I went to bonnaroo in 2011 and saw this show...it was life changing he came out to start his set at 2:30am and was supposed to end at 4:30am but he kept going hard until after 6am and says"I wish I could play until fucking lunch time but they are telling me ive go to stop" and the sun was coming up I had never heard of this dude before then now ive had my face melted in 4 different states

I was working with Clean Vibes and just got off duty . Heading to his set someone ran up and hooked me up with Molly's number. I'm telling you walking up to the stage feeling the base was a out of this world . This exact set changed my fucking life, I've never felt more in tune with every single person in my life, this defines my metamorphoses

2001-13 was EDM mecca! I dont think we will ever see anything like it again, I'm just proud to say I was balls deep in the scene the entire time, in those 3 years I probably went to 70-80 shows!

I was there too! Lots of folks no longer in the scene, many aren't alive. Many got jobs, had kids and it just doesn't fit anymore. But what a ride it was. I'll carry the torch as long as I can, and not a moment longer.

Between 2010-2015 pretty lights put on what I still consider to be the best concerts I’ve seen in my life. This video for me is a glimpse in to all that magic...
100% agree, the 2010-2012 were my absolute favorites though, back then you could see what are huge names opening for what are still huge names now...insane, I think I caught a show it might have been PL where the openers were Excision and Big G....man oh man
Yep. I've been to countless shows and I consider the bass lights concerts in Virginia the best I've ever been to.
Yeah man, if you had the privilege to see PL between that era, it was a life changing experience for sure. Every year, the stage production and evolution of his live performance shifted so drastically. Thank you, Derek Vincent Smith for the memories and solidifying yourself as a legend of a generation who followed the light we needed during such times.

Opening for STS9Red Rocks 2008 was my first Glimpse of PL. I'll never forget that moment being at the Top of Red Rocks looking down at all the my beautiful Fam raging there's faces off in the rain.

Man, I feel like anymore they don't let artists play as long as he did. Even EF had shows going until 6am, and close to 2am before they would shut the forest down. The best and worst feeling is when the show is over and the sun is almost up and you realize how wild your night was, the sad part is that...well it's over.

I remember when i was almost completely oblivious to electronic music and the only electronic artists I knew were Skrillex and deadmau5... then i saw Pretty Lights at All Good a year ago and the first thing I said when he stopped was "Holy shit that made skrillex sound like shit" and pretty lights has been my favorite artist ever since...

I appreciate your response. I'm in my mid to late 20's now, so maybe I'm old. I've been a professional musician for 10 years now. I play bass and drums and have toured the country without ever having to work a real job. I also DJ on off nights, and I actually do play a lot of Daft Punk, but some of the new stuff, like this and Skrillex still just sound like noise to me. I guess I'm old school and just like to see a drum kit and a bass guitar up there to go with the beats. Anyway, music changes.
