This walk takes in the five Munros around Ben Lawers in a loop from the NTS car park. The weather didn't quite match the clear skies as promised but the day was warm when sheltered from the strong east wind.

Cracking day Charlie and Mike! That's a fair drop from An Stuc! My favourite bit though was your slalom skills Charlie 😂. Some cracking clouds rolling by and hunners of broken spectres! Defo a good bit of exercise. Paul
Hi Paul, It was a super day with a mixture of everything. The Lawers certainly offer many different routes without having to travel for hours for a change👍 The arse has recovered from the ice slide, I suspect it'll be the last for the year. 🤣 Cheers, Charlie

12 years since I was on Meall Corranaich. Looks like they cleared the scrap metal fencing from the summit cairn.
Think I passed you guys yesterday, I was coming off An Stuc, as you were ascending, great video still felt like Winter on the tops although definitely Spring in the air further down, that looks like a nice off piste route of An Stuc

What a beautiful day you had. Odd patches of stubborn cloud but they didn’t detract from a cracking day. As you said, a good exercise for the legs. That is a big day with plenty of ascent, particularly the descent off An Stuc and then the ascent up on to Meall a’ Choire Leith. I like the Ben Lawers group, in particular An Stuc, a nice pointy summit. It brought back a lot of memories. Thank you once again for sharing the video, really enjoyable.

Like me you can remember when An Stuc was upgraded. Fortunately, we had anticipated that might happen, but I ended up doing it again with a friend who hadn't!
Hi Geoffrey, An Stuc was one of the easier upgrades as its normally gone over when completing the ridge. It's probably the best top in this group all things considered. Cheers, Charlie

There are two groups of peaks above 4,000 feet. Of course the Cairngorms and the Ben Nevis group. I am going to build a 20 foot cairn on top of Ben Lawers, fill it with granite coloured cement. Then there will be a third 4000 er outside this group.
Hi Malcolm, I had forgotten about that, I remember reading about the attempt to get Ben Lawers to 4000 feet. Not sure I see the point but it's certainly the dig daddy of this group. Cheers, Charlie

That's a big day taking in the 5 Munro's. Revisited some of these after many years bagging other Munro's last year. forgot how good this area is and so close to the central belt. Great effort...

What a lovely day you both got altho it looked a tad windy at times. Impressive bum slide Charlie😂 there hard to resit at times. You were treated to a few BS along the route. Certainly a good leg stretcher getting 5 bagged👍👏

Hi Frank, We had a super day but the lingering cloud and occasional wind didn't get the memo about settled clear skies as forecast. It's a nice grouping for a slightly bigger day which will help get us ready for a few longer days soon. Glen Affric, Knoydart & Fisherfield are all on the cards, so looking forward to it. Never expected our heroes to demonstrate a bum slide. Think you have found a niche for a new Munros book, best routes, graded for bum sliding.

@@charliemccartney7055 We have used our bivvy bags for bum slides. Top tip, sit on it, do not get inside. The sudden approach of scree may need a quick exit. The heights and distances you two do are very impressive.

Hi gavstar, Yes, a path heads north at Lawers village (NN680400) and follows the route of the lawers burn up to the lochan nan cat. Cheers, Charlie
