Thanks for the great video. I remember doing the four in a row along Loch Tay on a blistering July day. We came back much the same colour as your jacket.
Hello, I could well imagine the July conditions and no better area for a days wonder. Its not often we need to splash on the suncream 🤣 Cheers, Charlie
Hey Charlie Mike, cracking bit of exercise, Running over these bumps like young hares 🙂 great video, really enjoyed it, it's a nice part of scotland loch tay and glen Lyon, Thanks for sharing,
Hi D&L, It was certainly a full array of conditions and temperatures but nice to get off route into the quiet coire. A cracking spot which is probably well sheltered for camping 👍Cheers, Charlie
Seen the bottom half of your first two munros earlier this month from Rob Roy's path along the south side of Loch Tay, the tops were well lagged in, inspirational video!
Cracking day Charlie and Mike! That's a fair drop from An Stuc! My favourite bit though was your slalom skills Charlie 😂. Some cracking clouds rolling by and hunners of broken spectres! Defo a good bit of exercise. Paul
Hi Paul, It was a super day with a mixture of everything. The Lawers certainly offer many different routes without having to travel for hours for a change👍 The arse has recovered from the ice slide, I suspect it'll be the last for the year. 🤣 Cheers, Charlie
Hi Andrew, Really glad you enjoyed our latest trip to this stunning area. The tops here give various route options and you can find pockets that don't have the usual crowds. Cheers, Charlie
That was an awesome and outstanding hike, Charlie. Not just because of the long distance and the great ascent but because of the stunning views in different weather conditions. Loved to see your „sledge ride“. Thanks for sharing 🏴. Cheers Wolfgang
Hi Wolfgang, Glad you enjoyed viewing our outing, we certainly had a mixed bag of conditions which all added to the experience. Its such a great area with a full variety tops. Cheers, Charlie
Hi Brian, Your right, we had a right mixture of conditions but a super day. The heat was very enjoyable during our pit stop giving the feeling of Spring. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie
What a beautiful day you had. Odd patches of stubborn cloud but they didn’t detract from a cracking day. As you said, a good exercise for the legs. That is a big day with plenty of ascent, particularly the descent off An Stuc and then the ascent up on to Meall a’ Choire Leith. I like the Ben Lawers group, in particular An Stuc, a nice pointy summit. It brought back a lot of memories. Thank you once again for sharing the video, really enjoyable.
Hi Jonathan, Your right, The Lawers is a super range of hills and ideal for an array of different outings. I agree, An Stuc is the standout particularly if walking in full winter condition. All good fun... Cheers, Charlie
Yet again a superb video catching the wondrous atmosphere of the Highlands. Thank you for producing these videos Charlie. There are two groups of peaks above 4,000 feet. Of course the Cairngorms and the Ben Nevis group. I am going to build a 20 foot cairn on top of Ben Lawers, fill it with granite coloured cement. Then there will be a third 4000 er outside this group.
Hi Malcolm, I had forgotten about that, I remember reading about the attempt to get Ben Lawers to 4000 feet. Not sure I see the point but it's certainly the dig daddy of this group. Cheers, Charlie
Think I passed you guys yesterday, I was coming off An Stuc, as you were ascending, great video still felt like Winter on the tops although definitely Spring in the air further down, that looks like a nice off piste route of An Stuc
Good walk, I remember doing these with my son (18 years old) many years ago. We got back to the car and he asked if we could carry on and do the walk you video last week. OH to be that fir again. Many thanks for sharing. ATB
Hi John, I often thing back to the days when tops weren't a big challenge and they came a lot easier than now but time rolls on. You've just got to keep pushing the envelope even though its getting small year by year 🤣Cheers, Charlie
Very impressive, as usual. Especially the bum slide. Like me you can remember when An Stuc was upgraded. Fortunately, we had anticipated that might happen, but I ended up doing it again with a friend who hadn't!
Hi Geoffrey, An Stuc was one of the easier upgrades as its normally gone over when completing the ridge. It's probably the best top in this group all things considered. Cheers, Charlie
Superb day with stunning views in an absolutely classic setting. I’ve never managed a Brocken Spectre and it seems like you see one or more every time you’re out at the moment! Great as ever. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes Murdo
Hi Murdo, Yes, we've been fortunate on the last few outings with the conditions just coming to gather at the right height. Always a joy to see the effect. Cheers, Charlie
Well done again 5 munro’s ,your both amazingly fit guys . Your video’s are always something to look forward too , thank again for sharing your day and information of your walk 🤗👍
That's a big day taking in the 5 Munro's. Revisited some of these after many years bagging other Munro's last year. forgot how good this area is and so close to the central belt. Great effort...
Hello, Its always an area that's worth a few visits and close to home for a change. You've just got to go early to get ahead of the crowds. Cheers, Charlie
Hi trapper, Glad you enjoyed our latest outing and many thanks for watching. We work at keeping our legs in condition which all helps to enjoy the days without struggling. Cheers, Charlie
So good to see a bum-slide. Personally, I've recorded thousands of metres of descent using this mode...as well as many ruined pairs of breeks. Terrific video. TY

Hi Frank, We had a super day but the lingering cloud and occasional wind didn't get the memo about settled clear skies as forecast. It's a nice grouping for a slightly bigger day which will help get us ready for a few longer days soon. Glen Affric, Knoydart & Fisherfield are all on the cards, so looking forward to it. Cheers, Charlie
@@charliemccartney7055 We have used our bivvy bags for bum slides. Top tip, sit on it, do not get inside. The sudden approach of scree may need a quick exit. The heights and distances you two do are very impressive.
Hey Charlie, another great video. My two young boys and wife are great fans of you. We have started a small channel to help parents who want to take young children. Thanks for inspiring us. One last thing- you should link up an Instagram account as great to see you on there
