Most of the QTE fail animations in Storm 2 were unique and different.
In Storm 3, most of the fail animations were same and were reused several times.
In Storm 4, QTEs didn't have any fail animation *at all* lol
edit: Oh yea, even the first Storm game had some great fail animations.
These proves that the developers (CC2) have gotten lazier gradually.
