Amazing!! Feeling confident now. I could not find the lecture on static and dynamic monitoring of fluid status and hemodynamics in ICU. I really liked your MICU series. Please continue. It's nice to brush up before every ICU. Also would much appreciate a lecture on sedatives and various vent modes used in ICU.

Cardiogenic shock doesn’t cause vasodilation; hypotension in cardiogenic shock is directly secondary to decreased cardiac output.
No, don’t use vaso for cardiogenic shock. You’re just going to cause end organ ischemia…your patient doesn’t have a pipe problem, they have a pump problem. If anything they need preload for a temporary fix (think about your Frank-Starling curve), or an inotrope.
