Not long compared to Zoo, Handlock, or Miracle Rouge. While not always in the meta I think its safe to say they are all at 50% of hearthstone's lifetime or more. ... RIP Blade Flurry, RIP Rouge.
Zoo and Handlock were just cancer though. Miracle Rogue was just that: a miracle deck, and it took a damn lot of skill to play it with several different versions of it at any time, so you couldn't just copy and paste it for maximum ladder wins. Zoo was just fucking play whatever is in your hand = profit. Handlock was just tap, tap, giant, board clear, drop big shit, repeat...while Miracle Rogue you had to effectively count your cards, mana pool, when to hit with weapon/play blade flurry, figure in spell damage, ect. Patron warrior was also a great deck like Miracle Rogue, but it took a lot of skill to use it, it wasn't just a cookie cutter legend deck. If I lose to a deck that requires a lot of thought and skill, I can't be salty. If I lose to a deck that requires minimal effort, then I'm pissed.

did priest give away lethal at min 4:58 ? because volcanos 15 damage were more than the on board live (8+3+1+1) and hydra would have dealt 24 face damage (26-24=2) so if the priest just would have gone face before volcano he would have won

I do love playing a bit of Hunter, but it is hard to play a 'Midrange Hunter' deck - I always just feel like I am playing an Aggro deck in the end... Even when I have the N'Zoth deathrattle package in there..! I might craft the Hunter DK now though
what does rexxar accomplish in this deck? I played Asmodais Hunter and 100% lost when playing rexxar. I would love if someone could explain to me how he is meant to be used
Alejandro ST priest mainly play spell removal before damage, and priests struggle to deal damage in series of 1s, so it's "better" to play around SW:D rather than volcano
its not a missplay as a hunter rarely cares about its heath, especially vs priest it's much more important to deny the draw. But yeah you see them advanced plays
Playing around specifically Volcano from Un'goro pack is asking a bit much of anyone. Silencing it was still probably a solid idea, but you dont just *expect* the enemy priest to have Volcano as a Hunter.
8:00 This is the first time I've ever seen someone win a game because of Bittertide Hydra, yet people keep saying it's amazing. Every other time I see it, it's either killed before it can make a good enough impact or it ends up killing the summoner.
With a Jeweled Macaw and maybe a Firey Bat, as well as something like a Stitched Tracker, Bearshark, or maybe one more two drop. The biggest change I would suggest along with that is cutting a bittertide hydra for a savannah highmane.

What would they nerf about Patches? His attack? His health? Prevent him from being summoned by pirates? Patches in and of himself isn't OP. He makes winrates go up because he strengthens the early game *and* makes draws more consistent, but it is very possible to win against a patches opening without a patches opening by playing smartly. Concede to yourself that they may have the early game board, hedge, and play safe. Be efficient and make only trades that give utmost value, play against every option you can think of, and then eventually you'll have made up for that 1/1 with charge.
Knowing Blizzard a nerf to Patches would make him be drawn when you play a pirate instead of summoned. Nat wasn't op either, Blizzard nerfed him because they didn't like how he was being put in so many decks for his all around goodness. I'm not making the argument he's op(that's why I referenced Nat), I actually want to craft him because he goes in so many decks and is just a cool legendary

You're not gonna discover a lethal unless you hit exactly Razormaw into windfury and even if you don't play around double unleash (which Trump could afford here, but granted it's highly unlikely) you'd still rather play animal companion + bow, since huffer sets up lethal next turn with hero power, Misha prevents a lot of what hunter can do (and would have actually won the game) and leok sets up lethal next turn with eagle horn bow. Typical for Trump to miss out on what is almost a guaranteed lethal setup, just to get the hero power value. Btw all outcomes of this play also set up lethal against Deathstalker, unless his opponent runs boar.
Would it not be correct to play Rexxar ASAP? You kept it in the mulligan and then never played it. It's not like the priest was putting any pressure on you, except with Elise. EDIT: I shouldn't have said ASAP, I should have said on turn 10. That was the big mistake for me, even without the Volcano shenanigans.
cluelesspugHS No, it would've been wrong to ever play Rexxar in that match with the way it went. The point of Rexxar is to have an out when being aggressive doesn't get you there. But the deck he's playing is aggressive. So if he can, he'll want to keep the 2 damage button. The way the deck is set up. You can tell it's only an alternative win condition or clutch board clear. I think Trump just thought that the match up might be one in which Rexxar would be important, he didn't want to be caught without it. Sacrificing a spot in the hand is acceptable if you are fairly certain it will be a life saver. And the way priest could interact with that decks win condition, keeping the alternate condition is smart and almost always worth the spot in the hand. Because, if it does end up being a dead card, it means your original win condition is working anyways.
I've seen so many Hunter's lose a game they were winning because they played the Death Knight too early. Losing Steady Shot when you are ahead is not a good diea.
I get your reasoning, but I have to disagree. Trump was NEVER going to win the face race or board control game with that priest's insane answers. The huge mistake for me was at 4:44. To expect the Hydra to connect over multiple turns when the priest had played neither Death nor Shadowreaper is way too optimistic (plus he'd just opened an Un'Goro Pack which could have answers, which it did). DK Rexxar cleared the priest's small minions, and allowed him to get in both hero powers that turn.

cluelesspugHS No, it would've been wrong to ever play Rexxar in that match with the way it went. The point of Rexxar is to have an out when being aggressive doesn't get you there. But the deck he's playing is aggressive. So if he can, he'll want to keep the 2 damage button. The way the deck is set up. You can tell it's only an alternative win condition or clutch board clear. I think Trump just thought that the match up might be one in which Rexxar would be important, he didn't want to be caught without it. Sacrificing a spot in the hand is acceptable if you are fairly certain it will be a life saver. And the way priest could interact with that decks win condition, keeping the alternate condition is smart and almost always worth the spot in the hand. Because, if it does end up being a dead card, it means your original win condition is working anyways.

I've seen so many Hunter's lose a game they were winning because they played the Death Knight too early. Losing Steady Shot when you are ahead is not a good diea.
I get your reasoning, but I have to disagree. Trump was NEVER going to win the face race or board control game with that priest's insane answers. The huge mistake for me was at 4:44. To expect the Hydra to connect over multiple turns when the priest had played neither Death nor Shadowreaper is way too optimistic (plus he'd just opened an Un'Goro Pack which could have answers, which it did). DK Rexxar cleared the priest's small minions, and allowed him to get in both hero powers that turn.
But he kept saying he was going to get the Rexxar out and it was already late game with no minions in his hand.
