For example, if you hold something, you can have a rock dog fire when crouched. - The boosted jump also works with the web gun. And possibly Anubis's scepter too (haven't tested this one)

Hectique has an all characters guide video that covers it! Basically you can float slightly below the screen and move all the way across it until you bump into the motherhood floor. Not as hard as it sounds if you tap your jetpack button instead of holding it
There's essentially 3 spots mothership door can spawn at the bottom of the level; 6 from the right-most tile, 5 from the left-most tile, and the middle tile (left side as the level length is even).
to get to duat you need to go to the city of gold with the ankh, find the altar, and sacrifice yourself. Typically you do this by falling from a high height on the alter. But if you have 1HP and fall onto the altar, you will instead resurrect instead of teleporting to duat. I've had a few runs ruined by that before. So if you have 1HP you need a leprechaun
The golden monkey is not useful because there is practically no way you get more gold out of it than delivering/ selling the idol. 2:32 he won't get what?
“The jump” (#31) is very difficult to pull off on the Switch, beware Switch players. I can do it very consistently on PC/PS4, but almost never on the Switch. Might be framerate dependent, lower FPS means less frames to nail the timing.
@@Hierofate Hmm maybe the Joy Con sticks then. I usually play with a Dual Shock 4 D-pad, and am not as adept with the Joy Cons. Although I am quite certain the Switch version does not run quite at 60 FPS like the PS4, probably closer to 50.
@@Hierofate No bias, I love my Switch. I do have adapters to use other controllers (which I do for some other games like Smash), but if I’m going to play Spelunky on the TV, I’m just going to use the PS4. I got Spelunky on the Switch exclusively to play on the go.
