One thing that bothers me is that u can get os update for 3 years. I hope they increase it in Xperia 5vi. Once again thanks for the review

I just purchased the 1V but this is amazing information especially knowing that everything seems to be working on the T-Mobile network. I'd definitely be interested to get updates on connection and other usability on the T-mobile network going forward as I may get the 1VI as the upgrade in a few years

I don't understand why Sony and others reviewers don't emphasize on the audio quality from software and features to a proper audio upgraded jack for witch there is NO real competition.The improvements of the user interface seems not only a good addition but it looks polished and nice.If the Sony VI had a 2k display it would've been the best all-round flagship on the market.Camera departament it is top as there is no real king of all in this camera format.Screen aside and price aside it has all the arguments to be an excellent device
the audio is amazing but i have tinnitus so i dont get to enjoy it as much
@@MobilePhotoObsession I do agree with Sony on the fact of not sharing the device to all important reviewers because of the "balanced" biased of protecting the great cults of Samsung and Apple.Since HTC and LG no one gave attention to the audio as Sony is doing both on wireless and wired audio.I hope and I believe that tinitus will be solvable in the near future but first there should be more peace in the world in order to reinvest in people science.
Yeah, audio jack is the main reason I'm buying this phone instead of S24 Ultra, my only gripe is the crappy full hd screen.
Sony should've made it at least uhd, 4k would've been the best.
Now I'm trying to find out how to get to the 512gb version.
@@Leve_Palestina_ From what I've read about the screen it is not bad but it does not reflect the price of the device.For example the S20 plus had a 2k screen but the S21 plus had a 1080+ but it is not a bad screen.Sony is not a market leader at least not yet and if you look at one plus 12 witch 799 and sony is 1400 there is a problem.Sony is undoubtedly the better device but the difference in price is laughable.Sony doesn't have alternative for volume sales witch are the true money makers for Samsung like a54, a7x, Fe and the S23.In my book outside the screen and the price Sony 1 VI it is in the top half of the best overall devices.

What about Wifi connectivity. Did they also improve upon. The 1 V was already an improvement of the abysmal weak wifi performance of the predecessors.
Really hope Sony improved upon. Same goes for bluetooth connectivity.
so far ive had no issues with bluetooth or wifi i only have wifi 6 though so i couldnt tell with anything higher i watch your videos alot actually haha. i was disapointed when i heard you werent getting it. when i can get out and go around some ill take more videos right now im cooped up in my house

For your cellular/data connection, do you live in a rural area? I plan to get the Xperia vi but my main concern is that I live in a relatively rural area. My current Samsung does fine in this area but it is a US model with all the cellular bands.

On sonys website it says June 06th. If they shipped a couple of days earlier it would be amazing as I'm flying to Madri on the 7th 😬

My major gribes with the phone are the aspect ratio which i use my Xperia 1V to watch movies more than TV and i really enjoyed the full screen experience it provided also watching 4k movies in a 4k display is totally different from a 1080 display or when i shoot 4k videos on the phone i can go back and watch them without any changes and the new camera UI it doesnt look like a usual Sony camera system at all and its so cluttered not like the old one everything was on point and dont need to go hundreds steps to get what you want, because by then the shot will be lost.
The old UI if i wanted to take a photo i press the shutter and am already locked in and ready to grab a shot. If i want to do a video go to video pro and do the video the way i want.
This UI reminds me of pixel or Samsung ui where everything is everywhere and one wrong more and it will change from video to photo.
I know am sounding like am rambling but those are things that i use on a regular basis on Xperia 1V.
It's a shame it's not coming to the US. I ordered it really cheaply in Germany.First through Sony with a discount but I canceled that and now with a contract where everything costs €960 (including 1vi, WH100 xm5 and the contract including connection fees)So if I sell the headphones I end up at around €700 then I sell my 1V and don't make a loss😅I'm already using the 1Vi and think Sony has done everything right. The main camera was already the best and the macro mode looks damn good Also makes a lot more sense with the manual focus and peaking function....Next time even larger sensors at 16 and 85mm plus and then there's nothing to improve for now I would say😅.....Maybe a matte display like the S24 Ultra

How's the screen brightness outdoors or in a bright setting? Is watching content enjoyable or is the screen still dim?
its very bright outdoors but just like the samsung it doesnt last very very long if you start taking alot of p hotos my s24 ultra i had wouldnt last but a couple mins before it was dim

I still love my 1 V 4k screen 21:9 cinematic screen😊🥰their camera pretty much the same except for that macro lens..
i guess the software on VI is better because the pictures also look sharper and more colourful than the V.

Can you please check if there are both video stabilization (OIS and EIS) used while recording 4k60 ? Previous Xperias had only optical OIS on and both were active until 4k30.
i think its only optical id ont see any thing in menus for both

Man... those macro shots are INSANE! Im currently using Pixel 8 Pro, Im hesitant to switch to the Xperia 1 VI, mainly because of the software (I cant complain of the Android stock). What is your experience so far with sony's Android ROM? does regular "point and shoot" photos are better or same as the Pixel?

hey bro i just got it , ihave the V and now the Vi , I can see the difference in the screen resolution , the v resolution is better but the hi is brighter , the thing that did suck is that I hsve T-Mobile and my signal only shows as LTE+ and not 5G , making my TH-cam videos and kodi and IPTV etc freeze every once in a while , so it looks like it's a good phone but idk im having second toughts due to the network only being LTE +, does yours show 5g if so what network provider?

Sony haptic system is really good actually. Still behind iPhone and Pixel but ahead of Samsung and those Chinese phones.
The headphone jack audio is terrible compared to the original 1iii. They went from musical analogue warm to thin sterile bright.
If that's what the current music listner wants pumping into their ears I am really struggling to understand it.

Is the flashlight intensity adjustable in a few steps like on Samsung phones? Or it's blasting on full power no matter what?

@@MobilePhotoObsession Ah that's a shame. It's nice to have a brighter flashlight, but in my case where my main use is going out to the toilet night, or doing stuff in a tent, it's not ideal being blinded by all this light. Quite often a more dime light would be better.
Also I wonder whether the "double tap to wake screen" feature is available again with the new screen tech? Most phones have that option, but Sonys have been missing it for years. Could you check that out please?

There are many online sales sites that ship internationally. I bought mine from a Singapore based online shopping site. They even cover the warranty. If there is a problem i ship the phone back to them and they will deal with Sony on my behalf regarding the warranty.

The 5G is what I'm worried about the most . I've been buying Sony phones since 2016 but if I ship this phone then I need it to work like any US phone on a US phone network carrier if you know what I mean . If not I'm going to retire Xperia phones and get the next Pixel so please tell me good news
I only have Tmobile and Mint mobile and it works great on both of those i cant say for other carriers i know verizon is trash and probably wont work

@@phatthesaigonese7947 very buzzy, with no quantity. Look iPhone's, Samsung's s24, OnePlus 12 haptics. These are quiet, not buzzy, tilt and very satisfying

My only issue is camera performance of 1 VI in low light. It doesn't perform as good as pther flagships especially uw and telephoto cam. Wish they improved from 12mp to 48mp sensors this year but they didn't unfortunately.
but what do you mean? because Sony is not trying to do the same night vision goggles look. Sony is specifically aiming for a natural low light look. You might find the low light pics of other flagships "impressive" but they also look fake and ....unnatural. Clearly not what your eyes are seeing. If you want pics that look like night vision goggles then its best that you get one of those phones. Sony is going for natural night shots. If you don't like that then its just not for you.
