Honestly, the world may never know a masterpiece like this album for a good while. There are good videogame soundtracks and there are good cover bands, but none like Ace Combat and none like The Tiberian Sons. That combination is too perfect.
Ace Combat 6 had some of the best designed mission in the entire series in my opinion. The way you often had multiple ground operations you were supporting, and it felt like completing them helped to support the others while also building up to a central strategic goal. Amazing game design in my opinion, and kind of sad it wasn't seen in Ace Combat 7 to nearly the same degree.
2:29 You know, I always felt like the buildup should've started during a cutscene showing the full might of Emmeria and establish each operations zone before kicking it off properly about there. Having the music kick the tires and start lighting the Stovies on fire by the time Liberation of Gracemeria is in full swing. Also wish that they had the mission run all objectives, even if you 'won' after four, just to allow for the city to be utterly reclaimed.
I think they should have taken what they did for the beginning of Heavy Command Cruiser and infused it with the energy opening cutscene of ACES from 5. For the first two and a half minutes it's just slow buildup. Flying to the objective. As you approach the city your wingmates from the other squadrons from the Gracemeria Air Wing chime in with their iconic banter, but as you get closer to the city more and more start appearing until your air wing is looking more like an air division. And then at 2:25 your radar appears, the targets show up on screen. With the approach timed so the first missiles impact and bombs connect just as 3:00 drops. Like so many parts of 6(and 7) it was good, but it was robbed of the opportunity to be _great_ by rushed development. I think the Pasternak fight is another example of this, they didn't really know how to end the mission smoothly, so in reality the dogfight is just a clever way to reset the NPCs and set up the mission for the final cutscene if you think about it from a mission structuring perspective. I think it would have been cool if we just got a reverse of Invasion of Gracemeria where all the planes line up on the taxiway and reclaim their hangars while the battle rages on miles away. I get why the dogfight had to happen but it's just frustrating and mediocre... it feels like a foreshadowing of things to come, with AC7's laughably easy boss battles where the only challenge is unfair spam.(not to mention the game that shall not be named) It's really too bad because the unnamed Strigon members are actually really interesting and challenging to take on in the earlier missions, so idk why the boss of the Strigons himself is so mid...
AC6 was my first AC (shameful I know..) so this track holds a special place in my heart. Even though objectively tracks like Zero could be deemed better, this one just... hits different. It captured so perfectly the struggle towards Gracemeria and the glory of retaking your home. The Tiberian Sons have managed to take this and elevate it to new heights.. They really deserve far more recognition than they get and I hope they blow up big time, because I'm looking forward to seeing great things from them!
@@KUNAIfeverthe AI is very capable, your wingman can hold his own against another plane and the joint attack is so much fun if the targets are close enough to Tanks/Bomber/Helicopter/Fleet. And the comms are peak in any ace combat, feeling of having whole squadrons are the best rather than being single plane or just a Squadron
Liberation of Gracemeria is TOP dogfight music. From the intro buildup to the mission core motif to the riffs between song parts, and your cover just gives mad respect to that!
The only Ace Combat I haven't played, but this track has a special place in my heart since I saw the trailer back in 2007.. Gives you a sense of patriotism..
Oh yeah it’s time to dance with the angels once again! Also that was perfect timing with Ghost Eye saying “All planes commence with mission. We’re gonna take back Gracemeria today!” at 2:25
This is amazing! The original soundtrack was already one of the best soundtrack in the Ace Combat series and this cover just made it even better! Keep up the great job, Tiberian Sons!
heard the original today and it doesn't hold a candle to this. honestly, if i ever get to play AC6 i'll probably mod it specifically to replace the original with this version.

Totally agree. Whatever Tiberian Sons remake is epic. Can't wait for next albums!💪
Command and Conquer and Ace Combat share a similar energy.
Imagine a combined game, with both those franchises
@@nicoferguson1215Either an Ace Combat RTS game or a C&C flight game would be awesome
It's criminal how few views these videos have and the number of subs to the channel.

nah AC6 is still peak gameplay if you skip the cutscene story, atleast you didnt start with Joint Assault(like me)
Least it wasn't assault horizon... God that gameplay looks aweful

What happened to the speechless version?
Why do I get the feeling this cover should be in C&C?

Amazing song and cover!
The voice over at the beginning is some of the worst voice acting that I have ever heard 😂. It's so tone deaf.
