Anyways, the Chantry of Our Lady Redeemer having access to that illicit place brings forth a lot of questions. And to make things weirder, that part of the Chantry is where the Fade spirit/possible Awakening companion Justice, who possessed the body of the late Kristoff, last meets and probably gave avenging regards to the man's grieving wife Aura in the character's personal quest "Justice for Kristoff". Interesting that all this begins with an elf messenger (Rhyn the elf Rogue/sacrificial Grey Warden) and ends with an implied elf messenger (a child most likely to be sent by the Mother and her intelligent Darkspawn subordinate The First, with a false promise of freedom for their family if they succeed in luring poor Kristoff to his doom). [Voice actors at 28:41. Yes, one can easily recognize Yuri Lowenthal if they use their ears right.] (Ah, I miss the days when the lore only consisted of the prequel novels The Stolen Throne and The Calling, that Penny Arcade webcomic featuring Morrigan and Flemeth, the video game Origins and its DLCs, *this very webseries,* and the Awakening expansion pack.)
Kristoff is wearing armor and carrying a large, heavy sword, and he still caught up to that guy. I guess Morrigan was right about the Wardens' endurance being legendary.
Holy fuck is this amazing! I dunno if its considered Machinima or not but it is the best one I've seen in a while. The writing is amazing, the voice acting is top notch (Even if Yuri Lowenthal is roughly 80% of the voices) The animation is perfect, makes me wish the models actually moved and performed like this in the actual game. The storyline grabbed my attention instantly and I have to say, I love Kristoff, even if he dies early in Awakening. 10/10 would watch forever! Not throwing shade at Bioware or anything, but they seriously need to do more this like this, or hire the folks who made this happen. Seriously, if DA2 had something like this, it would've been amazing. Also, I see a lot of folks complaining about how Bioware ruined DA2, but its not really that bad, nor was it Bioware, if what I heard is correct then it is actually the shareholders and people at EA who ruined it by giving Bioware a shitty deadline and forcing them to cut DA2 short, while removing some truly awesome things. (Disregard this if you want, I'm no even sure if all this is accurate.)
+Jay EDJ You are correct. It was not Bioware that fucked up DA2, it was EA who forced them to release FAR earlier than the developers at Bioware would have liked. The game wasn't even totally finished and from what I have heard I've not played it yet but I will) it is painfully obvious in some places that it was rushed. Bioware was not given the time to fully polish the game because Electronic Arts wanted to hurry up and c ash in on the game. EA has done the same thing over and over with the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic, that they financed and Bioware developed.
this is excellent, I love it.Stayed true to Origins and adds verisimilitude to the world. One thing, Kristoff was a sword (actually a mace) and shield warrior and not a two handed warrior.
Justice and Kristoff aren't the same person. What Kristoff chose to fight with while alive doesn't mean Justice would choose to do the same. It makes sense for a spirit of Justice to follow the archtypical sword and shield way of battle.
Margi Fisher be that as it may when you recruit Kristoff/Justice he is set up as a mace/shield warrior. as per Dragon Age wiki "In Warden's Fall, Kristoff is a short-haired warrior wielding a two-handed weapon. In Awakening, he is a bald man with a mace and shield. In the webseries he also sports a big scar on his left eye extending across his cheek, which is missing in Awakening." dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Kristoff
I just watched it again and while that was indeed 'Tamlen's' likeness (the designers obviously used the Tamlen's template for this) Kristoff says either 'Ren' or 'Fren' at 4.11 (couldn't make it out clearly even playing it back several times) when the Hurlock Alpha kills him. So I am assuming it was actually another elf that happened to look like Tamlen, because as you said Tamlen does indeed die, or rather get's blight sickness and eventually turns to a ghoul and then gets killed by the party later in the story. dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Tamlen
Kristoff looks cool with the scar across his eye and nose, I'm still considering the design for my Grey Warden I'm thinking of having a scar and tattoo
That first game just has the dark fantasy atmosphere/look/gritty filter. They NEED to go back to this. Plus this story seemed far more interesting. Amazing what they can do with the original game's assets.
I get that DA2 is a bad game compared to its predecessor. And I don't really like it myself, but why all the hate on the story? the story, while may have needed some work, isn't really that bad. In fact, most of the plot points in DAI came from DA2. Anders' change seems realistic to me, even though I admit, it ruined Anders' character from Awakening. But a necessary ruin... Justice is very easily warped into Vengeance. And with the tension going on between Templars and Mages, you just know that both sides are going to crack sooner or later, which in DA2, Anders and Meredith did go overboard. But that's the story, which I think is pretty fine. The gameplay was fine, but less fun than DAO. It's just the amount of recycling that pisses me off...
Shoeless Scoundrel Dragon age 2 looked great.. But the you didn't had as much exploring as in Origins and tactical wise origins is a great game especially on higher difficulties.. I personally am not a very big gamer.. I enjoyed both games very much and especially inquisition. I am wondering what our next story would take place..
Taka Baruna well, what you said is right, the problem is that all the good stuff is in the last 2 hours of the game, before that is tedious chores, rehased maps and lots of filler battles.... the game has half of origins lenght, but it feels like twice of how boring it is. and the worst part is that you dont have that much control of the game's plot.
Taka Baruna The repetitive environments *do* get tiresome. I mean... do all caves look the same? Every warehouse or storage? However, I like to imagine it's only like that because the entire setting of DA2 is based on Varric's storytelling, and maybe he didn't describe the caves and storages in detail. "What? It's a cave, like any other cave, what do you want from me?"
+Sly Well that was Anders' whole point, wasn't it? A compromise wouldn't work, and trying would just be a waste of time. It's nice to be able to pick a middle ground, but in the real world that isn't always possible. A man who tries to end a war by stepping between the two factions is simply crushed between them. Frankly, I'd have been disappointed if there WAS a middle ground option, in hindsight, as it would have removed any meaningful choice, as a middle-ground option that works would invariably be the "correct" choice. That's the point here, there is no objectively "correct" choice. I'll agree on the environments though - too many re-used environments with various passages and doors simply locked shut. But honestly, aside from the mild irritation of the constant "second and third waves of enemies" in every combat popping out of nowhere to make battles drag on, that's my only real complaint about Dragon Age 2 - otherwise, I love it.
2:25 that's cold blooded warden commander! *Kick to the back* 5:09 i think the mage was just mad because the elf just walked by him and didn't even bother to try and help him up lol

you guys make even better cinematics than bioware themselves XD
28:04 "Keep moving" I will make a remix of that :D
Taka Baruna i honestly thought dragon age 2 was better than origins but i'm probably in the minority
So epic! Keep working on it! This one must continue for sure!
the cinematography was great the sweeping angles really gave off good chase scenes. shame that a continuation is a pipe dream now :(
4:10 - 4:25 That was..AWESOME
When I played in Awakening and find dead body of Kristof I'd never thought he was so cool and badass person :D
Yeah he didnt looks like this at all in Awakening, he didn't have hairs and scar on the face((
O.o - he's on the trail of the Mother, I'd say he's doing what a Grey Warden should do.
Only if machinima was still around to freaking complete this magnificent series
The dreams...😔
My god! This is fucking amazing! Please, you HAVE to continue it!
AMAZING! No other words. Love what you've done!! Please keep it up!! :D
Awesome work.. But i dont understand why so little views, this should have at least 1 mil views becouse it is awesome
14:12 King Leonidas was a Grey Warden too... LIKE A BOSS
This is AMAZING!! Minus the fact Yuri Lowenthal does the voice of EVERYONE; but its ok. 'Cos he's good. :D
2:25 that's cold blooded warden commander! *Kick to the back* 5:09 i think the mage was just mad because the elf just walked by him and didn't even bother to try and help him up lol
Wow! So well done! That was the most epic chase scene i ever saw!
