Chromatography is a laboratory technique for the separation of a mixture. The mixture is dissolved in a fluid called the mobile phase, which carries it through a structure holding another material called the stationary phase. The various constituents of the mixture travel at different speeds, causing them to separate. The separation is based on differential partitioning between the mobile and stationary phases. Subtle differences in a compound's partition coefficient result in differential retention on the stationary phase and thus affect the separation.
Paper chromatography is one of the types of chromatography procedures which runs on a piece of specialized paper. It is a planar chromatography system wherein a cellulose filter paper acts as a stationary phase on which the separation of compounds occurs.

There is the Correction in Retention Factor (Rf) that unit "cm" is shown in Answer. But Rf has no Unit.
Please Notice That Thing.
Thank you for the rectification...We accept that we have made mistake in it
Thanks bro
Thank you so much to explain this in very easy way.
Thank you for this ❤️
ThankYou.
Wat a voice........,tqqq so much

Well explained maam
Very well explained mam..found it really helpful..!!!
Thank you
AmZing..tq
Thnqu
Tq mam😊
Tcq so much
very useful mam excellent explanation , can u explain total chromatography unit in instrumental analysis in semester -7. it is useful for easy way to understand
This is real good video
Thank you so much
Plz help me how to prepare chemical to used chromatography technique
Tqq so much sir it's really effective by looking into pratical then byharding the end colur
Thank you
Ha jo 20 ko practical ho rha hai ignou ka
Nicely explained...
Thank you
Excellent
Dr. Sanjeev Pandey thank you
Ty for this vedeo
My pleasure
Thank you
My pleasure
Mam for me sample is not moving for long distance what may be the error
Thanks mam from Bangladesh.
Thank you
Mam go little bit slow pls.but explanation is good👍
Well in yt there is an option for playback speed for your comfort
Nice information 👍🙏
Hi
Can u please clarify regarding How to prepare unknown solution and standard solutions
Yes maam, I also have the same doubt, plzz can u explain that with another video
Nice Video
ITS RD Thank you
What is the solution used in the beaker that saturates the filter paper? You spoke a little to fast, I didn't understand.
Same mobile solution
So, in the video, was the unknown solution a combination of the two known amino acids? Is there a standard that I can use to determine what amino acid I have if I don't have pure samples to compare? Thank you!
unknown solution was a different amino acid and the standard to compare your tests with, their is a standard text or book with different rf values of amino acids in diffrent solvents
can you plz explain how can we separate amino acid from blood? plz plz plz plz
What are the amino acids in the samples? And what is the purpose of exposing the dipeptide samples to a 6N HCI solution ? Ty
sample a leucine and sample b is valine. she said but i just realised it after i i kept looking for it
i know i replied to late but it might help someone else idk
What is the solvent in capillary tube ?
@@vairamuthus7160 The thing in the capillary tube is the sample/amino acids.
Why we need to dry the paper in oven after spray it with nyhidrin?
So that colour may develop
Mam amino acid ka mixture lo and uske baad seperate krke dikhao.
Mixture ko kese seperate kare,
U dont take Samples in Beakers !
Made in hindi video please
yaman kumar sahu Iska hindi me bhi hai aur pura hannel hindi based hai
This is so wrong, a chromatographic chamber should be used a beaker has dip which means evn when covered it won't br completely closed and thus won't be saturated properly

I have two questions
1. Preparation of mobile phase and
2. Sample preparation.
Mobile preparation is not clear , as I can see very few ml of m.p, does your m.p contains water? Or discarded it?
You have dissolved amino acids in distilled water instead of m.p.
Kindly clear this.
Thank you.
