Thanks Neil! My dad was the head of data operations for the lunar project for Grumman Aerospace at the Cape. In those days, data was trailers full of "data packs " that traveled with each Lunar module. Three 40" trailers. Every assembly was documented with 8 x 10 technicolor photos and the attached documentation as to movement, testing and status. It's hard to imagine we did it like we did in those days. You made a great tribute to these heroes that traveled on the spacecraft and I like to point out the thousands of guys and gals that did all the work behind the scenes that were the unsung heroes of the space program..
I was lucky enough to be born just before Apollo XI (March '69). Even though I have no functional memory of it, I am still, to this day, fascinated by what NASA has achieved. Well Done, Neil... a WONDERFUL testament to the amazing spirit of exploration!
These patches are burned in our memory but with your clever ideas to bring them alive we won't ever see them again with the same eyes. Incredible to think this wasn't done before, thank you very much !
Beautiful. I have all the Apollo manned mission patches framed on my wall, as well as those from Projects Mercury and Gemini. It never occured to me that the triangular shape of the Apollo 8 patch represented the CSM capsule until I saw this. Seems so obvious now...Keep up the good work.
Found this videon on Sen's magazine & enjoyed the video. When I visited the Space Center Houston I began to take pictures of all the patches on display, there were so many I began to video them briefly with my phone just to capture each one, the video animation you made with the patches are make it fun to view. I read you creat e visuals for bands doing tours, so I will keep you in mind in hopes to use your service someday soon. Keep up the great work.
These are terrific! I am sure you've had a ton of requests to do others. But I will add more! :) How about adding the Skylab patches, and Apollo-Soyuz? I would love to see the Gemini and Mercury mission patches get their due someday too. :) Thank you for these. You did a great job, and the sounds and animation capture the spirit of the mission.
Beautiful work. I was born after the Apollo program, in 1975. I wonder, when we will go back? I would like to see astronauts standing on the Moon again.
Neil, This is fantastic work and absolutely gorgeous. The whole thing flows so well. I'd love to put this up in our museum!! Cheers, Chris Orwoll - Director, New Mexico Museum of Space History

Yes . Apollo is the best event ever! Christmas 1968 i remember it . I was 12. But a fan of Apollo . and i will always be. I remember Apollo 11. and the parachute malfunction of Apollo 15. I think the last 3 missions was the best. Men will never return to Moon.
Fascinating to find a book of antiquity, telling us about those Eagles on the Moon. Men like Archimèdes and Da Vinci, studying what they saw as an ancient or parallel people's in America, the Angels and Demons, those who fly, living on the Moon and other Planets, the Sol Invictus Empire ruling many Star Systems. What they feared to find in 1492. This could be thouzands of years ago. When Europe was the Roman Empire, or the past was seeing the now. Lucian de Samosata, wrote a story of traveling to the Moon in a Sea Ship, inspired by the Birds of Aristophane who live in a Space Station City, Cloud City. It is always named A True Story, but presented as a joke and fiction. The Lucifer among us either predict future or are from a Future world. Those stories are strange in History.
My dad collects space patches. You have no idea how happy this creative made him. Excellent work, keep up the awesome.

Nice job! I worked on Apollo 16 & 17. I am touched.
These patches are burned in our memory but with your clever ideas to bring them alive we won't ever see them again with the same eyes. Incredible to think this wasn't done before, thank you very much !
Just an excellent way to bring the Apollo mission patches to life. This is a nice tribute to a time when humans were explorers .
Stunningly!
Noticed you released this in the 50th Anniversary year (2018) of the Flight of APOLLO 8!
Also my 67th Birthday!
Super AWESOME idea which falls into the "I wish I had done that" category. Worth a few more viewings for sure!
This is absolutely the best tribute to the Apollo program I have ever seen. Brilliant!

Niel Thanks Incredible, Sonya Davidson
I just watched and enjoyed this video because it was recommended by astronaut Col. Chris Hadfield via his Facebook account.
Does anybody know where he got these from?
Outstanding :)
Will there ever be a follow up with other spaceflight patches maybe involving Projects Mercury and Gemini?
Right now there are no plans for any additional patch animations. I never say never... but there are no plans.

What is the background music used here?
James Rice it's my own music I made years ago by remixing some loops.
