Her grace and technique is stunning, I practiced non stop to try and be as sharp as she was and precise. She made it look so much easier than it is. I find the singing and dancing girls are so gorgeous. In some regional movies they rarely come up with singing dancing actresses. But as we all know merely talented so much doesn't get the artists to true success. What i mean by success is that the artists should get a soulful satisfaction through their arts no matter they are greatly succesful in the movies and stage or not. If the dirty dancing actress/dancer/singer claims she doesn't like her performance, that of course means she's not getting joy from it. So i think the artists who enjoy their art and performance are the truly lucky ones.

It is devastating to hear but I think her extreme gymnastic training is what caused the pain and her hyper flexibility. It that is over indulged and you don’t have a great teacher who can train you properly it can end up in a lot of pain.
Underrated star! I would totally hate rehearsing for hours and hours in painful conditions and understood why she wanted out. Dirty Dancing is not one of my favorite movies. The cast was brilliant but the climax of the film left me feeling flat. “Staying Alive” is one of my favorites!
