Welcome to stage 5. Honestly the stage itself isn't too awful bad considering where we are in the game. Sure there's a few areas that can trip you up if you're not careful. But all in all the enemies are fairly predictable, most of them relying on basic streaming patterns to beat. Well... Streaming while dodging other crap... but streaming nonetheless.
Rin as a mid boss also isn't much to write home about. Essentially just a slightly tougher version of what she did last stage.
Now as a boss however... well let's put it to you this way. Most stage 5 bosses have some sort of special ability that really makes them dangerous like stopping or slowing down time... Rin doesn't need any special ability. Rin will break you.
I mean I could go on about her zombie fairies that blast you every time you destroy them. Or her spirits she likes summoning that explode if you shoot them. But let's be honest here, when going against Rin just figure out how to beat "Needle Mountain of a Former Hell". That spell card is solely there to make you cry tears of blood. If you can beat that spell card you have now won the game. There is nothing tougher that will be thrown your way.

I still can't believe I did the Needle Hell spell card perfectly on my 1cc run. Didn't even care that I lost four lives on the final boss; that shot my nerves and I was way too proud of that achievement to care lmao
Funny thing about 6:58 is that it has some logic to it which makes predicting the rings trajectory really easy when you have it figured... but the spell is still damn hard anyway
I was playing this game few days ago and that is when i realized there is actually a pattern in the rings, but its probably aimed at you so moving at the right time in a pattern is my strat, but its still hard tho
I think I figured it out.
So the needles are actually thrown at you, though not exactly where you were at. So whenever you hear the needle forming sound, move away from where you were a bit ago. The real problem is dodging walls of needles.
Just like Stage 4, I love how well the stage goes with the music and the overall atmosphere, especially the opening/ending section at the start/end of stage.
I actually never had any problems with Orin surprisingly despite Satori and the stage itself giving me a hard time when I was new. Took me a while to figure out how her first spell worked but besides that she was never that hard to me. The 3rd spell never felt that hard, although it did feel cheap because the rings are incredibly hard to see.

In Atonement "Needle Mountain of a Former Hell", the spirit wheels are actually aimed directly at your position, so you should be able to just step aside to dodge them. At least, that's what I recall from learning this game.

I'm stuck at this level for now... what's with this Touhou, it's so difficult. After beating the entirety of Shoot the Bullet and PCB's Phantasm stage, I felt prepared for anything Touhou could throw at me, but I can't even beat SA in normal difficulty yet. time to git gud.

[2:09] Pfft, okay with this deathbomb and the death you commented on I'm kind of baffled that you got hit to begin. In both cases, there was clearly open space just to your right, but you simply stood still. I know this was years ago, but it's still strange.
I'm almost sure the rings are aimed at you when they spawn but because they move slowly you change your position and it looks like they're random

TFW Orin (and Satori, depending on your partner) is usually the reason you can't 1cc this game. I swear Orin is harder than Okuu despite not having any tricks outside of the zombie fairies. I also love the conversation about the gunpowder. How else would Alice use Artful Sacrifice?!

9:35 Disgaea 4 did this by having the game do this *FOUR TIMES!!!*
First, you go fight the Netherworld President. Then it turns out he's under the thumb of a guy who calls himself Judge Nemo.
Second, you go to Earth to confront Judge Nemo and the artificial demon who killed one of your teammates (she was dead before the game began and before you fought her as a boss *and* before you recruited her, but she thinks that the whole game is just her dreaming). Then it turns out the villain plans on wiping out humanity with a plan that regards the Moon.
Third, you go to the Moon to stop the plan. There, you fight a bunch of aliens who the villain works with to wipe out humanity and foil *two different methods* of wiping out all humans. Then the villain starts to not feel well and disappears, only for something called "Fear the Great" to appear on Earth.
Fourth and finally, you go to Fear the Great to stop it. *THEN,* it's finally over!
Tip: not shooting in some parts of this stage makes it way easier since lots of the enemies shoot revenge bullets, but you will miss out on point items and power (if you’re not at full yet)
