Rio told Agatha "that boy isn't yours" so that Agatha would be able to heal WITHOUT the crutch of believing Teen might be her lost son. I think Rio has learned a little about humans and especially Agatha. Seems you can teach an old (very, very, VERY old) dog new tricks. It was manipulative, maybe, but wasn't to be cruel. It was her way to "clean the wound" before it scabbed over and risked infection (medical analogy seems appropriate here)
I realized the colors of The Road are clues about whose trial is coming next. When they first entered the road, the vines, leaves and mushrooms on The Road were all blue. The first trial was for the water phase of the moon and it was Jen's trial. After they came down the water slide at the end of that episode, the vines, leaves and mushrooms had all turned orange. That carried into the beginning of this episode and it was the fire phase of the moon and Alice's trial. After they left her trial at the end, the vines, leaves and mushrooms were all purple, so I'm guessing the next trial will be Agatha's because her color is purple.
One thing I just caught is that in episode three, we see Agatha’s hallucination over a baby’s bassinet. And she told Jen that she left her alone because her work was _important._ Here, it’s revealed Jen was a midwife. So I believe Agatha’s son died during childbirth - which is why Agatha put great respect on Jen and her work as a midwife, knowing how vital her knowledge was to prevent what happened to Agatha from reoccurring. I believe Agatha began to hate Rio after Rio took her son from her after he was born, as was her job, with no choice in the matter. I believe this is why Agatha sought the Darkhold, to resurrect her son. And this violation of the natural law is what made Rio target Agatha, for trying to undo her _literal_ reason for existing. And the reason the sigil is placed on Billy could be to prevent Agatha from killing him out of spite due to her grudge with Wanda. I don’t think she ever walked the road. And most of her villainous reputation is just malicious gossip and misunderstanding. Which also was filled by her evil deeds when corrupted by the Darkhold, much like we saw with Wanda.
@@gregoryfarshtey6856 I believe what @arc7573 ment was that Jen was A midwife, not THE midwife. As in, Agatha simply respects her for her work and not anything specific Jen did for Agatha. She never met Jen before
@@mlovras2614 Exactly. I meant that Agatha lost her child. And knowing that pain, respected Jen for her work with mothers and their children. I’m not saying Jen was Agatha’s midwife. I was writing under the assumption that they didn’t meet until _well_ after Nicky was lost. But with the knowledge of the pain a mother feels when she loses her child, Agatha respects Jen, stating that her work is important.
usually when Lilia has her devinition moments there's a "ding sound" before she says something, I noticed. So maybe at 13:25 she wanted to say "I love you guys", from last episode. I don't know just a guess haha
I’m leaving this same comment everywhere, I know, but it says everything: This was easily my favorite ep so far, and this is already in my top five marvel *things* ever and we’re only halfway done. This cast is absolute fire. Legit got emotional multiple times in this episode.
You’re such a sus for any Disney Marvel popping out content . Like a bunch of pigs eating their bin with their smashed dirty apples and consuming like pigs. Just another bot that likes it because it matches your narrative agenda rather than actual storytelling.
Lilia's "huh" moment at 13:24 is I think a premonition fulfilled! It was supposed to be her "I love you guys" moment from the third episode while they were all swollen.
I like how everything lilia says are coming true in future eps. I think the 2nd eps she shouts 'Get off me' which she says when the cure starts to burn her. I'm keeping note of every 'weird' thing she says
This series does remind me of what Agatha said in Wandavison. “The only way forward is back” and this seems to be what a lot of the witches are doing. Similar to what Agatha did with Wanda. And Rio most certainly is death. It’s so obvious at this point. “Her bodies” “doing her job” the way she was eyeballing teen. Yeah. Tho I am curious if she has magic like Wanda’s but Green.
There were SO MANY CLUES about two of the main characters in this episode! I can't wait for the reveals and to see how it all unfolds! I LOVE THIS SHOW! 💙💚🔮
One last comment! They used the 🔥motif excellently in Episode 4! 👏👏 Fire is a very quick element and its luck comes and goes quickly so the trial..no surprise was fast But the campfire, surprise surprise.... revealed even more about the characters with the theme of fire continuing. They all warmed up to each other (pun intended) Fire is also widespread and spreads fast, like music. To tie fire and music together was genius. VERY nicely done!
0:52 - Agatha has been down the road before, and left with only one other witch. It does kill and claim witches, any other show or story that claims otherwise is false. It wouldn’t be the road without ACTUAL risk.
🎶Death’s hand in mine🎵 Rio is finally here and she needs to be according to the ballad. Plus her being not just “a” green witch but rather “the” Green Witch makes sense. Death ultimately would be the first Green Witch after all. She deals with restoring carbon based lifeforms back into the Earth once they came. And on the Que of Lilia saying “gestate..” then Death pops out of the ground like she was being born is nicely done. Great symbolism beyond the sets and costumes and writing they’re using all aspects of the environment to convey this story. Jac should have the Keys to EVERY SINGLE OTHERWORLDLY CHARACTER.
I love this show is definitely feel like Rio is death because she seems that way from the get go and death in Lilia's vision of ep.3 looked like her in this episode I might be on to something I don't know
Marvel Comics context for "The Daughters of Liberty": Agatha led a covert (secret) group of various magic users/supernatural beings of different strengths, (Alchemists, Sorcerors, Witches, Werewolves, Vampires, Rio by her Comics name, etc.) in leveraging the magical world against the British magic users during the Revolutionary War.
All things considered, Teen did a pretty good job of playing off flying through the glass and getting a chunk of it lodged in him... 😅 he's just walking around like it's nothing until the reveal.
🔥💧trials ✅ 🎉 Cant wait for the Air/Earth trials up next 🥳 Honestly, this feels like an RPG where the party goes to elemental dungeons and pass the tests I love it!
What I think is so funny (and kinda sad) is there’s so many reasons why Mrs. Hart could’ve died last episode and the “she needed two potions” just adds another to the list. Didn’t even think about that
First time i saw Audrey Plaza was in Legion the Marvel TV series which was trippy. Shadow King in that. Think she is Blackheart from comics here. Show has me hooked.
Side note, anyone that loves agatha all along should go play "Alan Wake 2." I love stories that use dark dimensions and ethereal energy to test our souls for good and bad.
I don’t think Rio is a green witch. She popped up with fake flowers. In episode 2 during their fight Agatha told her she had no heart and she said it was black. On the list of witches there was no 5th name, only a black heart.Rio was supposed to go but Agatha didn’t want her so she grabbed Sharon.Rio is death or an agent of Mephisto.
RIGHT before Rio says “that boy isn’t yours” and after she says Agatha you can see that she says something. Watch her mouth really closely. Earlier in the episode, Agatha tells teen that the sigil placed on him also affects the witch that cast it
I like acting driven stuff. This much like a stage play right to the elaborate sets and wardrobe. I'm enjoying that. I am having an issue that are too obvious about the mystery aspect. I had mystery writing classes young though so I know where a thing is placed and how to catch that. I also either read before or read up on the source material which is a big spoiler but even without it? It's properly done mind you in they gave it all away in the CSI style, no coincidence, style illusion in episode 1. It' distracting. I'm being cagey on purpose too because I don't want to ruin it but it is all there plain as day. Probably a good thing you do not retrace. I always watch twice out of habit, once to immerse in the experience and second to enjoy the production value of a thing and the second go is when it pieced together. Still I enjoy the performances to still be invested in this. And those wonderful, vibrant sets.
