As someone who lives in Jasper, Alberta. I would NOT recommend it to those who’ve never lived in a small town or not used to rural life. The closest town to Jasper is 1 hour away driving, the winters are harsh, and if you don’t enjoy being outside, you’ll be quite bored here. But yea I love it here lol
Alberta is beautiful. How practical is it to choose jasper or banff to live as a new immigrant? Do jasper have enough work opportunities ? I don't mind harsh weather. I want to live in a small, peaceful town far away from the hustle bustle of big cities.
I fi d people who scream racism are often very racist themselves. Anytime this person doesn't get what they want or if someone doesn't like them they scream racism. When in fact they just make no attempt to amalgamate into the community and demand their new country become a mini version of their birthplace. I'm not saying racism doesn't exist, I'm saying it's used as an excuse for not doing your own part to become e canadian.
Lots of beautiful places indeed. Just to help you find the right city in Québec (we DO speak in English by the way) : it’s name Saint-Sauveur not Saint-Saveur. I would also recommand the region of Charlevoix (Baie St-Paul, Ste-Irénée, etc.) which is lovely and close to Quebec city.
Hi Sophie, I find quebec very fascinating and mesmerising to live, specially small beautiful French towns. I was always discouraged by people who said that the language barrier is a main concern in quebec. I want to ask, how is the job market in quebec for English speakers? Is it safe to move there and search for a job as English speaker?
@@throughmyeyespk Québec is indeed a really good place to live. Most people speaks English here as a second language. But You will need to learn French if you want to work in Quebec. It’s in our working laws.
I lived in Jasper and it's super beautiful but i wouldn't recommend it for living as they don't allow growth in the town so the odds of you getting a house or job there is slim to none unless you work in tourism like i did when i was there however i didn't own anything. I would not suggest living inside any National Parks unless your are just doing a seasonal gig for life experience.
Mahone bay and Victoria by the sea . Best family trip 3 years ago . Warmest most humble people . Nothing does it quite like East Atlantic Canada for me.
Thank you very much for the video. Yes, housing in those small towns is far more affordable than in GTA or Lower Mainland but I wonder if there are decent work opportunities in those places. I've have lived in just one small town, Nelson, BC and it was possible only because I was already pre-employed by BC Hydro.
Great to see you again! This means a lot to me and made my day. I’ll be in Ukraine for a month at least. Hope you’re doing well and wishing you all the successes.
I want to live in a small town with lots of activities in summer and winter and natural beauty (mountains, lakes, parks). But i don't know how long it will take me to adjust as im coming from a city who's population is more than 20 millions
None of my Big Three on your list, but you highlighted some that are small, REALLY SMALL. My Big Three: 3/Stratford ON, 2/Antigonish NS, 1/Nelson BC. Admittedly 3 and 2 are rather skint on natural attractions, compared to the majesty of most that you listed. Honorable mention Sheet Harbour NS which is definitely both majestic and friendly...not all that different from your NS town, I think.

And there's not a single building in Ucleulet . How can you do a vid on small towns and not show the town ? Also , the town you're referring to in the Laurentians of Quebec is called "Saint Sauveur" , not Saint Saveur . And your intro...well , you give people the impression that their property will appreciate 10 fold in 7-8 years if they move to a small Canadian town , lol . Btw , how much is the average cost of a home in the town of Jasper ?

If you plan on moving to Canada please respect Canadian rules and laws. Do not expect us to adapt to your culture or your ways of lifestyle. Canadian folks are polite they say please and thank you. They'll hold a door open for you. Most of all we respect our elders and take care of our elders.
Dude! WHY??? Why scare people into thinking that you CAN'T stay in Quebec if you don't speak French??? I was born here, and I lived in 7 provinces. Unless you move to small towns, away from any tourists and up North, almost 90% of the population can understand English and get by with basic conversations. You either NEVER really gave it a try or are full of BS. And Montreal is the most bilingual city in the country. If you can't get by in English there, you must be really trying hard. I am getting really sick of that stupidity. My personal experience is that you CAN'T live in French anywhere in Canada except Quebec, and a few small towns in Ontario, Manitoba, or New Brunswick. But you CAN live in English in almost the whole of Quebec. I work in the tourist industry in Quebec city. With the amount of Americans I see every day, that have ZERO problems being understood anywhere they go, I figured it wasn't even a question anymore. Quebec has changed a LOT since the internet. Kids actually go online and learn English that way. You should try to stay in Montreal for a week or so and see if you make sense. Maybe Lac St-Jean would be a hard sell, but St-SAUVEUR is a touristy place and you WILL get by in English... This was just another lame political nonsense.

How can u have a top 10 of Canadian small towns and not mention one town in the Okanagan Valley in b.c

The problem is that a Top 10 list can have only ten entries...too many candidates, too few placements.
