That Shabat is definitely a beauty and I guess it feels amazing. The best HSSs (actually the best strats) I put my hands on are the customs from Real Guitars in Leverkusen. Maybe you'll get to try one.

What are you thoughts on the basic feel and playability between these 2 guitars?
For me the shabat won by a mile! 1. colour 2. awesome headstock design 3. It has the frickin top jack! Not because it’s "traditional" or some bullshit, but because the stupid cable doesnt stick out so much.
Also I like the sound a bit more .. even though both sound great!
It would be interesting to see what you think of the Michael Kelly 67 series. Hss, Duncan pickups, stacked noiseless single coils, Epic 11 wiring, roasted maple neck, locking tuners, 2 point trem, flamed maple top and less than $900 American! Think about it...
Honestly, Henning, I would be extremely happy to own either. Push/push is vastly superior to push/pull and I always want that if it's an option. I much prefer knobs on Shecter since I hate strat volume knob being so close to the bridge pickup, it gets in the way for me but that's probably personal, the output jack location makes no difference to me, neck wood also as long as it's stable and doesn't move too much. They sound different but both are statisfying to the ear. As for relicing I'm indifferent but if relicing costs extra, I'll relic it myself by playing the bajeezus out of it 😎🤘Oh and spokewheel really is the way to do it

I own a Schecter custom shop HSS strat, this almost makes me wish I had the new NJ HSS strat...
Not like I have the money though, and I love mine, but dang is it good, when I was on the lookout for my one main guitar for everything, I was already loving the NJ strat they had in the store, that neck is just... so bloody good
I got two of them, a one off SSS in black and a one off HSS in fiesta red. They are remarkable to play

Mine is a frost blue custom one with black hardware and black aluminium scratchplate, with the superrock pickups (they brought a few different ones along with Nick Johnston performing)
The Schecter sounds more like a Fender than the Shabat. But I prefer the Shabat.
I have two Nick Johnston Custom Shops in HSS and SSS. They have the best build quality Bar none. I've played a lot of great guitars. but this one take it. Pickups are perfectly balanced.
Played some of the regular USA NJ (those non nitro lacquered) and yeah, gotta say they were the best modern take on a Strat I've played in a long time. Sounded really balanced, not as raw as a Stratocaster, but had their own personality and played effortlessly

I'm exactly the opposite when it comes to the output jack! I hate smacking a jack plug that's sticking out of the bottom of the guitar body! I have Right angle guitar plugs just in case I have to play a guitar with the side mount jack! HATE side mount jacks, blew up a guitar with one when hitting the jack plug, ughhhhh!!!
