This is a reupload of a video that was originally uploaded in 2020. However It got 4 separate copyright claims across a week in early December. Not knowing what was going on, and knowing that disputes rarely go the creator’s way, I decided to trim out those segments and take the video down. Then I received 4 more copyright claims across 3 other videos. Other NASCAR TH-camrs had similar problems recently and they told me to just dispute the claims and they will all be dropped. Because of NASCAR Classics going live, the content ID bots are automatically claiming some footage. On twitter, reps from NASCAR Media group stated that they’re working to resolve the issues and it may take a while to release all the claims during the holidays, but have patience and just dispute any claims. But by the time I realized what was going on, this video had already had nearly 3 minutes claimed and had been irreversibly trimmed, so here’s the reupload. tl;dr - It’s not NASCAR’s fault that a lot of stuff is getting claimed, it’s a combo of NASCAR Classics’ library and content ID bots trying to protect copyrights. They plan on releasing all claims asap, and any further claims will just be disputed and I should be fine. This video was edited by Biodegradable. I’m so glad you put Talladega on the list. I know some fans enjoy the wrecks but they always make me uncomfortable, probably cause I’ve seen quite a few drivers in NASCAR, F1, and Indy car die most notably Dale Earnhardt Sr. So Talladega being always marketed for its big one wrecks really is disturbing to me.
I was at the 2011 Cup race at Kentucky, I remember being stuck in traffic so bad people were outside their cars conversing with one another and using the restroom in the woods. We didn’t get in until Lap 120 something of 267. I was 10 years old at the time and my mom had taken me for my birthday- good times
Me and my dad went to that race in 2011 at Kentucky and we had a hotel less than an hour from the track and it took almost 5 hours to get there. got to see about half the race lol.
I went in 2016 and 2019, two of the best finishes in races those 2 years I went. The 2016 race was the infamous Brad K Carl Edwards fuel mileage win and 2019 was the Busch Brothers show:
I would say the one thing that will keep TMS on the schedule for as long as possible is NASCAR will likely do everything they can to stay in a top 5 media market. Yes, they took California/Fontana off the schedule, but the fact that they ran a race at the LA Coliseum this year tells me they still want the LA market as well. See also how they took Chicagoland off only to add the Chicago street race and giving it the July 4 weekend date, taking that away from Daytona. It's similar to why people are telling me the NBA will not let the Dallas Mavericks leave town despite their new owners planning certain demands for a new building that I doubt the state will allow.
Honestly surprised Texas isn’t higher. Indycar had issues with drivers passing out from G-Forces one year then had rain cause race to be split and have second half ran 2 months later. And then there’s the reconfiguration
Well, to maybe appease the Talladega crowd, if you do update this you need to add the most recent colossal screw-up in track ideas, the LA Coliseum track. Talk about just plain stupid!
They should think about using UK style destruction derby banger racing to test track safety. Those guys slam each other into every part of the track and do it in budget junkers with limited safety. What better way to test barrier technology?
I go to school like a mile from Daytona international speedway, you can literally hear the cars from your house, it’s cool as long as you’re not trying to sleep 😂
Texas world unfortunately was wayyyy before it’s time. If it were there now I guarantee you it’d sellout. The racing there was fun to watch too. Wish they’d had been capable of keeping it around
I grew up going to figure 8 races at Bithlo Speedway, just outside of Orlando, and I always just assumed that they originated in Florida (makes sense, right?).
Hey Slapshoes, I believe you got Tulsa Speedway and State Fair Speedway in Oklahoma City turned around. Tulsa Speedway shut down in 2005 and the State Fair Speedway shut down in 2009, with that being said i wish you would do a video about the State Fair Speedway
I think the Air Base Speedway should have been No.1. Every tracks on the list, including Langhorne and Texas World, had one big saving grace. Either they had excellent amenities, were bit hits with the fans or the track was just so good NASCAR kept coming there. Air Base Speedway has no such thing.
Hey thanks Nascar or whoever keeps flagging our favorite creators. The fact of the matter is you got a lot of people who couldn't give a s*** about NASCAR who watched these and actually gain a little bit of interest. But instead of allowing Marketing in the realm of documentaries, we hit the little guy where it hurts and ruin our reputation more and more. Slapshoes should start his own Racing League at this point
Given that Rockingham was dropped for not selling out its 70-ish thousand seats, I find it hilarious that Chicago has already been dropped, and Texas can only sell a third of its 150,000 seats. Bring back racing to the tracks where it belongs in the SE heartland of NASCAR racing!
I don’t think Kentucky was inherently a bad track. I think it just had a good run of bad luck. Well, minus the initial logistical nightmare. I blame the rules packages of the times as the main issue with the racing.

Well DERN SORRY I missed it the first time. Still another GREAT Slap Vid 🏆🏆
Merry Christmas, SlapShoes.
Talledaga shouldn’t be on the list. Daytona’s wrecks and history is way worse and Texas should be lower
Re-upload? Guess I'll watch it for the 5th time:)
Hope this catches fire 🔥 merry Christmas slap
I was wondering if you were going to get to Langhorne. It made number one. Good list.
Well, to maybe appease the Talladega crowd, if you do update this you need to add the most recent colossal screw-up in track ideas, the LA Coliseum track. Talk about just plain stupid!
Rip, false alarm it was a reupload
They should think about using UK style destruction derby banger racing to test track safety. Those guys slam each other into every part of the track and do it in budget junkers with limited safety. What better way to test barrier technology?
I go to school like a mile from Daytona international speedway, you can literally hear the cars from your house, it’s cool as long as you’re not trying to sleep 😂
Right out of the gate, Talladega was first. Shoes, you don't disappoint. lol
Texas world unfortunately was wayyyy before it’s time. If it were there now I guarantee you it’d sellout. The racing there was fun to watch too. Wish they’d had been capable of keeping it around
Darn copyright strikes
Reuploaded exactly when Christmas came by, Merry Christmas Slap 👌
I grew up going to figure 8 races at Bithlo Speedway, just outside of Orlando, and I always just assumed that they originated in Florida (makes sense, right?).
Hey Slapshoes, I believe you got Tulsa Speedway and State Fair Speedway in Oklahoma City turned around. Tulsa Speedway shut down in 2005 and the State Fair Speedway shut down in 2009, with that being said i wish you would do a video about the State Fair Speedway
I'm still amazed that I'm walking distance from #1 on this list!
Merry Christmas S1apSh0es.
Quite Unfortunate that your video was copyright claimed,
Merry Christmas Eve SlAp
Texas is so much better as an IndyCar track.
Though, the danger is imminent. And Kenny Brack might disagree, lol.
You should make a video about the goodyear 500
I just realized I work a mile from airbase speedway lol
For me the worst track for me is Phoenix.
I live in Raleigh and I had no idea we had a track lol
I don’t think Kentucky was inherently a bad track. I think it just had a good run of bad luck. Well, minus the initial logistical nightmare. I blame the rules packages of the times as the main issue with the racing.
The racing before the repave and reconfiguration was fair. It seemed like the repave killed it. Though they had great finishes in 2016 and 2019.
