One of the best Irish entries. Love it.
she's a friend of my mother, still a beautiful person
She's the daughter of a good friend of mine
I just LOVE this song. It is so beautiful and her voice and perfomance is just perfect. My favourite that year, and it still gets me in 2020.
Deadly song!
Fantastic song and a beautiful girl.😍
She was just on rte radio there and is 95% blind even then. The director managed the cameras for her movement in rehearsals. No one knew she was blind
Me only 75.
So good Song.
Beautiful song, she has a great voice. One of our better entries :)
Thin voice
Beautiful!!
Wait until the weekend comes
Then we’ll have what time it takes
To sort it out, to see it through
Wait until the weekend comes
Sundays always change your mind
And make you laugh about me and you
Hold me now
Really don’t want you to go
Really don’t want you to go
And I’m so afraid
Hold me now
Really don’t want you to know
Really don’t want you to know
That I’m so afraid
Wait until the summer comes
Sunshine looks so good on you
We’ll catch the tide and start anew
Hold me now
Really don’t want you to go
Really don’t want you to go
And I’m so afraid
Hold me now
Really don’t want you to know
Really don’t want you to know
That I’m so afraid
Wait until the rainbow ends
Then we’ll find our pot of gold
Lovers, friends, just growin’ old
So wait until the weekend comes and goes
Wait until the weekend comes and goes
Adorable
.Nice song and beatiful girl from 1985 erovision. ❤️
Excellent performance by a high talented woman ! Well done !
I love this song thanks Ireland
Love this song from Ireland
A great song, very well performed and with a beautiful arrangement. The camerawork of this production really highlights the performances too.
grew up with this song
One of the more difficult 7 singles to be found !!
so sweet
Quite a pedigree behind this one. Brendon Graham, the songwriter, would layer write Ireland’s two most recent Eurovision winners (94 and 96) while arranger Bill Whelan would later compose the score to Riverdance.
I think Bill Whelan also orchestrated What's another year and Hold me now
Nice!
My favorite song and lady back in 1985! I was disappointed she didn’t win the competition
If it's any consolation, the composer/lyricist Brendan Graham won in 1994 (Rock 'n roll kids) and 1996 (The Voice) instead. :)
Linda canción.
Şarkıyı çok nazik söylüyor
Wasn't she the first blind singer at the ESC?
At the time she wasn't blind yet, she had and has an eye condition that slowly would impact on her sight. She became blind later in life.
@@majormarco I Read that she is blind 95 percent since age 9:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maria_Doyle-Cuche
She was blind when she represented Ireland but she refused to speak at the time of her blindness
Back when the Eurovision was more respected as a song contest with actual talent, unlike the freak show it is now.
What a pleasant ballad, though I think Finland would've been a stronger opener. In any event, the way this song ends is really overdone by the orchestra.
Glad the orchestra days are done so songs can be presented with free will.
Awful, boring
your reply is the same
