While touring a mining museum in our home state of Nevada, our guide gave us some educational advice that we've shared freely since. As a Canadian, I'm embarrassed by the number of fellow Canadians in this video who acted like morons while in another country! We're supposed to be better than that!
The story about Pompeii reminds me of a time when I hired a Ute Indian to give me and my family a tour of some ancient sites located on the Ute reservation near Cortez, Colorado. He told us not to pick up and keep any artifacts we might find. He told us that numerous times people who did so have returned items they took, saying that after they had gotten back home they began having a run of bad luck. I made sure that none of my kids took anything!

Btw: one year in Brussels, during the so-called Saint-V procession on the 20th of November, when students get very drunk and very dirty while driving through parts of Brussels on the back of trucks that have been fitted with FREE beer taps, a limousine sporting several small Japanese flags was forced to stop alongside our truck: a couple of hundred students immediately started pelting the car with eggs, flower, ketchup, beer, chocolate syrup, whipped cream etc. We later discovered the Japanese Emperor who was visiting Brussels was NOT amused!

10:47 😂 LOL. What a whopper, absolute tool haha.
How do you live day to day when you are so clueless as to deface monuments?
Taking items without permission is called "stealing" so its great that some people returned it, but it has been done, especially after experiencing the big consequences, physically and emotionally.
I'm so angry about the damaging of the Florentine Neptune statue. Its my favorite dipiction of my favorite god. How can people be so disrispectful toward such beautiful art.
It is not hard to go on vacation holiday what have you stay where you’re supposed to stay eat good food have good experiences without breaking any laws and disrespecting the place. You are visiting appreciate being able to go there because there are some places in this world where people cannot travel freely , it is a privilege and should be treated as such, show respect not to mention you represent your home country one bad apple does not define all however it sure does leave a bad taste
The fucking audacity...
That's why we cant have nice things!!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Swimming in Venice: yeeeee…! That’s worse than swimming in the East River* [in the 1070s - no idea about today.]! *If you know, you know.
Stupidity comes in all shapes and ages. But in these cases it was a lack of respect. And it is still going on. No ending for this.
I don’t understand why people can’t keep their hands to themselves. How would they feel if someone went to their home and damaged it or broke in? And the helicopter incident? WTH?
Stealing from the dead, is asking fore trouble
Can you imagine buying a nice home only to find out later it along with your entire neighborhood was built over native amercian graves? It happened more than im even comfortable thinking about. You can go on google earth and some you can find earth works with roads running through it and homes built on top. In short what we call home others call graves. Stealing from the dead is a common occurence in the USA. Disturbing and sad
I know someone who took soil from the Pompeii site and i dont care what you think i can attest to bad happenings when in possession of it. They also got rid of it. Btw. Wont catch me doing anything like this whether its real or not . I wont take chances
Everyone does stupid things without thinking them through first. Just glad the dude is alive and he realizes that probably wasn't the wisest choice. He obviously paid both physically and financially for the decision. Give him a break!
Just ignorance and stupidity, all should have been thrown into jail for a few days.
imagine, being fined for swimming in the waste water of venice.i would have let them swim even longer
I wonder how many ended up with horrible diseases or infections from that sewage. Ick.
Boris Yeltsin should have been number one. He was a scream!
I'm surprised yet relieved that these aren't all Americans
that helicopter one angered me the most. trying to get yourself and others killed for a video??? she should have been charged just like that guy on alaska airlines last year.
Venice's canals are filthy!! Ewwwwwww!!!!!!!
I knew they are renowned for being dirty, but I had no idea that the effluent of Venice was emptied into them!!
That's really shocking!!
Did anyone else laugh at the apologies by these losers? Apologies clearly written by lawyers without any input from the criminals
While on a visit of a Brahman temple in Rajastan (the only such temple btw) I saw someone from my group URINATE (!) against the wall INSIDE the temple. Shocking and potentially VERY dangerous. Imagine what could have happened if the local population had seen this!
On the other hand , being Belgian I know that the lions are climbed at least once a year, on the 20th of November, when a procession of drunken students from the free University of Brussels climb them and even cover them with eggs, flower, chocolate syrup, beer, etc (Think I did it myself almost forty years ago in a drunken stupor)
He didn't jump on a wihm if everyone had time to get their camera ready.
Those who damaged should have gotten jail time
Surprised you didnt do the torist that stole a poster of Jin Jung IL
Are you a lady with stunningly long hair? I adore women who grow it that way, describe it please?
I had never heard any of that about Yeltsin.
Good morning from PAPUA NEW GUINEA. I enjoyed watching your contents
Indonesia in Southeast Asia became International Headlines when Bali was home of Misbehaving Tourists which is mostly Australians, Russians, Americans, German and many others
In the Philippines, following the Persona Non Grata of two bloggers in Palawan, some of them are suggesting to declared Persona Non Grata against Misbehaving Tourists because this issue become hot topic in the Philippines and Indonesia
That's just nasty about the Venice canals. I had no clue they did that. I'm pleasantly surprised there weren't more Americans .
