It was a early Christmas present to my self. So I got mine earlier this week just to play all my Bethesda favorites. Starfield runs like a dream on this. It took it lol a while to up date but has been running awesome

Even after the legion Go and Steam Deck Oled I still think the ROG Ally is the best handheld, the smaller form factor, the amazing 1080p 120hz LCD, performance is far better than the steam deck for example not the best optimized game The Last of Us Part 1 the deck it struggles to get stable 30fps at 720p lowest settings, the ally does 1080p preset around 40-50fps, at 900p for example still looks great and runs around 50-60 stable or even higher inside buildings, the lenovo and ally are close in performance but in my opinion it defeats the purpose of an handheld to being so huge and probably not as comfortable as the deck and ally, pretty sure the oled will look good but 720p or even 800p is still a lower resolution, and who cares about the display if you can't run the games properly ?

I must say, the Steam Deck OLED looks awfully appealing
Would have definitely got it instead of the ally if they at least changed the chip to the z1 extreme. Unfortunately still the same specs. So not worth it for me.
I just got one of these bad boys, I have the extreme edition. I will have PC games running off the internal storage only and retro game roms only running off an SD card, which will keep things easier to manage. I have only Dolphin and Redream set up on the SD card so far.
let me know if your rog ally sd card still working i never tried mine i got 2 tb on my rog ally. but i stil want to put sd card, but i'm afriad it might get stuck due to the heat of the ally. so yeah thanks
@@tony989 I currently only have a dreamcast emulator and a bunch of dreamcast games on my SD card and it seems to be working without any issues. I won't be running any newer AAA games off of the SD as I think games that take advantage of direct storage could be causing the overheating SD slot issue on the Ally. I think any older or less demanding game should be fine to run from the SD slot.

It's the best. Until the SD OLED is out, then it's obsolete.
Is that a serious comment ? The SD still sucks in terms of performance mate 😅 who care about the display if the latest titles struggles to get even stable 30fps ? As amazing as an Oled screen looks and sounds the deck needs more muscle to compete
@@RubenNeves22fr it’s basically useless. The steam deck is basically only good for emulation. Glad I been selling mine
