In the story written by JokuBlogs, Nightmare is described as a parasite. Theoretically speaking this parasite is corrupted and possibly inhabited the black apple that was formed by Passive’s touch. While Dream and Passive are siblings (twins), present Dream and Corrupted are no longer siblings as Corrupted is said parasite. Passive’s destiny was never really stated to be the eating of the black apple but it is mentioned that DreamTale is in a constant loop. The process of corruption following after the consumption of the apple was rather not a result of possession by I believe it was a result of Nightmare’s already heavy negativity combining with the apple’s negativity. In the original story, golden apples make the villagers feel happy because the apples contain positive feelings, alluding that the black apples are the same but with a different effect. Even though she suspected that this would turn out badly (because of that voice), she had no other choice. Nightmare is not the corrupted one's real name, he uses it to bring back bad memories to Dream. Corrupted has memories of Nightmare's past before the incident, as well as the memories of two more important people for Dreamtail (it is not said who specifically, but most likely the one who killed Nim and Nim herself). Also, Nightmare C is the embodiment of EVERYTHING negative.
