    I completely agree that this is essential. In fact, this is my 3rd favourite for a reason. Psychedelic music usually feels too meandering or unfocused or muddy for me, but Long Season just nails the out of body experience so much that I can't do anything while listening to it, I NEED to pay full attention to it. Overall one of the greatest albums!

    • @WeepingWillow6497
      @WeepingWillow6497 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree about the cute factor. Maybe it's the fact the band was always being a bit silly or strange on even their heaviest releases? The way Shinji solos over Hikouki on 98.12.28, the refrain "ger round in the season" (which doesn't make much sense but is perfect for Long Season), their music feels unafraid, I guess, but not in a braggadocious way, but in a much more internally content way.

    I JUST relistened to this yesterday, so to see this pop up this morning made me happy. Fucking incredible piece of music.
    Still gotta listen to the live album tho

    i`ve literally fell of my chair at the end of live version of long season. it's like from that gravity falls (lol) episode, when characters started to sing together, and it resonated with brains of zombies, so they are just blow up. my brain is literally blown up

    A trio of excellent albums that weren't properly recognised until years after the artist's death, kind of reminds me of Nick Drake...

    I've been meaning to get into this band and the album for ages and put it on my wishlist from my rateyourmusic account. So thank you for that and I'll check it out after this video lol

    As much as I LOVE long season the Live Rendition coupled with the Rest of 12.29.98 is an absolute masterpiece. Glad the late Fishmans are finally getting some love.

    Thanks for introducing me to so much music! Btw i really needed a light sunny album. To much Swans in the last week it is good but it can drain you.
