I am Cambodian, the issue of my pronunciation is that my language pronunciation is to combine first the sound before we pronounce it, It is not the case of English long sound that keeps the sound as it is. Thank for your explanation.
Before i meet you i have quite probleme about englis prononciation. About 3 videos from i find i am OK . tank very my . i am still going to join for ever

Hi Mèo, It's a shame that we don't learn about pronunciation at the beginning of learning English, as it would save people a lot of difficulties. However, I'm pleased that you've found the channel and can work on any difficulties that you are experiencing. How is pronunciation effecting you at the moment? Cheers, Michael
@@britishaccentmethod sorry for late replying. I have never had a chance to speak to native speakets so it's hard to say something about my speaking. However with the development of intetnet, especially youtube, i get lots of chances to hear people speak english. But sometimes i hardly recognize the words that they speak due to my lack of knowledge about pronunciations such as the difference between long o and short o. If i am to say correctly, i mispronounce approximate 40% of my vocabulary that i have learnt so far. At first it's frustrating, but now i believe that i will be able make up that 40% in near future.
Hi Mèo, it sounds like training your listening skills to hear the difference between certain Sounds will be a big factor in helping you to improve your pronunciation, as once you can hear the sounds, it makes reproducing them much easier. Aside from the long and short 'o', what other sounds do you find hard to hear?
@@britishaccentmethod many pairs of sounds make me confused. Luckily, your videos give my all i want to deal with them, that's why , at the moment, it's kind of hard for me to think of one. Thank you so much for your work

Hi Pham, What's the difficulty you have? it's usually either being able to hold the sound for long enough, or getting your lips into the right position.
