EAP is not some Saudi prince dropping iPhones like a kid throwing rocks off a bridge, he is dropping phones because he wants to test their durability first hand so consumers have a sense of how strong these devices are. If you believe that he could just give away all of these phones to us instead of "destroying them like a rich maniac," you are mistaken. He makes his money by releasing these videos, and the revenue produced by advertisements allow him to buy more phones to continue these tests to inform us about devices we may purchase ourselves. Grow up kids, this is his job. He's not trying to flaunt his wealth and he's definitely not throwing his money down the toilet. Keep up the great content man!

You can blame the necessity for all the glass on modern smartphones. It's the price we pay for touchscreen interfaces (you need lots of real estate to hold all the touchable areas of the phone). Back when you navigated with just buttons you could afford to have tiny displays that were made of cheaper materials like plastic (because no one cared how smooth the screen felt to glide your thumb across when you weren't actually interacting with the screen).

I am really surprised of how well the iPhone X stood up on those drop test. I was definitely sure that it was going to break at head height considering the weight of the phone. But apple did say that they were putting a much more stronger glass on their iPhones. And the stainless steel border is also helping in that effect. Great video and hope to see you continue these drop test videos on future iPhones.

Glass is glass, and although Apple is claiming this phone to have the strongest glass ever on a smartphone, it will still break if dropped just right, even at a very minimal height.
