I remember getting Mario and Luigi for Christmas many many years ago, and I absolutely loved them. Those two, along with the Kellytoy Mario and Luigi were my first plushies of the characters, and is what kickstarted my love of collecting Mario related plushies. I actually had no idea about the open mouth Luigi until years later, but I eventually got him and the rest of the main set. My DK was originally from my older brother, but he gave it to me along with many of his other old toys that he grew out of. Unfortunately, I never got Peach or any of the other colored Yoshis, but you know, it’s never too late to change that! Still though, my original Luigi has been practically everywhere with me. I actually still bring him, Mario, and DK with me whenever I go on trips with the family. Call me childish, but to me, those guys are part of the family as well.
I'm pretty sure I had one of those Luigi keychain plush, at least I think mine was from BD&A. I got it from Best Buy in like, 1997/98, I think. That was my first piece of SMB merchandise.
I was 5 when this came out and I saw the Yoshi in a gas station and wanted it immediately. The biggest lie in my childhood was that $5 was too expensive.
I’ve only been collecting these for about 3 years. I’ve gotten what I wanted.. so I say. But you never know when you’ll wake up one morning and want to get others in the collection. 😉
Just ordered a bd&a yellow yoshi plush and when I saw it, it looked brand new there was no stains or anything and it even came tagged with no marks or anything on the tag too

Funny story. About 2 weeks ago I found a white BD&A Yoshi for $2. Wish his hang tag and in excellent condition. As reselling is my main source of income I still haven’t figured out what to price him for. I was hoping you or someone who reads this can help me with that. Thanks and very informative video btw.

There was an eBay seller back in the day for a little while who would always put up the mario sunshine mario plushies with like 10 available for 60$ of course i had to cop me one
I found my BD&A Black Yoshi for literally just $20 in a plush lot on eBay. Still in disbelief I have this guy in my collection! This history behind these guys is so interesting and unique! Its crazy how much these guys go for great video though!🔥

After looking at this video I thought why not and looked on eBay for some of these old plushies and I saw that someone was selling all 4 of the really big talking talking plushies in really good condition For $9,900.99 with free shipping
Good eye! Yeah, that is a wild listing. I definitely feel like they’re over reaching at that price. But it is the only 12” talking ones new in packaging for sale. So they do, in a sense control that market. Craziness! Thanks for watching!

I found it on the internet a while ago. It comes from a TRU weekly ad that has Yoshi’s Story on it.
