    The 2004-2006 Altima is still my favorite model year of it. The 4 cylinder engine also had a 4-speed automatic while the V6 had the 5-speed automatic with manual shift

    Saabkyle04 and Redline only cover brand new, top of the line cars.
    Keep it up! :D

    This Altima in the 2.5s trim was available with a 4 speed automatic or a 5 speed manual, the 5 speed auto is only available in the 3.5 SE, 3.5 SL and the 3.5 SE-R

    That Altima is older. Mine is a 2005 with 101k miles and it's fantastic and sounds great. This 2006 has more miles which makes it older and has these little problems but all in all its a great car and actually the best car out on the market.

    I love my car. I love the Altima so much. I remember how much I didn’t want to have a front wheel drive foreign car for my first. Now I have to say I’m very surprised with all its known for and everything about it. It’s awesome 10/10 would recommend!

    How can I make my Altima start up so fast like this Altima?, Right not it turns over for several seconds before it starts? Once started it runs great, it does have a new fuel pump, btw..

    • @tornadotayte
      @tornadotayte 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your starter could be going bad. You should also check your spark plugs

    • @Jaygorski

      @@tornadotayte Well, the engine turns over fast enough, spark plugs were changed just a few years ago, maybe 20,000 miles ago.

      @@Jaygorski mine was doing this . And I knew it wasn’t the fuel pump , so…. I changed the camshaft and crankshaft position sensors , I bought them from hitachi ( literally the brand that Nissan gets this part from ) better to buy it from hitachi not Nissan ( Nissan will rip you off )

      @@elijahjones8351 Is this something that can happen just all of the sudden, it was fine last May or June, then al of the sudden it doesn't start right off the bat. Why would I need a camshaft and the sensor?

  • @armandojuan64
    @armandojuan64 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    I have had 2 of them , 2005 and 2006 and they come with a 4 speed automatic , if you wanted the 5 speed you had to go for the SEL 3.5 V- 6 .

  • @rmhj8100
    @rmhj8100 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    They can be good cars if you take care of them. The one I had, had nothing but problems because I was the idiot that bought it without a mechanic looking at it. The previous owner half ass put the engine together and now I'm left to get it fixed.

    • @dillonh321
      @dillonh321 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's actually the last good Altima. Later years had a jatco cvt transmission that need rebuilt every 60k no matter how well you take care of them.

    • @elijahjones8351
      @elijahjones8351 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dillonh321 I can confirm this statement. My 06 Altima with 83,000 miles runs better than all of my friends altimas that are 2007+ . That CVT is made of glass LMFAO . 4 speed jatco auto is still shitty though , deff would’ve went with the 5 speed but didn’t have that option . Transmission rebuild coming soon though . I fucking love this car tbh . In my opinion if this car had a great transmission then this car would go down as one of the greats . Nissan really should’ve stayed away from JATCO but I can’t really say that bc Nissan owns JATCO LMAO

    21/27 from a fucking 4 cylinder?? are you serious? that's horrid for any 4 cylinder. PASS! still buying an 06 solara coupe 24/33 mpg

    • @3SOULENT
      @3SOULENT 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +nukka200 true, thats my only complaint on the car.
      theyre reliable, comfortable, and the design still looks good (imo)
      but that mpg is not too good, i dont know if its gearing or what, but it drinks like a 6 cyl

    • @nukka200
      @nukka200 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      3Soul ENT yeah I don't doubt it's a good car, but V6 mileage from a god damn 4 cylinder?? THAT'S JUST RETARDED! kills the car right away. same as the VW rabbit.. it's a damn compact car and gets 19/27. I was baffled. WHY IN THE HELL would you buy a small car that gets V6 mileage?!?! every other small compact car I know gets 29/40, almost double that! RIDICULOUS!

    • @nukka200
      @nukka200 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Pat Martin I dont know if I agree that it was good for the time. I'm comparing it to a solara or camry 4 cylinder OF THE SAME year. that gets 24/33. in my book if a 4 cylinder cant break 30 mpg MINIMUM on the highway, it's shit. toyota makes v6's that scratch 29 mpg almost. its 19/28. that's just unacceptable for an I4! I can only imagine what the V6 gets in this car! horrid mileage! *shutters*

    • @3SOULENT
      @3SOULENT 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** when i say it drinks like a 6 cyl, i do mean a modern 6 cyl yes. it got about the same mpg as my 2006 325i when i drove it conservatively. on fuelly dot com people are barely breaking 25 mpg. i guess I'm comparing it to cars like celicas and the 200sx. i still think its a great car to own, but theres better options out there if mpg is a concern .

    • @3SOULENT
