Hitting left side is relatively easy (because the hands are similar to that of hitting the front). However, hitting the right side (of the opponent) was harder for me as you slightly twist your hand. Many videos tell us to hit 45 degrees. Would you agree?
I started Kendo 3 months ago. I am 48 years old and I love it . When doing Kirikaeshi my arms turn to Jelly.

I'm thinking off starting kendo at the end of this year or next year but I can't find any dojo around the area that I live in which is Sabah. :/
Malaysia has some dojos. But I don't know how far you are from them. You can always belong to one and when you can visit then can correct you.
