He's like a dentist. He knows everyone is afraid of him, but he knows what he's doing is ultimately good for everyone, so he has a sense of humor about it.
There's so much fantastic dialogue in this game. Another favorite of mine is at the end when Death says, "only those at my door can see me, and you've been an absent guest for the past several years." Like, goddamn.
I think that's only in Afterlife, which has a couple extra lines. This is from the vanilla game before the update, which is a little shorter. I ended up rewatching this when my dog died in September 2020 and absolutely bawled. It's such a powerful speech.
I also hear that Death's Gambit was pretty infamously broken at launch, which probably didn't help, and it took a bit for them to fix it. Real shame! Glad they're getting a second chance.

Crow is that annoying sarcastic friend we have but he's the most enthusiast at helping us to cope with this bleak world

Was casually playing and got blindsided by this... Unreal writing and delivery.

truly this made me cry his words were so beautiful but you missed the part where he says do not sucumb to grief

Thank you for uploading this.
Hey, no problem. It's a beautiful scene and I really wanted people to be able to easily see it.
@@JulietStMoon You don't find the cutscenes from this game anywhere on youtube, so trust me when I say- you do a service.
@@joemomma2189 it's a great game and more people should play it. Hopefully Afterlife will encourage new players!
@@JulietStMoon Mhm- I get the feeling it was kinda overlooked cause Dead Cell's released around the same time, so it was probably more bad timing

A wholly underrated speech.
It's one of the most touching things in a video game, imo. Gets me misty-eyed every time.
Looks promissor
It's a fantastic game; I recommend it.
