Thanks for posting these wonderful selections by the incomparable Johnny Smith. To my ear, he was the epitome of good taste in guitar playing and always so clean and precise!
0:00 - Let’s Fall in Love 02:22 - I Can’t Get Started 07:21 - Some of these Days 09:50 - You Took Advantage of Me 12:01 - Over The Rainbow 14:31 - Out of Nowhere 18:08 - Un Poco Loco 21:41 - Hippo the Sentimental 24:42 - It’s You or No-one I think the second track, listed (top) as "the virus" (begins 02.22) is "I Can't Get Started" by Ira Gershwin and Vernon Duke, and usually associated with Bunny Berigan. Johnny Smith deserves to be remembered amongst the all-time greats, and it's hard to understand why he isn't. Maybe it's the unassuming name?
