I play the position referee, I can run fast and score good can dunk on the goalie and also blow the whistle really well, what sandals do you recommend? thx
I would recommend a snowboard my good friend. Offers speed, agility and if you're pissed off at a player, feel free to take that bad boy off your feet and whip him in the face!!!!😂😂😂
This is to all of you that keep asking what football boots they should wear based on position. It does NOT matter what freaken soccer cleat you use!!! Just because you play mid field doesn't mean you need to get the Magistas! I'm a goalie and I wear Magistas because I like how flynit feels around my foot. Get the cleat YOU feel comfortable with!!! THATS ALL THAT MATTERS!! Josh clearly said it does NOT matter what cleat you use!! But you guys keep being ignorant and ask the same question he already answered. You guys are getting deceived by Nike advertisements of the cleats! Anyway Josh great video!
Well I'm a pretty new team player so I'm not familiar with clears and how certain brands feel. So I need help deciding what shows wouldn't be good for me as a goalkeeper with wide feet.
My friend has Magistas and he plays midfield but his coach is pushing into a wing position and he keeps saying that his boots wont work on the wing and im always telling him is doesn't matter so im definitely getting him to watch this video before he goes out and buys new boots XD
+joseph god Not really I use adidas I hit the ball real good I can even curve it compare to my old CR7 cleats they were not tight like I wanted them to be
Wingers wear light boots the magistas are quite light but I don't think that you need to wear certain boots you should buy boots that you feel most comfortable with
I think It could have a mental impact say you get a magista and you think you have better touch your mind is set to make your touches be good and you making yourself do it because you are concentrating on having good touches
Josh your points are so valid. Many footballers fall under the placebo about football boots and performance. Feels great knowing you are giving this message out! Thanks.
Your video really helped, "boots by position" would probably mean that I should've gone for adidas Copa Mundials as I am a goalkeeper but I had a look at all the different options and I walked out of the store with Nike Tiempo legend V😀
I have the Hypervenom Phantom and I love them. I usually play as striker but also play midfield and defense. I picked those cleats cause they are extremely comfortable to me and look sick in my opinion. They're a purchase I do not regret. Josh was right in the video, pick a shoe that you like and not based on position. Because I bought shoes marketed as shows for forwards and I basically play almost every position and play great.
I can honestly say I have played in a decent variety of boots, and there were two that really stuck out to me and honestly benefitted me as a player. It wasn't just a case of psychoanalysis but I honestly did play better because they helped neutralize my problem areas. When I first laced up the hypervenoms I did so because they looked cool. What benefitted me though and made me better was the low profile nature. I have a tendency to lift my foot, so a boot that sits higher off the ground is going to magnify the problem. Hypervenoms almost sit IN the grass. No boot will make you a better player, however, if you know your weaknesses, then you can get a boot that lowers the frequency of that problem. If you have a rough time with first touches, get a thicker, softer kangaroo leather (not a mercurial). If you have a problem with different types of passes try something with a wider passing surface (NOT a Puma EVOspeed). Like he says, do your research, and base it on YOU, not what a boot is or isn't supposed to be. Hypervenoms are a "striker's boot." I actually got them because they fit my need for handling and control.
Josh looks like he's venting all dem feels in this video, there are times when he sounds like he'll break down into tears. He sounds like he's trying to keep himself measured as much as he can!
NIKE HYPERVENOM PHANTOM. I've recently bought a new pair of Nike Hypervenom Phantoms, what I can say about the boot is that it's a very light weight boot, it gives you a barefoot feel, and you can make faster turns because of the studs.. Also, it's a boot to consider if you're a speedy player but have wide feet.. Keep it mind though, the sole plate is a bit stiff while you still haven't broken them in... It took me 6 hours of light Football training to break them in.. You'll get the full performance of the boot once you break them in.
I'm a central midfielder/attacking midfielder and I'm a playmaker. I'm not the quickest on the pitch however I've always loved the comfort and feel of the Mecurial line since I was young therefore I own Nike Mecurial Vapor 10's. These are also very good. This shows you should just get boots which you are comfortable with, as Josh says. BTW nice vidio Josh, keep it going;D
I am an all round player one match I'm right back the next match I'm center mid the next match I'm left wing. I made the stupid decision of buying the vapor x's. They are way too thin and provide no protection. Which is why I think the best all round boot is the hypervenom. It isn't extremely thin and provides quite a bit of protection. It also is fairly light weight so it is great for wingers and speed. It also has a very good touch for the ball and rounded studs for agility/passing for a midfielder.
I wanna get hypervenoms but im seriously hesitant. I keep hearing that this person's Hypervenoms ripped after 2 weeks and This persons hypervenoms completely seperated after 6 weeks etc etc. Are they really THAT weak? I don't wanna spend all this money on a cleat that doesn't even last the season. Advice anyone?
If you're hesitant then don't do it. Hypervenoms aren't cheap & if every time you put them on you worry about whether or not they're gonna rip then you're not going to enjoy them. I've heard the poor durability stories as well & I'm sure there are those who's Hypervenoms lasted them ages, but there are 100's of other choices out there :)
Richie W ImExplosive BreackerZz chieflemonz angel munoz Thank you everyone. If i decide to get them i will take care of them and play on the right surface to get a long life out of them :)
Honestly buying cleats or shoes in particular is really about fit, comfortability, and whether the traction or grip to the ground suits your running style.
I've tried just about every shoe on the market and I have stuck with mercurial vapors because they fit my foot perfectly. My advice is for all of you to do the same!! Comfortability is #1!!
Hi Josh ! I truely appreciate all ur videos, ur hardwork....I have learned a lot from every videos of yours....Hope you will be successful and We up the good work of spreading knowledge about things related to football : )
I currently own a pair of Tiempo Legend IV, which were/are generally worn by defenders and goalkeepers, and are also marketed towards them, however I play midfield and they fit my playing style in the sport, thus completely overseeing the whole 'boots by position' concept
Hey Josh, would love to see a retro review on the F50.9 tunits that were in the background for a while there, hope you still have them. Another great video also.
My problem is my feet feel completely uncomfortable in new boots for around 2 weeks... there's no such thing as "breaking" them in, even if I wear them around my house 24/7 so it always makes choosing new boots so damn complicated, but I'm a Goal Keeper, so atleast I don't have to run a lot in them...
Couldn't have been said better!! You could be a goalkeeper that wears Superflys, a winger that wears Copas, or a defender that wears hypervenoms! Doesn't matter
I play a lot of pick up games. In those pick up games, I tend to play striker as Im one of the better players. But competitively, I play centerback. I chose a boot that a defender, midfielder or a striker could wear. That being the Puma Evopower, and I love my decision.
Josh, I notice you have an amzing collection of boots and i would like to ask you where to start in terms of starting a collection. I am a big fan of yours and would love to meet you, if you could come to UK by any chance?
huzaifa umar I wouldn't call myself a collector, but rather an enthusiast. If you want to start a collection, my best advice is to get what you like. Don't buy a boot for the sake of having it, buy it because you like it. I also try to bring in shoes that are my size only.
I play RM and I play a lot of long and through balls, but I also make a lot of weaving runs. However, I wear mercurial superfly's because I like a slim boot. A lot of people see me more as a predator guy or magista. So its all personal preferance.
I'm a speedy CAM and I wear the tiempo legend 5 and I've noticed a HUGE improvement in my speed , long shot taking and my skills and I was wondering if anyone knew why
I wear adidas x 16.3 because I'm a quick striker/midfielder I wear them because I like to move my feet around the ball and take snapshots in and around the box.
I think the only time I'd pick a boot based on my position is playing rugby, I usually stick to the predator incurza or something but I'd definitely need different boots if I was in the tight 5....I realise a lot of folk here are football/soccer players...so this might not be the most useful post. In short, josh, review some incurza's, they are great.
Left back/Right back/Center back/Center defence mid boots (I make a good amount of passes and I to chance my direction sundently, I need to have a good control in my pass even in my shot)
I really don't like the idea of boot by position simply because I play centre mid and people associate that position with boots like the magista's, predators and the 11 pros. When really that isn't the case I personally prefer the f50 range because the feel comfortable on my feet

My friend and i switched shoes for 1 game and they felt wierd on my foot but they did not change the way i played. He gave me tiempos but i'm used to the tight firm mercurials!
This is a great video as I'm a goalkeeper and I wear the 2014 Adidas F50 Adizero in the pink and blue colour way, wear what boots you are comfortable wearing
I'm a bench player what should I get?????? Plz help
haha you need some warm cleats so you don't get cold😂
So slippers?
+Alderney Kingy 😂
Thanks for the help guys
+Alderney Kingy you're really bench player
I play the position referee, I can run fast and score good can dunk on the goalie and also blow the whistle really well, what sandals do you recommend? thx
Reeboks or Lebrons
I would recommend a snowboard my good friend. Offers speed, agility and if you're pissed off at a player, feel free to take that bad boy off your feet and whip him in the face!!!!😂😂😂
J's
Well i mean i have been using some very good speedo flip flops
I recommend the new Super Venom 42069 Model 69696
This is to all of you that keep asking what football boots they should wear based on position. It does NOT matter what freaken soccer cleat you use!!! Well I'm a pretty new team player so I'm not familiar with clears and how certain brands feel. So I need help deciding what shows wouldn't be good for me as a goalkeeper with wide feet.
There are two players on my varsity team that gave magistas one is a forward and one is our goalie so it really doesn't matter
It does matter very much so
Jovani Salazar fuk u m8
Like if you were starting at the cleats in the background
Staring*
The rack was soo distracting! XD
haha i couldnt stop all of those are worth like a few thousand dollars and some were'nt even paired!!
litlos1994 that's what she said.
His Boots Are Dope AF
With new boots you have that mentality to play better I've noticed with me and my friends
My friend has Magistas and he plays midfield but his coach is pushing into a wing position and he keeps saying that his boots wont work on the wing and im always telling him is doesn't matter so im definitely getting him to watch this video before he goes out and buys new boots XD
bro is not the boots!, its the player quality, a good player can play with any boots
+joseph god Not really I use adidas I hit the ball real good I can even curve it compare to my old CR7 cleats they were not tight like I wanted them to be
Wingers wear light boots the magistas are quite light but I don't think that you need to wear certain boots you should buy boots that you feel most comfortable with
+Emiliano Garcia exactly a winger will not where tiempos or puma kings or anything like that
+AcePlayzPE I always wondered why people say that boots help ya curve. I can curve with my bare feet and your not going to curve the whole match.
have you ever liked a take down model more than a high end model of the same boot?
Great banter!
No
yes
Guys stop asking what boots suit you , just watch the video , damn it
eugene akl PREACH 😂😂
eugene akl They are 10 year olds, what can be done..

good video josh i found this very helpful
i'm a long time viewer and I am satisfied with how you answered this subject for the new viewers
Your video really helped, "boots by position" would probably mean that I should've gone for adidas Copa Mundials as I am a goalkeeper but I had a look at all the different options and I walked out of the store with Nike Tiempo legend V😀
look at my dab as a goalkeeper myself I would recommend The Copa Mundial or the Kaiser 5
Both of them have great quality and comfort!
Josh what position do you play
Generally as a striker or central midfield.
***** what are your favorite indoors?
I watched one of his old vids and he said hes a striker
He is CM
He might of changed position??
I can honestly say I have played in a decent variety of boots, and there were two that really stuck out to me and honestly benefitted me as a player. +Linda Malik why do you even comment if everything you say doesn't make sense?

Go synthetic, they feel lighter and are better for you to leap of the ground and dive
Thx for making awesome soccer cleat video SR4U,I really enjoyed it. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I play Left back in the changing rooms (Sometimes coach allows me to play wide right on the bench), can anyone recommend me a good pair of boots?
Hypervenoms are good

5pur5m4n 23 same

SKILLS836 theyre old boots
Paddy lad Yh but still every one of us would’ve had a lot if we just kept ours
I recommend shoes that fit you well and is comfortable , don't judge by the looks !
I'm a Centerback / Fullback & play with superfly 4's fuck logic lol
It doesn't matter
How is that illogical?
ben-t like he said in the video , superfly 4 = speedy WINGER , which he said thats not the case
ben-t yyyyy
dxfan45 If you watched the video he said boots have no impact on position.
Josh looks like he's venting all dem feels in this video, there are times when he sounds like he'll break down into tears. He sounds like he's trying to keep himself measured as much as he can!
Because of all the retards commenting : im a speedy winger what boot should i get?
Do an updated version. A lot of new boots have came out.

what boots should i buy as a CB ?
+syaamil amri Watch the video, it will answer your question.
+syaamil amri you should buy Tiempo´s
Whatever you feel comfortable in but I would probably suggest the Nike tiempo's or the adidas ace
+syaamil amri LOL i wear hypervenom phantom 2 (grey and orange) and im now gna get nike magistas metal flash in socks :D (im a cb)
+syaamil amir im CB and i wear vapor 10

I just picked up my first high end pair of cleats today and am looking forward to wearing them great video
Been with mercs for years
I bet Josh is so mad at everyone commenting saying 'I'm a striker which boot do I need' I would be. watch the the video 😒
man you always make amazing videos
Thousands of dollars in the background
Honestly buying cleats or shoes in particular is really about fit, comfortability, and whether the traction or grip to the ground suits your running style.
Josh obviously you haven't watched "Like Mike" shoes does make you a better player lol jk
I am a midfielder and I wear Nike Mercurial Vortex, They look stunning and feel very good
I've tried just about every shoe on the market and I have stuck with mercurial vapors because they fit my foot perfectly. My advice is for all of you to do the same!! Comfortability is #1!!

Thanx For Being Such A Good TH-camr
Hey :) u might remember me, just wanna say this really helped me out ! Big support nice finally a person who helped me out good!!
This is the truth and no player should be limited by marketing nonsense ! As long as they come Along with your foot it's a good boot

Thanks Josh , this helped a lot
I play as a Winger and i have Adizer0's. But when i where Tiempos they are just the same! Nice vid Josh!!
I'm a pretty fast right winger and I wear tiempo legend V. I just like how they feel.
I played midfield so I wore magistas but now I play wing/wing back so I use mercurials
I play a lot of pick up games. In those pick up games, I tend to play striker as Im one of the better players. But competitively, I play centerback. I chose a boot that a defender, midfielder or a striker could wear. That being the Puma Evopower, and I love my decision.
I'm a right winger and I use Superfly v's, when I was a left back I used hypervenoms
+soccer reviews for you thank u so much. This video really helped me!!
Josh, I notice you have an amzing collection of boots and i would like to ask you where to start in terms of starting a collection. I am a big fan of yours and would love to meet you, if you could come to UK by any chance?

Nice video ! It helped me a lot ! thanks
My favourite leather soccer boots are the 2012 adidas TRX FG LEA yellow&black
Any suggestions on a durable, comfortable, and protective boots?
I play RM and I play a lot of long and through balls, but I also make a lot of weaving runs. However, I wear mercurial superfly's because I like a slim boot. A lot of people see me more as a predator guy or magista. So its all personal preferance.
You are so helpful 😊 thank you so much!
My main position is RW and I use Magista Obra I'm perfectly fine with the cleats and I'm considering Hypervenom 2 or Magista for next pair
No I should say I love my Magista's
I'm RW u play in a academy
I'm a speedy CAM and I wear the tiempo legend 5 and I've noticed a HUGE improvement in my speed , long shot taking and my skills and I was wondering if anyone knew why
The yellow T90 boots (top left). wish i could get my hands on a pair, they are so nice.
lmao so many people asking what shoes to get based on their position because they comment before watching the video.
Im a defender, LCB/RCB specifically and mercurial vapor 8's work really well
Same here but no pets toon for the defense
I am quick, very good shooter, ok skills, and really good defense, should i play cam, cdm, or rm
I wear adidas x 16.3 because I'm a quick striker/midfielder I wear them because I like to move my feet around the ball and take snapshots in and around the box.
I have the exact same boots and I play Striker as well lol Nice!
Nice video, you should do a video about your opinions on brand loyalty.. seems to be a big thing
Keep it up
im a midfielder and im a long shot taker what would u recomend
+Kevin Verdin Watch this video, it will answer your question.
I'm a ST/LW, I wear Puma evopower 1.2 pop and adidas x 16.3

If I play left mid what boots would suit me
josh can you make another deals of the week video?
ive been watching your reviews for 3 years now

im a left wing or left/right back and i switch between hypervenoms, tiempos, or vapors
I play as the CDM. What should I buy? I would like to hear ur recommendation.
David Stark Watch the video, it will answer your question.
i play defense (sometimes midfield) i wear mercurials and i hate when people say "you should wear defending boots" its really annoying
Left back/Right back/Center back/Center defence mid boots (I make a good amount of passes and I to chance my direction sundently, I need to have a good control in my pass even in my shot)
Did you watch the video?
Magista
This is a good video.....real thoughts 👍
i play midfielder i have cr7 and messi also messi and cr7 indoors wat shoe do u recommend
+yamarcus 1238 Watch the video, it will answer your question.
I really don't like the idea of boot by position simply because I play centre mid and people associate that position with boots like the magista's, predators and the 11 pros. When really that isn't the case I personally prefer the f50 range because the feel comfortable on my feet
Right back, only like nike boots! Do a few through balls but need good control and touch! Recommend nike boots for me?
I am a LW, i wanna buy the mercurials but they are very expensive, any recommendations
Mercurial vortex
Where do you put all your left boots?
All the right ones are on the shelf
Most times its all bout the feels, I take better freekicks with an old F50 cuz the area I hit with is a bit padded, but I could still hit the freekick with any shoes , but I feel more comfortable with those.
very interesting video. Thanks ! :D
Im an attacking midfielder and i wear tiempo legend silver storm great boot and are still good to dribble and sprint with
My friend and i switched shoes for 1 game and they felt wierd on my foot but they did not change the way i played. He gave me tiempos but i'm used to the tight firm mercurials!
I'm a LB and I wear Nike Mercurial Superfly (I think) CR AG
+Tear Degree Nike Magista midfielder and Hypervenom forward Adidas midfielder predator instinct or 11pro and forward f50
Can you do an updated video on boots best suited for players with wide feet?
This is a great video as I'm a goalkeeper and I wear the 2014 Adidas F50 Adizero in the pink and blue colour way, wear what boots you are comfortable wearing
I can see your cleats in the video
Do u sell any of those shoes behind you?
I don't know what to get anymore, I'm a right winger. I'm getting a new pair tomorrow and I think I might go with whatever is comfortable.
Watch ths video, it will answer your question.
