I got to play the mod for like a week with a friend, put it down for a bit and came back and there were literally zero servers. Glad to see it's back and i'm currently redownloading it. Wish there was an actual official Clone wars game like this with PvE for lore accurate droids.
Sorry to tell you the servers are down again at the moment for an update. It shouldn't be long before they're back though hopefully.

Thinking of getting the game but how does it work is their lobbys you can randomly join or is it all set up beforehand. Is it always active or only on certain days or weekends
Its public servers that are always on (except right now because Squad just updated and the mod needs an update) and you just join from the main server list. Usually theres been 2-3 full servers every night.

How is Squad as of late? I am thinking of getting it when I can get a job; I heard the devs weren't doing too well with the base game itself, but the Galactic Contention mod makes me REALLY want this
People are pretty divided by how vanilla Squad plays since the infantry combat changes were put in. The mod is fantastic and the most grounded and cinematic way to experience Star Wars multiplayer in my opinion. If you're tight on cash at the moment, I would wait for Squad to go on sale, it does so pretty often. It isn't an easy game to run though either, if you can - try to play within the two hour refund limit just in case the experience isn't what you wanted it to be if your pc can't run it

ScattyLad is an admin on UNN servers and has the ability to change models mid match. He did it just to be funny as the game was almost over

It went down yesterday to update with Squads newest patch. When it's back it will be on the main server browser
