Thanks for watching!

What’s that exhaust? Your bike looks awesome! I’m looking for something like that.

would go with black tips.
Thanks and thanks for watching!
What's the website you purchased the exhaust and the bags from?

@@robertyoung5678 Yeah, the Heritage is a whole lot easier to back up especially on a slope!

I could have saved you a lot of talking had I waited a couple weeks lol
It’s all good. Talking with you gave me the idea for the video!
