I am humbled to have lived and evolved in Maponga's era. I was one oh the flower girls in his wedding when he wed laGoje, he buried my mother, baptised me etc. I am now a 38 year old lady and when he resurfaced with African spirituality I started questioning and wanting to know more. I've recently stopped being an adventist and learning more about African spirituality whilst learning my roots.

I’m also born&bred SDA. My dad was a mfundisi even. I’m 38 years old now… i attended Camp so i can listen to mfundisi Maponga! Haibo… I left the SDA church in 2016 and i discovered who I am. African spirituality changed my life.

I left SDA too years back. Raised by 2 church elders.
My parents always spoke so badly about Mr Maphonga but I couldn’t help but want to hear him out.
Only to find out I absolutely love his mind 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

@@evelyn_rampolaYes sis..the truth is that as an African nation, we've lost our culture hence we are suffering from generational curses. We need conversations like this to be reminded of who we are. Understanding of self will give us a direction that we need to take in order break these curses that we are suffering from, and regain all the blessings we lost.

The part about ukuthwasa being mostly an identity issue is very true. I am living proof of that- I was even psychotic because i lacked identity and many made me believe that i must thwasa but my mother refused to let me and so I went through the process of finding my ancestors from my mothers side and fathers side- today i am well and fine. Head this warning- find your totems first before you pay for ukuthwasa.

Whoever you’re, don’t forget that, there is a time and place for everything under the stars moon and the sun
Of course the scheme of things, definitely has been stratified by the enemies to keep blacks disorganized, so yes these brothers were at one point, unable to agree, but at least, they’re now seeing one another, regardless of border lines, but blood line, this is exactly how and where the colonizers, wishes for blacks to be at for the rest of our lives, so let’s get back to bloodline, and reject border lines, one Africa at home and abroad
It’s like almost every one else, is against the blacks, but the blacks is against one another, where is our sense of history? Our sense of smelling the blood of our brothers and sisters? Awoke, liberate ourselves from the mental state of mind, of being what they expect us to be, no one can trivialized you or myself, but ourselves, blood line, over border make belief of better than, and lesser than

How can our spiritual practices and beliefs support our progress and empowerment in this areas?.
