I’m a counterparts die hard. Literally have the TDBHAH logo tatted on my calf. And this is their best album written hands down but album of the year I’m not ready to say yet. Vein released a masterpiece early this year and a band called Fleshwater is releasing their debut album next month👀🔥
If you haven't heard The Different Between Hell and Home by them, you need to react like this to it if you liked this album. This album has the same guitarists as that album and is very similar and different at the same time lol. This album blew me away.
I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction to this album. No stupid distracting off screen animations, no extra bs you deal with, with other channels. Just all about the music and the emotion. I love it. Instant sub.
When you hit the title track and said "I'm really enjoying this, this is my favourite one so far". I laughed because I was like just wait, you're about to say that again to every other song.
Soil II is a direct sequel to Soil a song from arguably their best album(the last song on that album). It literally starts off where the first song ends. Immediate chills. Soil(first one) may be their best song written in my opinion. Lyrically and musically 😤🔥
14:20 i was like, oh he's in for a treat with Skin Beneath a Scar haha. I just found you and you seem like a chill person, subbing for sure! Take care!
Never seen this channel, but I was disappointed Rolo Tomassi's 2022 release didn't seem to be featured anywhere in the video catalog. Counterparts for sure up there for AOTY and I'll take it gladly into 2023, but I cannot fully commit when Rolo Tomassi just obliterated every other sound out there earlier this year. Check out 'Drip" or "To resist forgetting"
@@davidpwolfe They’re one of Counterparts biggest influences! You should consider doing a reaction to their first full length album, “Of Malice and the Magnum Heart.”
Your introduction to soil 2 tells me you haven't listened to soil by counterparts from the album The Difference Between Hell and Home. If that's the case........ Why
@davidpwolfe this would be a very deep dive. You have prophets (counterparts is my favorite band and I've never listened to this) The current will carry us (opener is legendary, closer is my introduction to the band. Every single album since then (2011), I listen to them open to close religiously. I'd start with the difference between hell and home and move forward. Even with this, there's a lot to consume.
@@davidpwolfe may I suggest windwakers new LP? It’s a mix of metalcore / post hardcore, the dude has a voice almost kinda like Tyler Carter of issues, he has that r&b flare. But he has insane range and can do nasty harsh vocals and screaming. A lotta nu metal guitars but very pop-y hooks, it gives me vibes from issues to Korn to VRSTY to Pierce the veil. It’s definitely one of my faves this year. You should def react to it
Album of the year easily.
It's definitely top ten for me!
Easy ATOY

Goat album, goat coaster manufacturer
This and Boundaries new album are the best this year.
Easily a top 3 Album of this year. Every song tells a story, and you can feel the emotion that was put into this.

As cities burn in the backgroud. MY friend. I don't know you but I respect you
One of the best band that no one talks about!

Sworn to silence, song of the year for me!
It's so good!
Severed hands couldn't force my heart to beat

They're on my list to listen to before the years over. I'll try and get a song on the channel if I can!
Great vid!
Thanks!
Have you listened to Soil part one by any chance?
Have you ever heard Misery Signals?
I don't believe I have!

Bro please react to the difference between hell and home álbum by counterparts !!! Their best album

That would be correct! This is the only Counterparts album I've ever heard. I really should do a deep dive on them. They've got such a great sound.

Do you do album requests or maybe like take album suggestions?
I'm pretty new to doing album reactions, so I'm kinda just going with whatever inspires me, but I'm always open to suggestions!
