A top 3 Creed for me. Now that the prices are coming down, I think people are starting to realize that it's actually a great fragrance and quite versatile for both casual and formal occasions. Mature, yes, but I think any age group and pull it off.

By the way, there are another fragrance from Creed that brings up that rose note that you’ve mentioned. That’s Royal Mayfair. This is one of my favorite fragrances from Creed, along with Bois du Portugal and Himalaya. And fantastic review, like always.
Love the scent. It’s longevity on my skin is less than 2 hours, which bummed me out for that price point, as it’s so spicy and refreshing. Nothing really smells like it.
Solid review. For me I like timbuktu or safari by polo better. I think baldefrique or African leather work better for many people. I know some people love this one though.
Gorgeous spicy scent, it lasts 5-6 hours on me, I bought the discovery set, and was very pleased. It smells like CLOVES, tangy spicy, very sophisticated. i got lots of compliments!
This is a fragrance that has to be experienced to truly understand it. I guarantee most that try it at first glance hate it lol. Then you give it a week or 2 and suddenly it’s a favorite. That’s exactly how it was for me. It’s one of my favorite off all time. Hopefully I can get it next week lol
My first Creed fragrance. I heard so much about this house, I'm kinda hyped for some of their creations. Got a sample of this that i am testing today. First impression: spicy, manly, notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. Gonna look up the notes list to see if I got these right. Very curious about the drydown, longevity and people's reaction..
I was in love with this one but made the cardinal sin of over-spraying it once and I have had to take a long break from it. The drydown is magnificent and I feel it’s the best office fragrance.

Had my second try of this fragrance today and although the first time I tried it I wasn't that keen but I like it and will continue to wear my sample over the next few days.....I may well make a purchase
This is probably the best scent I’ve EVER like literally ever smelt ... masculine....sweet... fresh... strong... raw ....this fragrance has so much character...soooo good. the downside is that the projection is very low for this price tag but... whatever. I still buy it it’s so awesome I can’t even pass a day without smelling it.
I was a little confused by the name but I guess it makes sense. I wasn’t totally blown away by this one at first but over time I’ve grown to really enjoy this one. It is in the same area as old spice as many have said, but the quality of this is much much higher and to me the two are very different. This is classy and rich smelling and quality is superb.
When I got the sample set from Creed, I liked Aventus 1st but this one grew on me over Green Irish Tweed. Its more masculine. When I put it on my wife asked, "Are you wearing love potion #9 or something?" I was surprised she liked it since she is very picky on most fragrances and it has a barbershop scent vibe but more elegant. I had to go ahead and purchase the 3.3 bottle. 1 of my new favs.
Hated it, had a sample, lost it, found it months later, tried it out one evening again, now i love it. Buying a full bottle soon. Really enjoy that eucalyptus fresh citrus in the opening, turns into a creamy spice lavender after about 3-4 hours. This frag makes me feel good. Great review. Thank you.
So far my fav from the house of Creed. Only had samples. But love the salty aquatic as it dries down. The opening for me reminds me of Red Hots candy lol. But I really enjoy it. Great vid. I like it for colder weather.
I ordered a sample after your first video. I got it and it was the hottest day of the year and I sprayed it on and went to work. Viking annoyed me all I picked up on wood and salt all day. I didnt touch it till the fall and revisited it and I fell in love with it I walked into the kitchen and my wife spun around and said omg what is that you are wearing I said viking see said no that sucked lol currently saving for a bottle

I wanted something to wear for a blind date. The weather was to be in the high 60's and I didn't want anything that reached across the table and overpowered dinner. Although Bois du Portugal is my favorite, I had recently picked up Viking and thought it might be a good choice after the dry down. After dinner while while walking to my car, she was on my arm and said "You smell good." I knew I made the right selection.

Good review I agree with the person who says it definitely has an old Spice vibe. It is very nice does kinda have the "dad" vibe too it and well it's a niche fragrance hence the price and quality
This definitely reaches back to the 70s/80s powerhouse fragrances, with some modern notes. (Quorum and Aromatics Elixir have a millennial lovechild?). Even the name evokes the big-shouldered 80s mindset. More dry and austere than gourmand. In that context, this is well executed.
I don’t know how people complain about how long it lasts, I sprayed this one time on my wrists from a sample so the spray wasn’t even a full one I went to work put leather gloves on and after many hrs of sweat , dirt, leather rubbing on the spot I could still smell it THROUGH my long sleeve shirt
I'm a fan of this one as well. My grandfather bought a bottle of it only because it said Viking on the bottle. He is a giant Minnesota Vikings football fan. He doesnt even wear colognes! I myself own Seven Seas by Alexandria Fragrances which is a clone of Viking.
I'm yet to smell this one, I may get a sample sometime. For now, the only 2 full bottles I'd buy from Creed right now are Aventus and probably Green Irish Tweed. It's just with the Aventus, it seems to be a pain in the ass trying to find the right batch.
I have been a big fan of this scent since I first tried it. It fits well with my natural scent. I think it has gotten a bad rap from the community because it is, unfairly, compared to Aventus. This is not that and was never meant to be that. It is complex and the dry-down is quite a bit different from the first impression. This is one that is a signature scent for me.

I received the free sample from creed when this first came out but the vial was crushed. I didn't get to try it out, i was just able to smell the packaging. I emailed Creed about it and they never responded. That with their recent price hikes, I just won't spend any more money with them.
I just get a rusty metal smell with some lavender. Rusty metal viking helmet and armour. Creed probably achieved the smell they were trying get for this. Its not for me personally, rusty smell is bad enough that scrubbed and washed this off my wrist. I like Aventus and silver mountain water so its not like i dislike all Creed fragrances.
Hope you one day create a fragrance somewhere along these lines. My guess is that you could "modernize" it just to the right extent. Anyway...waiting on my discovery set. Super Ppstched!!
Hey Steven,nice video as always! Have you perhaps heard of "Just Jack" perfumes and what is your opinion of them? I heard they are clones of TF perfumes, but nobody did a thorough review of them so I am not sure if they are worth the buck,was thinking if giving them a try.
I sprayed this 2 sprays on right arm and 2 sprays of amougue beachhut on the left, both great but amougue performs much better, viking seems to wear off after 2, 3 hours
Got a bottle of beach hut last friday. Next week i get viking as a present for my birthday. Both fragrances are great but beach hut is a special one. Funny how we like the same fragrances
I actually don’t like Lavender scented colognes. Might have something to do with Artisan Blu, that had a heavy Lavender scent to it and I did not care for it at all. Can you tell that there’s Lavender in it?
It wasn't well recieved because it was judged based on the opening. I get it, it's very salty and bitter like saltwater for the first 30 minutes or so, but once you get past that, this is a solid one. Allthough it doesn't smell the same, it gives the same vibe as Green Irish Tweed. Fresh masculinity.
Was in NY last wk to see the David Gilmour exhibit. Hit up a boutique n the creed area the guy pulled out a mini viking. Idk if it was a 1.7 it looked even smaller it was so cute n pretty now I want it..looked like an exclusive size he pulled it from behind the counter.
Yea that's why I stick to online especially ebay!! I don't think I've ever payed over $150 a 4oz Creed bottle except for my aventus 13z01 n exclusifs spice n wood 2.5oz when it was just released. I crack up when I go to sephora n prada scents are like $89 ..average prada scent online is like $40-60.

Check for reviews on youtube about fakes someone may have done a vid that can help u spot things to look out for b4 u buy that specific perfume. Make sure seller has few pics of item. If u get a fake on Ebay I know your protected I've never been burned. Out of 100s of successful purchases the few fakes that popped up I've gotten full returns on no issue.
Smelled that for first time the other day super green n manly almost like ivy n oakmoss had a nice citric sparkle to it carrying it as well so it wasnt too dark. But I was also smelling neroli sauvage for first time so that may have been lingering in my nose a lil too haha.

I think it’s a modern take of royal oud, yes I know they are vastly different but both have a mature successful man vibe to it. I love this scent, dry down is where it shines, it’s my fall scent.
I’ve got like 7 x 100 ml bottles, and tried 10. Viking isn’t worth it. Millesime imperial isn’t either The best is definitely Aventus Original santal is a more complex Millésime Green Irish tweed is good My favourite though is royal Mayfair 120ml
No reference to Old Spice? I've been hearing this is similar to classic Old Spice. Three references to it in this comments thread. There's your similarity to "classic" scents right there. My bottle is in the mail so I'll see. I'm a big fan of classic Old Spice having grown up with it, and I've been wanting a stronger, richer, more fleshed-out proper fine fragrance interpretation of that classic dime store toiletry product, which happens to be the world's first men's Spicy Oriental. So far I have found it in Paul Sebastian Fine Cologne. PSFC is a near perfect stronger/richer/more fleshed out analog to Old Spice. So I'm intrigued with Vikings similarities to OS. I doubt it's closer than Paul Sebastian, but it will be a high quality niche approximation.
Hey, I noticed you recommend CDNIM as an Aventus clone, I've heard people talk about different batches of it and that some perform very poorly. Do you have any thoughts on this, or are all the batches very similar?
i really like this from the first sniff (but i waited couple of months after it came out).. mint really gets me... I feel like it has poor performance but that may be olfactory fatique cuz i got a compliment ones about 3hours after spraying. Very versitile, great for spring, great for work. And it is really unique! there's nothing like it.

Highly underrated in my opinion excellent smell and had more complements from the lady’s than aventus 👍
I prefer Viking to Aventus, even if Aventus has its place I think Viking will eventually take over as the preferred Creed scent.

Erolfa is a bit more plain to me but easier to wear. I would say this is a pretty safe blind buy.

Overall is a pleasant, pink pepper, Rose. Works well and it's wearable

I have been a big fan of this scent since I first tried it. It fits well with my natural scent. I think it has gotten a bad rap from the community because it is, unfairly, compared to Aventus. This is not that and was never meant to be that. It is complex and the dry-down is quite a bit different from the first impression. This is one that is a signature scent for me.

I received the free sample from creed when this first came out but the vial was crushed. I didn't get to try it out, i was just able to smell the packaging. I emailed Creed about it and they never responded. That with their recent price hikes, I just won't spend any more money with them.

I just get a rusty metal smell with some lavender. Rusty metal viking helmet and armour. Creed probably achieved the smell they were trying get for this. Its not for me personally, rusty smell is bad enough that scrubbed and washed this off my wrist. I like Aventus and silver mountain water so its not like i dislike all Creed fragrances.

Hey Steven,nice video as always! Have you perhaps heard of "Just Jack" perfumes and what is your opinion of them? I heard they are clones of TF perfumes, but nobody did a thorough review of them so I am not sure if they are worth the buck,was thinking if giving them a try.

I sprayed this 2 sprays on right arm and 2 sprays of amougue beachhut on the left, both great but amougue performs much better, viking seems to wear off after 2, 3 hours
Got a bottle of beach hut last friday. Next week i get viking as a present for my birthday. Both fragrances are great but beach hut is a special one. Funny how we like the same fragrances
I actually don’t like Lavender scented colognes. Might have something to do with Artisan Blu, that had a heavy Lavender scent to it and I did not care for it at all. Can you tell that there’s Lavender in it?
It's not too strong
It wasn't well recieved because it was judged based on the opening. I get it, it's very salty and bitter like saltwater for the first 30 minutes or so, but once you get past that, this is a solid one. Allthough it doesn't smell the same, it gives the same vibe as Green Irish Tweed. Fresh masculinity.

Was in NY last wk to see the David Gilmour exhibit. Hit up a boutique n the creed area the guy pulled out a mini viking. Idk if it was a 1.7 it looked even smaller it was so cute n pretty now I want it..looked like an exclusive size he pulled it from behind the counter.

Yea that's why I stick to online especially ebay!! I don't think I've ever payed over $150 a 4oz Creed bottle except for my aventus 13z01 n exclusifs spice n wood 2.5oz when it was just released. I crack up when I go to sephora n prada scents are like $89 ..average prada scent online is like $40-60.

Check for reviews on youtube about fakes someone may have done a vid that can help u spot things to look out for b4 u buy that specific perfume. Make sure seller has few pics of item. If u get a fake on Ebay I know your protected I've never been burned. Out of 100s of successful purchases the few fakes that popped up I've gotten full returns on no issue.

Smelled that for first time the other day super green n manly almost like ivy n oakmoss had a nice citric sparkle to it carrying it as well so it wasnt too dark. But I was also smelling neroli sauvage for first time so that may have been lingering in my nose a lil too haha.

But then third fourth I am really in love with this 😂😂 it's not something easy to understand but I like it so much even prefer this over aventus it's manly a more for mature people I think with time this one will get more and more hype and we need some colognes for this to be honest I couldn't buy this its so expensive after some samples I had 😂 I didn't find any cologne available where I live so I ended buying a dub for 20 $ I know it's a dub and it's not good to have a fake one in collection but it smells very smeller to the opening only and stay linearly like viking stile I like it for 20 $ not bad and for about 3 hours of performance not bad I just wish I can afford the original 😭😭😭

I think it’s a modern take of royal oud, yes I know they are vastly different but both have a mature successful man vibe to it.

Millesime imperial isn’t either
The best is definitely Aventus
Original santal is a more complex Millésime
Green Irish tweed is good
My favourite though is royal Mayfair 120ml
I definitely like this one once I wore it. It wasn't as pleasant when I smelled it on a test strip

Mint? I didn't get that at all. However, after you mention it, I can vaguely smell mint. To me, the opening smells like a very smoky-mint.

No reference to Old Spice? I've been hearing this is similar to classic Old Spice. Three references to it in this comments thread. There's your similarity to "classic" scents right there. My bottle is in the mail so I'll see. I'm a big fan of classic Old Spice having grown up with it, and I've been wanting a stronger, richer, more fleshed-out proper fine fragrance interpretation of that classic dime store toiletry product, which happens to be the world's first men's Spicy Oriental. So far I have found it in Paul Sebastian Fine Cologne. PSFC is a near perfect stronger/richer/more fleshed out analog to Old Spice. So I'm intrigued with Vikings similarities to OS. I doubt it's closer than Paul Sebastian, but it will be a high quality niche approximation.

Hey, I noticed you recommend CDNIM as an Aventus clone, I've heard people talk about different batches of it and that some perform very poorly. Do you have any thoughts on this, or are all the batches very similar?
I have only tried two batches, and they smell pretty consistent to me.
Its not batches in cdnim but its been reformulated. You can see it on the atomizer wether old or new bottle

i really like this from the first sniff (but i waited couple of months after it came out).. mint really gets me... I feel like it has poor performance but that may be olfactory fatique cuz i got a compliment ones about 3hours after spraying. Very versitile, great for spring, great for work. And it is really unique! there's nothing like it.

Could be a combination of the mint and the eugenol!
does this become a skin scent like immediately? i tried a tester at the mall and ask my lady like 20 minutes later if she could smell me walking next to her and she said no.
I don't think it does. I think it takes a while, perhaps a couple of hours.
