I highly recommend getting this drill if you haven’t purchased already! The one from my video broke 😢💔 and yesssss Queen! It makes life so much more convenient when you can give yourself EXACTLY what you want! Electric Nail Drill Cadrim Nail... www.amazon.com/dp/B01MAU2E9K?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
There are several ideas for lessening nail fungus Soak your nails in a solution containing apple cider Apply natural oils such as red rosemary, clove oil and epsom salts these have antibiotic and antifungal properties Further ideas you can try are pepper, coconut oil. (I read these and the reasons they work on Sebs Stopper Secret site )
I can’t thank you enough for this video. I’m trying so hard to get my inventory up but the prices are crazy! I can’t wait to try this, it will help soo much.!💜💅🏼
I use the soft pastels from amazon too! Not the chalk by crayola or whatever you had the picture of! Also if you ever have issues with the sanding band try a medium or fine carbide bit so you don’t get any flakes that come off from the sanding band! Also I find the white soft pastels work better than adding the mia secret white acrylic powder. It doesn’t marble like it might with the white acrylic. So i mix up different colors and if i’m making a pastel shade I shave a bit of the white soft pastel and it lightens it better! This soft pastel method works much better than buying loose pigments and mixing them with acrylic because sometimes they marble and the consistency is not the best. Anyways, just some tips but great video! I have so much fun doing this too lol
Hi love! New friend and subscriber to your channel. I usually do beauty subscription box openings over on my channel but I’m ready for a change and learn to do nails so I’ve been learning soooo much from watching your videos and other creative nail designers videos. Thank you sooo for this video and the other awesome videos you have made sweetie and I hope we can connect and that I see you my way sometime, I love making new friends here on TH-cam. Sending love and hugs from eastern Kentucky 💕💅🏻
I really adore this idea! Im a beginner at acrylics but I dont want to spend a lot of money to buy different colors and I have a lot of white acrylic powder so I definitely am gonna try this! Also is it safe to use on your nail?
So glad you enjoyed the video love! It’s definitely saved me a ton, and I can create whatever color I need! As long as you’re using non toxic and skin safe products it SHOULD be safe, but as stated, ALWAYS TEST A SMALL AREA FIRST! Better to be safe than sorry🤞🏼💖
Hi I’m soooo excited to try this😩actually teaching myself to do acrylic nails and diy colored acrylics is in expensive for me to play around till I get the hang of it
New subscriber here! I just can't believe how fast the mia secret products on amazon goes out of stock. And how much they are raising the prices. Its crazy! I'm getting some pigments on aliexpress and I'm going to give this a try. Your nails look amazing.
It really depends on what kind of pigment you are using and how much coverage it has. If it’s not pigmented enough, it may come out more opaque looking. Play around with it, and if it’s too opaque or too dark, you can add a little white until you are happy with the color🙏🏼
It sounds like you’re not using enough acrylic powder! Try adding a bit more and see if that helps. If not, try grinding your powder a little longer!🙌🏼💖
Hey love, to prep my nails for acrylic I 1. Start off with clean cut nails 2. Push back my cuticles 3. Buff around my cuticles and cleaning up around cuticle area (removing excess cuticle if needed) 4. Buff rest of nail 5. Apply dehydrator 6. Apply 2x coats of bonding liquid Hope this helps🤞🏼💖
Try running your mix through an un used coffee grinder. I use the mortar and pestle then a manual coffee grinder. No more pigment chunks. Also be it’s you cap these colors with clear because the chalk takes away from the strength.
This video is so so helpful,i mean not only u can do pastel acrylics but u can add few hexagon glitters and grinde glitters. Im so excited to text these babies out , i will definitely going to tag u in my insta pic!!!
Can’t wait to see what you create!!😍 Make sure you check out my mixing glitter with acrylic video for some inspo🙏🏼💖 th-cam.com/video/L53y4lEn4IA/w-d-xo.html
You can add either or. But if you only add clear then the look will be more transparent and can be cute if thats what you're going for, and if you only add white then the color will be more opaque and lighter colored if thats what you're going for. Its very customizable .And you can add both to get the perfect color not to light and not to translucent. Hope this helped.
Did you add white acrylic/pigment? If you only add pigment, you’ll get a transparent look. If you want a more opaque look, you’ll need to add in some white or try a more pigmented color🤞🏼
This little bit lasts me a couple sets. If you’re looking for a one time use, then eyeball the measurements out to 1 part pigment and 2 parts acrylic depending on how much you need for your set in mind🙏🏼💖
Not at all hun! If anything, just be careful to not submerge your entire drill and always make sure to dust it off after every use so powder doesn't get clogged. So far so good over here!
Mine last me 3-4 weeks but I HIGHLY suggest lying down a layer of clear or pink acrylic before you apply your color acrylic (this helps to stick for longer and avoids discoloring your nails)
You don't have to use my exact products hun, they're just an affordable example! You can use whatever favorite acrylic/chalk you'd like or that is available to you! I'm from the U.S, so unfortunately, I don't have much leads for you. I will , however, try to look up some useful alternatives for future videos! I'm really sorry for the inconvenience and hope this helps🙏🏻💛
It makes it a lot easier but you definitely don’t have to. You can use a nail file, but it will take some time👀. I’ve also heard some people use a blender, so whatever works for you!🙏🏼
I tried it but won’t work for me 😭 , I have little specks of chalk still when I swatch it doesn’t fully mix , idk how to make it work I’ve tried a lot of things
Are you using a mortar and pestle? Keep in mind, it does take a few minutes of crushing and grinding it down to get it just right, and any small specks that I do get, I just brush out with my brush and a little monomer🤞🏼💖

Hi I’m soooo excited to try this😩actually teaching myself to do acrylic nails and diy colored acrylics is in expensive for me to play around till I get the hang of it
Yes girl! Acrylics can be so pricey, so this is perfect if you’re just starting out and want to play around with some colors💖
Can you use this with the top coat and base coat as well as the activator, for powder dip nails?
New subscriber here! I just can't believe how fast the mia secret products on amazon goes out of stock. And how much they are raising the prices. Its crazy! I'm getting some pigments on aliexpress and I'm going to give this a try. Your nails look amazing.
I’m telling you girl, it’s CRAZY! But I hope this hack works for you love, thank you so much for the support 💖🙏🏼
Sameeee
I use those same containers I❤️❤️ the video
I love the colors...😍
I seen ppl use a tabacco grinder does thw work as well as that bowl u r using?
I haven’t tried that!😱 I wonder if it would leave chunky clumps behind though?
hey if i just used clear acrylic with it would it give off a clear look or would it be completely opaque?
It really depends on what kind of pigment you are using and how much coverage it has. If it’s not pigmented enough, it may come out more opaque looking. Play around with it, and if it’s too opaque or too dark, you can add a little white until you are happy with the color🙏🏼
Oo now I can try this
How do u get the nude cover colors pls
When i do this , the powder comes out somewhat lumpy on the nail even tho i mix it a lot how do i get rid of that ?
It sounds like you’re not using enough acrylic powder! Try adding a bit more and see if that helps. If not, try grinding your powder a little longer!🙌🏼💖
hey i just wanted to know where you got the containers
she said dollar tree
I have that same chalk and I learn from Kristina kouture thanks for showing us
Oh yeah, I’ve seen her cornstarch and baby powder nails, super creative!!😍💖
Girl same I'm going to be making my own aryclic powder in a couple days
Omg thank u for this this is amzing 🙌❤❤
Glad you enjoyed💖🤞🏼
Can we use this on our clients ?
I would think so as long as it isn’t toxic
Hey boo what was the process to prep the nails before you applied the acrylic?
Hey love, to prep my nails for acrylic I
1. Start off with clean cut nails
2. Push back my cuticles
3. Buff around my cuticles and cleaning up around cuticle area (removing excess cuticle if needed)
4. Buff rest of nail
5. Apply dehydrator
6. Apply 2x coats of bonding liquid
Hope this helps🤞🏼💖
Sabrina Norwood yesss thank you!!💞
Try running your mix through an un used coffee grinder. I use the mortar and pestle then a manual coffee grinder. No more pigment chunks. Also be it’s you cap these colors with clear because the chalk takes away from the strength.

Can we use the Mia secret white powder to do this too?
Yes love! It will give you more of a pastel look though (white lightens color)
does the acrylic powder dry slower when applied?
It does slightly depending on how much pigment you use
I had a question, could we mix glitter with it as well to get glitter acrylic?
Absolutely love! I have another video on mixing glitter into acrylic💖 th-cam.com/video/L53y4lEn4IA/w-d-xo.html
Sabrina Norwood alright thank you so much 💕
Does this work as a dip powder ? Instead of applying with the acrylic liquid?
Yes
Newww subscribe and girlll that purple isss 😍😍 & this was so helpful
Thanks for the support love, so glad you enjoyed!💖😁
Your voice is so pretty omg
Thank you love💖🥺
How many oz was the acrylic jar. Thank you in advance
Containers hold roughly 2.3 fl oz
How long do they last with the chalk ?
I have kept my nails on for about 3-4 weeks depending on how rough I am with my hands
hi. does this work with polygel too?
Yes! You just have to mix it in and make sure it’s blended really well🙏🏼💖
i love your intro 😍
Thanks love!💖
do you have to add in both the clear acrylic powder AND the white acrylic powder?
You can add either or. But if you only add clear then the look will be more transparent and can be cute if thats what you're going for, and if you only add white then the color will be more opaque and lighter colored if thats what you're going for. Its very customizable .And you can add both to get the perfect color not to light and not to translucent. Hope this helped.
How long does it last?
Depending on how well you measure & mix your product/how hard you are on your nails....I've had mine last for 3-4 weeks
So is the white acrylic optional
Yes
Okay so i made a blue one of my own and its coming out really sheer, what did i do wrong
Its perfect on swatches on paper towel but not on swatched nails
Did you add white acrylic/pigment? If you only add pigment, you’ll get a transparent look. If you want a more opaque look, you’ll need to add in some white or try a more pigmented color🤞🏼
How much do you need to make for a full set of long nails?
This little bit lasts me a couple sets. If you’re looking for a one time use, then eyeball the measurements out to 1 part pigment and 2 parts acrylic depending on how much you need for your set in mind🙏🏼💖
Does this break your drill, I really want to do it but I’m scared my drill will break x
Not at all hun! If anything, just be careful to not submerge your entire drill and always make sure to dust it off after every use so powder doesn't get clogged. So far so good over here!

do you have to use an e file?
It makes it a lot easier but you definitely don’t have to. You can use a nail file, but it will take some time👀. I’ve also heard some people use a blender, so whatever works for you!🙏🏼
You can use a cheap nail file that's like 3$ for natural nails or a small blender
Try using a stocking foot to sieve it. I see some1 else on TH-cam do it to remove clumps
This is such a great idea, I’ll definitely have to try it out♥️

Ziara Colleen Acsayan work with small amount of product at a time🤞🏼
Couldn’t you just use a part white chalk to lighten the color?
You absolutely can as stated in the previous comments🙏🏼💖 but I personally like using the white acrylic. It saves time on filing down another pigment and there’s no extra work to make sure it’s really finely ground
Do you use these on clients and when you remove with acetone is tacky like normal or is it sticky and gooey. Also love your videos ❤️❤️
Thank you so much for the support love! I’m actually not a professional nail tech, I only practice doing my own at the moment🙏🏼 And when removing with acetone it comes off like a normal tacky. As long as you do 1 part pigment and 2 parts acrylic, you shouldn’t have an issue💖
Hey so am I able to actually use this on clients, do it make the nails lift or anything?
Naw u can
Can’t you mix clear acrylic and white chalk?
You absolutely can! I’m just lazy😜
Is it safe to use professionally though?
It’s absolutely safe AS LONG AS YOURE USING NON TOXIC PIGMENTS, but as stated always test a small area to make sure it’s safe for your client. I never recommend using anything on your clients that you wouldn’t use on yourself, but use your best judgment🙏🏼💖
As a qualified tech I don’t think I’ll try do they even last or even have strength
Hey Hun,
If you are a tech you should definitely be using product you know works well with YOUR clients. This is just a DIY/AT HOME colored acrylic hack-for personal use. This wasn't intended to be for professional use as stated in the video. HOWEVER, that being said, depending on how much acrylic you are mixing with the pigment, in my opinion, it last just as long as my other store-bought colored acrylics and even has the same strength. You have to remember, you are only adding in 1 part pigment (color) and the rest is your base acrylic (white/clear) so the majority of your mix is still going to be acrylic. Depending how you measure it, you should come out with a sturdy nail. The only downsides I have noticed about using this hack is that if you don't grind that pigments down enough, you will end up with tiny balls of pigment in your nails. And, the more pigment you add into your mix, the longer it takes to dry, so measuring is definitely key! Hope this helps❤️ 🙏🏻
This is amazing my only comment would be is you don’t have to use so much of the chalk, a little bit of pigment goes a long way
I was having the issue where my colors were coming out a little too transparent for my liking. This method helps me to make sure it’s going to be opaque enough, but it’s all in preference!🙏🏼💖
Tried this before it takes forever
So true.....but my broke a** don’t even care because of how affordable it is😩🤞🏼 it’s easier when you work with smaller amounts of product at a time. It helps to take time off of grinding and making sure there’s no chunks left. I’ve also heard you can use a small blender/spice blender to help grind it all up👀
