Many overseas countries have things to bump your head on. You need to watch for trip hazards and doggy mines. Don't randomly touch electrical objects in public to prevent electrocution. You are responsible for your own safety without places having liability insurance to cover any medical bill. Be smart and stay safe when traveling.
Good one, honey child. You are right!! Absolutely a beautiful place to visit and live. Not just the women, but the scenery and the humble attitudes. Love the P.I.! The Rabbit buses from years ago were a real exciting way to see the country. Used to love riding one from Clark A.B. to Subic Bay/Olongapo. Fond memories.
I've been up and down Luzon on the various bus companies. It's a cheap and reasonable way to travel. Fortunately I've always had Mrs. Rick with me to get us thru the ins and outs of the terminals and random roadside bus stops.

You are the eternal optimist. Sidewalks blocked with scooters, uncovered broken concrete over drains, airport female security guards who grope men who have already removed their belts due to over sensitive metal detectors. Overpriced trikes with high foreigner rates, twice the price of the locals price, 'wait a while' means wait 20 minutes at least. I really love the madness 😂
Don’t forget the four-lane highway when you drive across the provinces, you’ll find farmers drying rice in the right lane ,trucks or cars just randomly parked in the right lane dog sleeping in the right lane. So essentially think of it as a two-lane road.😅
Your country and mine (Argentina, south america) are so similar in that strange things and chaotic way, that really surprised me. And the irony you use to describe things and trying to explain what has no logical explanation, and being sad things you can find the humorous side on that is also similar.
I will mention and inquire about the "enter" and "exit" doors. Was that something that came about as a result of the pandemic or did security always make sure you don't walk into the exit door and vice versa.

Hi Rubeauti! Today you reminded me of my late wife trying to explain why things were a certain way in there. Eventually I learned to be chill and tell myself quietly “Only in the Philippines.”
Jobs...those bridges feed the families of the works....the planning however is the proof the education system is top notch....oh my beloved future..phillipines...
Very funny. As an engineer in America, I fully appreciate the lengths we go to so the design meets American standards. Sometimes frustrating here, but you clearly illustrated the value. Thank you. I love your videos, you are awesome. Please keep them coming.
The ramps, sidewalks and bridges are like that because there are no engineers with specs and govt standards to build them. Hey why pay an engineer when you can get bob, the local guy without a job to do it for a meal.
That's not true. There are engineers. The way Philippine politics works is that some crooked contractor that is connected to the government gets paid for the job without meeting any standards. So Filipino people definitely get taxed for what it would cost to hire engineers and moreso! Or sometimes it is the government official who cuts the money himself. Filipinos in general will go on and praise their favourite politician even though his office is full of corruption, which is why corruption doesn't get solved. You have to not treat your politicians like Gods and instead like public servants if you want to start removing corruption.
There's an old saying, "Women are like buses. If you don't catch the one you want, another one will come along soon enough" I guess in the Phils that saying goes, "Buses are like women. You ain't gonna catch the one you want. And maybe not the next one either. So just walk."
Rubi, so sidewalk obstacles are there to keep us alert and awake. Got it! I made a note to remember. Of course with all these cute sexy young Philippina ladies walking around in their thin and small summer dresses, I am by default going to be very alert, very awake with my eyes wide open. Cool thing to make a video of these little Philippines imperfections to show a big contrast because we all know that here in The US EVERYTHING IS PERFECT. Rubi for 5 years I worked in a 56 story, beautiful marble and glass building in down town Dallas, building cost Hundreds of Millions of Dollars and was filled with the most influential law offices and Real Estate firms. In the lobby, on the first floor there was the beautiful security desk. On Saturdays when it was not busy they only had one security officer, the kind man was up in age and needed (I guess) his afternoon nap. The procedure that we used as we walked in the building was to gently wake him up, remind him that he was supposed to check us for guns and than tell him to not worry, we already checked ourselves for guns on our bodies so he could go back to sleep. True story Rubi! Everything fine there. Your videos are meant to point out contrast and I get that but I think we have more in common than items that separate us. I do remember one time a while ago I was watching this Philippines video, done by this gorgeous beautiful Philippina, I think her name is Rubeati or something. Filmed in her apartment and she had this really cool neon sign that said "Hello". The neon sign was so cool that in future comment sections I kept on asking her to bring the neon sign back in her videos but it was never to happen again, a one time thing, I guess. Take care Rubi
Hey “Rare Beauty “/ Rubeati thank you for the insightful witty content and commentary. Any expat leaving because of these things should never have come in the first place. Maraming Salamat
While th we security guards in supper market were different. It wasn't as surprising as security guards with shot guns out in front of a bank and a second security guard inside with a 45 on his hip opening the door. But you are right they give you a sense of safety.
I get tired of being over charged, nearly every time I buy banana cue I get charged double, when I buy mango shake they put half the amount mango and extra ice, that's before even thinking about taxi drivers
Sorry about that comment my phone messed up that was a great video I love your choice of words to explain things very witty thank you miss rubeauti🙏💋❤😍
Speaking only for myself, I’ve come to understand that due to my Australian upbringing and life experience, I enjoy travel in Asia - but only in smaller bites of several weeks. I love the Philippines but it’s too much for me after a couple of weeks. The provinces are better though
As this video is talking about expat, i have a serious question for you Rubeauti: All poeple can see the growing "Tension" between China and USA, and we could worry about where it is leading to. As a close ally of USA (with many US military troops in the country), Filipine will be in the front line if there is a kind of war between USA and China. Do you feel that this perspective is worrying Expats or impact the flow of expats in your country.
remember security is there to protect the establishment not the public. it cracks me up when i go the bank and they have two guys inside holding the door shut and two outside. i laugh every time. and whats with the shotguns.. are they even loaded. if so, with what? they look like antiques
You could do another video like this with how the roads are built. One cement panel at a time by hand and the panels don't match in angle or height so the roads are duper bumpy. Google trees in middle of road Philippines. So funny because the roads widening program is succeeded by can't cut trees down so the tree is in the middle if the lane. Not kidding
@@SlimjimMK11 we have those types of pedestrian bridges here, and they make them high to allow safe passage of trucks hauling large things like lumber, farming equipment, mobile homes, even military equipment.
@@DJRavenwolf But here in the Philippines, the POWER LINES are less than half the height of those bridges.. AND they cross the roads so that height is just crazy.. JUST ONE of the stupid things you will discover if you live or come here..
Considering the high foot bridges and you say why not and it’s an adventure. I bet your views will change greatly when you get into your 60’s. Your view will be “what crazy person designed this” lol 😂
@1Rubeauti it was not my intent to win but to show that every situation usually has two outlooks on it. ❤️ Also to look at it logically, it is extra materials and extra man hours to build these over sized structures. the cost savings could be used to repair sidewalks and roads possibly
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Some of these thing Ive experience. Though still a beautiful country. All countries have flaws. But the filipino spirit is the most resilient. 👍🏾👍🏾
Security guards at stores aren't there to protect the patrons, they're there to protect the products 🤣 So what you're saying is the buses run on Filipino time.
Foot bridges? If I can get up there no big deal. I used to build powerlinres in America, I have worked hours in a crane 57 meters high. So, I won't be scared
@@Rubeauti well, I'm planning to live in the Province. I have balance issues now, but I wouldn't be afraid. My fiancé was shocked at my attitude, the day I arrived the first time in the Philippines, a typhoon hit, and I went outside and filmed the storm blowing the trees with my phone camera😁
The services don't add up to the prices. Makati cost of living is same as United States with less services. Also very dangerous like south Chicago 😆 👌As far as getting around just call for joyride or angkas 👌Tara na Vietnam baba'e 😆
Thanks! Keep your content coming Rube'

😂 I love your sense of humour, great video
Sorry about that comment my phone messed up that was a great video I love your choice of words to explain things very witty thank you miss rubeauti🙏💋❤😍
Always I really look forward to watching you I love your channel (and your gorgeous also 😍)
Great video !!!
Speaking only for myself, I’ve come to understand that due to my Australian upbringing and life experience, I enjoy travel in Asia - but only in smaller bites of several weeks. I love the Philippines but it’s too much for me after a couple of weeks. The provinces are better though
RuBeauti, what a gorgeous woman!❤️❤️
such a clever, funny and pretty girl 😊
I totally agree 😊
As this video is talking about expat, i have a serious question for you Rubeauti: All poeple can see the growing "Tension" between China and USA, and we could worry about where it is leading to. As a close ally of USA (with many US military troops in the country), Filipine will be in the front line if there is a kind of war between USA and China. Do you feel that this perspective is worrying Expats or impact the flow of expats in your country.
Another great vlog
remember security is there to protect the establishment not the public. it cracks me up when i go the bank and they have two guys inside holding the door shut and two outside. i laugh every time. and whats with the shotguns.. are they even loaded. if so, with what? they look like antiques
Not kidding
They are so high because it allows big trucks to go under them without crashing
They DON'T MAKE trucks that high,,
Some are 3 or 4 stories high..
@@SlimjimMK11 we have those types of pedestrian bridges here, and they make them high to allow safe passage of trucks hauling large things like lumber, farming equipment, mobile homes, even military equipment.
@@Rubeauti yes, true I saw the picture of the metal bridge. We have those here in the states too
@@DJRavenwolf
But here in the Philippines, the POWER LINES are less than half the height of those bridges.. AND they cross the roads so that height is just crazy..
JUST ONE of the stupid things you will discover if you live or come here..
Hmmm.... A bit of sarcasm and irony. Not so common in Asian cultures, but very refreshing 😀
I will start working out immediately! 😂 Be over in September!
I enjoy all of your videos
Thanks for covering this subject. You are very beautiful. 😁🤩
I enjoy your videos, ingat ka palagi
Considering the high foot bridges and you say why not and it’s an adventure. I bet your views will change greatly when you get into your 60’s. Your view will be “what crazy person designed this” lol 😂
@1Rubeauti it was not my intent to win but to show that every situation usually has two outlooks on it. ❤️
Also to look at it logically, it is extra materials and extra man hours to build these over sized structures. the cost savings could be used to repair sidewalks and roads possibly
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Some of these thing Ive experience.
Though still a beautiful country. All countries have flaws. But the filipino spirit is the most resilient. 👍🏾👍🏾
@1Rubeauti .....😒yeah. Im good.
Security guards at stores aren't there to protect the patrons, they're there to protect the products 🤣 So what you're saying is the buses run on Filipino time.
Fire truck siren's that are out of tune, I like it,makes me smile 🎉
Great video, love ur humour lol
Liked this one. Good job.
Ms. Rubeauti, the Beautiful:
Tks. much.
Those ramps are hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣
Great and interesting video
BIR FORM No. 2118-EA😵💫 My current nightmare. Even the constitutions and laws are a contradiction.
@@Rubeauti You already got too many other comments to read and reply to. You never come back anyway.😏
Those ramps look like they are for stake boards
As long as the Philippine people keep defending the inefficiencies of the Philippine Gov’t. The Gov’t will have no reason to improve.
The services don't add up to the prices. Makati cost of living is same as United States with less services. Also very dangerous like south Chicago 😆 👌As far as getting around just call for joyride or angkas 👌Tara na Vietnam baba'e 😆
