Great comparison Owen! They each have their purpose and Solo has really stepped up their game with accessories to increase their stove's functionality.
Great comparing the 2 solo and the parkway stove. I like them both. If no room I will use the park away stove. I would bring the solo stove if I had lots of room. Nice that solo has stepped it up though with their accessories. I see their commercials a lot The steaks looked good. Yummy! Where’s mine? lol! Loved you singing at the end Owen. Lynn’s lucky to have you around. A cook and a singer. lol! Great video!
We recently bought the same pop up fire pit and we really like it. One of the main reasons is one thing you said. The campground fire rings are rarely in a good place. We like we can put it wherever we want.
Thanks for the comparison. I have been thinking about the pop up fire pit for a while then you mentioned the smoke taste from cooking on it and that push me over the edge. Enjoyed your song at the end as well.
We have both, but are in a Class B; No room for the big old Solo Stove. We are considering a small trailer to take things like that. We do have the smaller Mesa XL Solo Stove and it does a surprising job at flame and heat. And it does fit in our rear storage box. Thanks for the video. Happy Tails!
That’s so funny! I love “tending” the fire. Always carry a special pokie stick with us. 😂 I didn’t really consider that you don’t need to do that with the Solo stove. 😢 We travel in a van, and have a propane ammo can fire pit. And a 5 lb propane can. Not the same as a wood fire, but takes up very little space.
I’m just getting back into these videos again as we build out our camper van and prepare for our first big trip. We have a little folding fire pit that we may or may not take with us. This was really helpful.
Somehow I missed this video. We got a Solo Stove off your recommendation 9ish months ago and love it. I do like the size of the other mesh fire pit due to the fact that we have a van but always take our solo stove. It's definitely worth it for us. Thanks for the comparison video.
Two fire pits and a song! You can not beat a Van Trekking video. Thanks for giving us the comparison, I want a solo but just don't have the room in Sherman. We are home and the house is OK now I have got to get caught up on You Tube. Happy tails and safe travels
I have the Pop Up Fire Pit. I like the way it packs down. I start a fire to sit around and stay warm and maybe cook on it. As you said, and so have others, you won’t be as warm sitting around a Solo. They finally had to admit this themselves and develop a heat reflector. I’d have to carry a Solo and the reflector. Too much room. I also carry a Trail Fire Grill 4 in 1.
We have both also. We find the heat output to be more on the pop up as the sides aren’t as high as the Solo stove. You can also put your feet under the pop up. The heat from the Solo stove comes straight out the top with little radiant heat around the sides.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle There's a bag for the shield to keep the soot off you. The "cone" fits inside the stove for transport and doubles for the cooking grates. I simply use a bbq grill on top of the cone. Both the cooking and heat deflecting work great.
Whenever my husband catches me watching one of your videos, he always says, “Just hold on for 2 more years, and we will live like them.” ❤️
We always enjoy your singing. It really makes your channel unique and special to us. Thank you and we hope you keep it up. 😊
Oh goodness, thank you for the song!! Need MORE please 💕
Great reviews of the two products and we got the cherry on top of the cake with Owen doing a tune!
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed your singing. Nice comparison.
Loved the song!

As always enjoy your channel!! BS & BK &BC !!!!!!!
Thanks for a great presentation! Love your song by the way
I have a metal grate from a grill that I take with me ad place it on top of the solo stove to cook on
That is a great idea, I need to look and see if I can find an extra grate.

I can't commit on the Solo Stove, as I have never used one but we have been using the Popup Pit for the past few years, and we love it.
Great job ! Makes me happy when you do a mid week video also.

We have a class b van and the Mesa XL solo stove. That works for us
I just use the one at the campsite 😊
Great review. Smokie fires are a problem for us. Looks like Solo would be a win for us. Thanks. Music was nice too.

I shooooow did like that Juanita song.

Good luck with your build. Sound exciting.

Solo stove for the win except for size / packable....sweet music to end it

We get it. Have enough room in the Ekko but if we ever downsized we'd have to make some hard decisions too

Thanks for your input, it is much appreciated.
The pop-up fire pit is it easy to get a replacement screen if you ever need to get one
How do you get a replacement screen?
I'm not mhched interested in ooen fires, but I loved your singing. Do mire if that please.
Nice and interesting ❤👍
Thanks for watching
Great comparison. I have a cooking grate for my solostove that works pretty well too. Thank you!
Great tip!

Totally agree. Can't even count the number of times winter camping where we've pushed our toes under the pop-up to get warm.
Ever try the Solo Stove Heat Deflector? It directs some heat downward to warm your feet.
No we haven't. Looks like a good option if you have the room.

Thanks for playing a song
Would seem pop up would cool down quicker for transport.
It does for sure. You can empty it in fire fire pit and it cools off pretty quickly.
