The Zodiac ciphers are simply solved with Google translator. But hes been found. Erik and I found him. And an entire town in Holland, called Hassem. Zodiac is from Holland, and his name is very common in Holland. Their town became snowed in one winter and the only movie showing was stuck and no movies could be delievered. It was a Zodiac movie, so everyone got outraged there could be one of their own serial killing in america. And yes, Zodiac was from Holland. There are clusters of people in Europe working on American mysteries. He was found for them - yearbook - for me - uncles pulps match to murders and uncle has same middle as last name, then I found a male relative in ancestry that would be about the same age as Z. Then this name was the name of the person clear at the bottom of the comic Lady of Doom reissue 55. I was one of two civilians working on the Fl cases, Then his name just happened to match the name we found in Z340 and Z408. It was not in Z13, A phrase was there.
Here is the letter from the Zodiac task force sergeant in FL., He killled there. see last line. (I removed it, had sensitive information) From his name in Z340 and Z408 (those were solved 3 years ago) we got his name and then focused our research on him only. It was him. Well they are not saying at this time, but I heard it will be this year. The public can take heart in knowing the satisfaction, he was found when still alive, and he got really mad and he died knowing F**K I AM NOT CRACKPROOF !!! lol (he lived in Perris since 85) The ciphers were just language translations, you solve them, you see his name staring at you in English. We finally found him Guys. SFPD, SFFBI, FLPD, Crypto Assn, DoJ - all know and have known. He had been living like a hermit chameleon since 85 in Perris. (Z13 says Glasses male me)

The whole profile makes the zodiac seem fitting into the stereotypical "highly intelligent sociopath serial killer who taunts the police". The type that treats it like a game to stay ahead, daring the police to catch them. Giving the cops something completely useless would be under their niveau.

The killer (if it's him writing those) wouldn't feel very smart if the police couldn't decipher something that has no solution to start with. He'd feel very smart though if there is a solution and the police are none the wiser.

In regards to the d'agapeyeff cipher it is sort of the proof of something I have often said, the way to throw off decryption is to use a language no one knows easily or has not thought to program into a computer (especially a dead language or an invented one). The bigger the alphabet that exists for the initial language the harder it is figure out.
That's why some ancient languages have not had their surviving texts decoded for a very long time. So much of what was written in Cuneiform (in languages of Sumerian, Akkadian, Eblaite, Elamite, Hittite, Hurrian, Luwian, Urartian, Palaic, Aramaic, Old Persian) but that you won't find too many modern translators able to take things written in such and work with them in a cryptographic manner if they are converted to modern numeric style forms.

That reminds me of the code talkers, native americans that translated into english into their languages, that transmitted, and translated back on the other end. Only someone fluent enough in both sides would be able to do the quite informal translation. And there aren't many speakers of native american languages in europe or east asia, neither now, nor in the early-mid 20th century.

YOU ARE RIGHT YOU ARE RIGHT YOU ARE RIGHT Joesph Teller Sometimes though Joseph you have to translate to the original language which will be arabic squiggles and then translate to English, but yes, you do every one with google translator, see above. I showed you an example, it doesnt get any easier, those WERE CIPHERS. Zodiac says, and many just believe it, no they are obscere languages. NO ONE will believe what they really are, Thats ok I got his name. And if you dont want to do them. all you do is send to an arabic translation company It will take you about an hour to do them all.

Funny enough for Zodiac's Z13 cypher if you use the key from the 408 cipher it says Weed Shrewh, which is interesting in that you wouldn't expect the key from one cipher to produce anything close to actual words in a cipher with a different key. And yet, Weed Shrew h, two actual words. Granted together they make no sense and don't seem to be any sort of clue, plus the h at the end. And the Z32 has an omega in it, which is used in physics for ohms, and thus used by electrical engineers as well. And a few of Zodiac's symbols are used in Boolean algebra, which is what electrical engineers use to design logic circuits. Seems Zodiac left clues, within his clues, about who he is.

Typing this without doing a deep dive, but has anyone considered that parts of the Voynich manuscript were written in either right to left and/or mirror script? 13:42 definitely looks like the author wrote left-handed like Da Vinci.
Probably still encrypted backwards, but just adding food for thought.

  • @crackedmagnet

For Z13 if you use the same key as z340 and the letter "D" for the symbol that doesn't appear in z340 you get DREADADOLEDO, which could be "Dread-a-doodle-doo" with the double letters changed to single ones to prevent a vulnerability in the cipher. Given its using a known key with only one symbol guessed, I think thats what the message probably said and he was just "needling police" again. But as Simon said, with such a short message it's basically impossible to prove any answer is correct.

It was in Z340 and Z408 only. Its not gibberish, even word called gibberish is not. Z340 was just like the others to solve, but yet a diff language than the others (Tamil) It is not hard at all. Kryptos has underlayers. K0 They made it harder by taking the X's out. That's part that links it to the larger sculpture. The sections interlink in layers. The instructions people missed is in the open. Interpret at I,T. Also EEE invisable.
K1 underlayer. L words. Light Lies between subtle shading and the absence of the nuance of illusion. Keyed word illusion keyword palimpsest also instructions
K2 layer 2. Words before X's. " field location somewhere message west " X's to ?'s " Does Langley know about this? Who knows the exact location?". Words before ?'s." Possible this location. " Keyed word underground ( O,U ) Keyword abscissa also a X check and instructions. X both sides abscissa.
    K3 X " mist" X to ? Can you see anything Q?" ( Q illusion referance) keyed word desperately (E,A) missing E pulls our " RAT"
K4 has a keyed word still encrypted. It has a underlayer that links with the rest. It has K to K and S to S and other clues from known cipher text to known text. Also showing a shift 1 in a few spots.

The solved "ciphers" are incorrect, and 16 lines are remaining in Z340 to still be done. His name is in both Z340, and Z408. Solve those. They are only other languages. I have handed in and got approval. THESE ARE CHECKABLE, THE OTHERS WERE NOT. Zodiac name is in Z340 and Z408. Its english. You solve like this. First letter will start in the 4 lines done.RIGHT SIDE Pick that now go out and pick another letter of the name, english, and towards the middle, It goes in random letters and windy like a snake - its random letters. When you solve in full start looking for words that fit awkwardly that is an indication one letter of name may be present. Go clear to the bottom in a windy fashion. Also to let you know do Z13 and Z32 3 times not once. First time- straight solve, 2nd you manipulate the language and solve again, it will tell you what letters to change and where. 3rd time, manipulate language again, and this gives you the final answer. Hint: XXXXXXXXz13. Your turn now. I will give an example
    Tamil
    ausse
    5 / 5,000
    honest
See: Ausse means honest Gyke is not the name of a polish guy, try it. They did 4 lines only on TV, Left remaining 16 lines, its not more of the same, this is where all the clues about Zodiac IS. To get the name, In Z340 he has last name, Z408 has full name, Missed by oranchak and hardens. Gave it to Law enforcement. Your first letter will be in the 4 lines "solved" Now pick that letter go to the next letter, all the rest of the letters go out to the center and it is presented in a windy manner, like a snake winds around randomly ? In Z408, you have one name to a section, solve the same way as Z340 but this time you will have first name in first section, middle ---- last ----- Times must be first. TV cryptos have now been told how to solve. Each translation will be a different language.

He misspelled words in ways that they were pronounced like the correct spelling, and he also would take doubled letters and reduce them to single letters, he also would do the reverse. His misspellings are definitely intentional, and also a clue. If two things sound the same, they're called homophones. There's a class of ciphers known as homophonic ciphers, and that's what his Z408 and Z340 ciphers are. Granted he did misalign part of the Z340, but that was easily fixed and didn't cause the issue an actual wrong letter in a cipher would cause. Also the way he wrote it, in perfectly straight rows and columns, sure makes it look like he was quite familiar with cryptography. And that's not all that suggests he was.

As said in the video, some of the Zodiac cyphers have been solved pretty recently (after decades of unsuccessful attempts).

A problem I've only just noticed. When deciphering text the assumption is that the plain text original was spelled correctly, for example at 2:31, in paragraph K3 'desperately' is wrongly spelled 'desparatly' so if the decryption process looks for proper words it will skip errors like this.

Hello, I have found something. In Z340 there appears also to be a second message solved vertically. Theres a line above "Gyke" - the word "because", you drop the "be", type "cause space gyke". - it is the language Friesen - upper pennisula of the Netherlands and where he is from, it says GOOD LUCK. I wonder how many times he hid words and it has to be done a second time to get the vertical messages. Just like he did when he hid messages behind misspellings. Yes, I solved the remainder lines 5-20 that was never solved in Z340 and all the rest too, they are other languages. The Zodiac wrote "cause" Cryptos made it into "because". But you were not supposed to. He did mean Cause.
HE TOLD US GOOD LUCK. HMMMMM. Wonder what else is hidden ??
