Unbelievable Discoveries at Ndumo & Mkuze Game Reserves

We leave Sodwana Bay & head inland towards Unbelievable Discoveries at Ndumo & Mkuze Game Reserves, experiencing some of the best bird life we have ever experienced, we can only imagine what we could have seen if we were there in the right season.
⛺️ Ndumo's campsite felt a bit neglected, although their ablutions are being renovated and are looking good. The wildlife was slim pickings, but they have an amazing bird hide with an abundance of birdlife that took our breath away.
⛺️ Mkuze's campsite was appalling, Gén opted for a bird bath vs showering in their facilities. It is a real shame as Mkuze as a game reserve was stunning! The waterholes are a must-stop, it's where you will see most of the wildlife. #landrovernomads #campinglife #travelvlog

You need to spend more time at Mkuze to spot the big 5 they are there. Unfortunately the park seems to have no interest in accommodation as the chalets are also neglected. The camp site was recently resurrected by the honorary rangers it was closed for a long time.

Unfortunately we didn’t have much time to spend in Mkuze. Yeah we were told the honorary rangers had just opened it up, but we believe they just opened the gates 🤣😂 The showers were clogged & we were lucky that another camp took it upon himself to fix the showers. Definitely a beautiful game reserve though.
