What an amazing collection of cool ideas! This was a very nice community-building project, Igor. Thank you for organizing it! I am a bit surprised by the relatively low number of participants in the community showcase. Maybe you could turn this into a recurring quarterly (or yearly?) event and collect ideas throughout the year.
I really appreciate you showing what your community is building! I am very new to 3D printing and 3wks ago I got a Bambu X1C and your channel has helped me so much! Thank you!
Thanks for doing this, man - and thanks for letting me share some of my work. Lots of really good prints in here that I'll be subjecting my printer to.
Sorry I was supposed to submit for this but have been distracted by stuff in my life. I have designed a cool electric screw driver case though which is my new favourite functional prints
Cool stuff! Barely scratches the surface of everything 3D printing can be used for. I've printed a custom brace for a broken stand up fan, inserts for a ski pole to hold the length, oil caps for cars, and much more!
With 3D CAD and a 3D printer, we can almost fix a rainy day. It's great to find some weird part I need on Printables that someone else already made, but I'll often not even bother to look because I can CAD whatever I need, often as quickly as I could find it online and download it.
Great video! My wife found a Benchy that I printed to test my previous printer. I forgot I had printed a Benchy because I make functional parts, designed in FreeCAD. I average a custom part like this once a week - electronic enclosures, motorcycle accessory mounting brackets, razor wall mount, used razor blade safe disposal containers (from leftover TPU filament on the end of the roll), etc. DVD shelves this week to organize my office.
Nice idea this series. I only print functional stuff from really simple to quite complex. A mix of things downloaded and designed myself. To be honest I would not have bought 3d printers for just figurines. And maybe on your channel the majority of people will be running functional prints, but you guessed that yourself :).
Excellent compilation. More like this please. I especially liked the tool related prints such as the chain saw pole and the litter picker repair. I was also impressed by the medical prints, even though I was a bit disappointed that he was not printing helicopters. ;-)
Oh, completely missed out on this, you should have promoted it more in your videos. I only design and print useful stuff so there are many examples around here :)
A few of these designs would help me out! For example I have the omnifixo kit and I like the form factor… I have yet to print a case for it, but it has a few other areas in which it is lacking, so upgrades are welcome!
I just bought an SV08. As soon as I assemble it, install the quieter Noctua motherboard fan and swap to the MicroSwiss nozzle, I'll design an enclosure for the SV08 that can be printed on the SV08. I wanted something different than the Sovol enclosure or the 3D printed enclosures that I found online. I'll upload it to Thingiverse and Printables.

The response is too low to do it regularly. I wanted to do similar one with TPU filaments, but that would have even lower response.

Very cool prints. My favorite is the scissors holder and how he handle it 😊
Cool to see the uses people find for 3d printing. Thank you for sharing these.

Same for me. Wanted to make a video, but there was just too much stuff going on.

Ya with a good printer and plastic the possibilities are endless.

Always interesting to see functional designs - great channel.

Thank you for opportunity to share and hopefully inspire others to utilize 3D printing to make their own ideas.

great designs everyone!
Very cool. thanks
Nice format, need more :)
Super cool! Please do this again and I'll definitely participate next time (didn't find the time this time).
What about the 3rd part: Functional parts from TPU ! (in few months)
@@MyTechFun This will be perfect because I have exactly that to show! To be precise two different cool projects that involve TPU!
Nice work guys, I didn't have the balls for that. Pretty cool ideas!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Very nice designs and prints from everyone and good luck for the livestream. If there was comments voting I would choose 1.Steven and 7.Dmitry
I love this type of video. Great to see functional prints from other people.

Then don't miss the TPU versin (it will be mentioned more)
Love this!!

You are really great man
My favorite 3D printed parts that I use every day are shoe insoles.
this is so cool
more of these!!!!
love that nerd forge mat! didn't know she had merch!
Glad you like it!
They mostly do clothing these days - the mat was, sadly, a one-off thing that proved to be impractical to keep producing.
These are even better than the TH-camr list!
But too small list, I thought it will be much bigger :-(
Respect and thx😊
Is the Polymaker contest for the 8 applicants to the video or for the commenters to the video?
Only for applicants. But in the Polymaker livestream, commenters can win too
Oh crap I forgot to submit a design for this! Womp womp can't do everything.
Maybe I will have the 3rd part: Functional parts from TPU !
@@MyTechFun Oooh that is one of my favs.
Oh no, Tim Hoffman didn't do a video? That's cool that you invited him though.
He did (in prevous one, TH-camrs, link to video is in description)
awesome video thanks
