  • I’ve been toying around with switching Dreamsequence over to Lattice (sequencing library made by much smarter people than myself) and slapped together some basic functionality today. I ran into a Problem, though: on-the-fly division (step length) changes result in the chord and seq patterns getting out of phase. I was halfway through implementing a Fix for this when I listed to what was coming out of my test patch and was like “wait a second this kinda rules?”.
When I’m working on making tools I have a hard time getting myself to slow down and set aside some time to use the tools. It’s kinda dumb because, ya know, why else am I making these tools? And I love broken stuff.
So I flipped on the camera without even changing from my go-to test patten chords (C major ii-iii-IV-V bby!) and caught a bit of me playing around with changing seq divisions and some related parameters to see how weird it can get. I think there is some opportunity to do something interesting with this but we’ll see.
Patch notes: mostly Just Friends and Disting EX. I might have had Marbles harmonizing back there (desynced) but I ain’t going back to watch the thing again to find out if that’s true.

Definitely not a bug! Sounds great.

Maybe was not a bug as of the time of recording but I've spent two days trying to get this working with no success so it's definitely a bug now! 🥲
