Correction: Arcane Concentration only working on Damage based spells either use it for a free blast or Arcane missile/Explosion depending on situation Thanks for watching! If you guys have any questions or comments about Mage Healing in Season of Discovery, feel free to ask!
Mass regen 200+ mana, AB is 40+ the first and 80+ the second. If going for pt heals, I would waste all clearcasting on reaply Beacon. That way u stay mana full way longer.
Hello everyone I recommend now to add 2 pts on wand spec , now you can heal with a wand arcane So a mass regen rune with burnout and arcane blast is absolutely busted to keep everyone max hp during 5 man dungeon . And the best part is you don’t need to regen mana at all , the wand do the job pretty nicely to smooth income dmg and the arcane blast is here to burst when people are mid life … To be short , it’s like you have a perma HOT on everyone And about the raid I Ve done one yesterday and I was really close to the priest You should try , it s now super smooth on this way I looted the wand from the raid , every tik of heal are between 60-70 and 90-100 ( when it crit )
@@okayegg4597I think you’re forgetting that in ph2, we get the other 10% mana regen from the talent at 25. We also get mage armor for 30% more mama regen. Lots of mama issues will be solved and spirit will weight a lot more next phase
Whoever is trying to say good or bad things about arcane in phase 2 or 3, is a sick person. Every single playstile right now is completely modified by runes. We guess what? No one knows mage runes from phase 2. Stop guessing. Just talk about now.
This was super helpful as someone who has never healed before. I just hit 22 in SoD and going to start healing... sorry in advance to my first group of victims!
Believe me I was the same way I was almost shaking doing my first Deadmines run! You got this I have faith in you and if you have any issues don't be afraid to ask I got you!
In the talent section portion, you recommend using arcane concentration procs on regen or mass regeneration. Unfortunately, arcane concentration procs only work on damaging spells, so you cannot use them on either of those.
Regarding the talents, I personally found that speccing into Wands was actually much more useful than Arcane Explosion or Missiles. Having an arcane damage wand lets you heal from that damage IT deals too, making you even more mana efficient, plus I honestly barely found myself using arcane explosion. So much mana for such little healing.
So cool! Just came back from long break, haven't played since SOM HC, and these runes are so frickin cool! Played on a Classic+ server for a bit, so it's awesome seeing Blizz tapping into that kind of deal. Thanks for the vid, just rolled a mage and will defs play around with this at some point ;)
hey man, great guide - I just got a couple of things to add. Firstly you didnt talk about Living Flame rune vs Mass Regen? Have you tried Living Flame much? I prefer running LF since its spellfire damage, it counts as arcane for beacon healing. This is amazing in 5-mans, you'll top the dps and anyone with a beacon takes constant healing, and even in BFD I like it as a low mana, high healing/dmg cooldown. With a priest healer in BFD I never really missed Mass Regen, but something I'll need to try more. Second on talents, if you have epic tailoring boots or other sources of spell hit you can drop a couple of talents from Arcane Focus. I also don't think Improved Arcane Explosion is worth it since they nerfed the healing coefficient, so I'd go for 5/5 in Improved Arcane Missiles instead (good for solo content, pvp and dungeons - less for BFD) or 2/2 in Wand Spec, if you have a good arcane wand (there's one from BFD). Improved missiles is also super nice if you ever get aggro, you can swap to casting missiles with no pushback and keep putting healing out, instead of AB being pushed back a lot. (Aggro is common in dungeons :D) If you run a dedicated build for raid it's probably not worth it, but for an all-in-one build I'd take 5/5 missiles for general QoL. Some talents are more optional depending which content you run, outside of 2/2 Arcane Subtetly, 3/5 Arcane Focus, 5/5 Arcane Concentration and 1/3 Arcane Meditation being mandatory imo - the rest personal choice. Just my 2 cents - after clearing BFD a few times on arcane healer, and doing 5 mans etc. ty!
Thanks for the pointers! For living for life I've tried it and there are a few times where the pathing of spell doesn't do it's full potential sometimes in bfd raid but is absolutely amazing for 5mans. Honestly feel like I should have added a segment for builds for raids and then 5mans. As for talents I absolutely agree! I tried wands the very start and didnt work and I guess it got hot fixed so now I'm trying to get BFD wand (still no drop T-T) or cookies wand so I can showcase it for a video! Definitely need an update to showcase a few different play styles and the wands healing to others.
I think you can do mass regeneration x2 and rewind time before the beacon falls off on the first mass regeneration. Doing a 10man rewind. (if it were needed) It also doesn't cost any mana. but 30s cd is a lot.
Yeah only issue is that's over 500 mana in just prep and then having to keep it up and with only arcane missile and explosion and wands as you our damage source which besides wands both cost about 200-300 mana since you need to do damage with the beacons to provide additional heals and the cd just a bit too long and bit too much mana for that rotation. It's something I'm still playing around with and is rough for raid fights and longer form battles as you can only cast it on one target and you could have multiple targets that are at lower health such as the BFD turtle boss massive AoE. HOWEVER PvP and 5man groups it's absolutely great though I want to test it a bit more with some higher level stockade dungeons to really push it and test it out.
Why would you ignore Living Flame? It does crazy heals on big pulls and is nice for steady heal output even on single target. Mass regeneration is fine, but aoe range is too short for most fights where you actually would like to heal multiple targets at once.
It's just that you have to use regeneration a lot in order to get temporal beacon to work with living flame which can be costly on mana. But in five man content absolutely amazing and in BFD its good for certain bosses but it's longer cooldown is rough for bosses like the Murloc and Kelris. But yeah you're correct! It's good I just wanted to focus on a mainly healer build for newbies to get the basics and jump in!
So there's a lot of crafted gear in AH that's good like Robes of Arcana, Spider Silk Boots. Another good option is farming Twilight Cultist in Darkshore, they drop a lot of greens that can get you quick gear up. Other then that Shadowfang keeps close to last bosses drop a lot of Pre-Bis and in Deadmines the Pirate captain and Cookie drop a wand and staff that's amazing 🤩
With about 3k man I find I can destroy other healers while not really caring what I do. No thought at all really. Damn near ready to black out drunk and if someone is missing health mass regen, if not keep regen on the tank and dps. Doing a mass regen at 4 stacks is insane. Hopefully they will tune this a little better next phase, because as it is now a mage can solo BFD while half asleep
@@Datcoopguy I got whatever had int/stam on the AH. I see no need on rolling on BFD loot lol. I can't even make use of what I have. Druid healers are the same way.
@@okayegg4597 its 30 yards, if your raid is that bad, find another raid. I ran it with "of the eagle" loot no plus healing gear and damn near fell asleep, but the ppl I raid with have played wow before.
