- The acres are slowly, but surely, getting eaten. Things go much slower when there’s only one combine in the field. This is the pace I’m most used to.
I had a visitor. Layney Bug Spent the ENTIRE day with me! ❤️

Hi Tracy,
Hearing you mention “feederhouse”, one of those combine exclusive terms, brings to mind the story I promised to tell a few weeks ago.
Long ago, in the dim mists of antiquity (1970)I was in my second year of harvest and working for RJ “Ron” Murphy, out of Kiowa, Kansas and Amorita, Oklahoma.
We had progressed as far as Burlington, Colorado and would eventually make to North of Shelby, Montana.
One morning there out of Burlington it was discovered that some of the bolts holding the feederhouse to the combine had stripped which led to the header and feederhouse nearly falling off the combine, (Massey-Ferguson 510).
We set about the repairs with Ron up under the combine attempting to thread nuts on the new bolts and directing the crew in various parts of the repair process.
He had us set a high lift jack on the sagging end of the header to lift it level and had us chain a grain truck to the end of the header to pull it closer to the combine so the bolts could accept the nuts.
When these things were done he had us jack the header a bit and pull the chain tighter with the truck, we did and he yelled “%*
Oh. My. Goodness!!!! That was quite the story!
The bad thing is you wrote it so well, I could picture it entirely in my head. And I didn’t like the outcome.
An experience…for sure!
Thank you so much for sharing your memories.

You’re most welcome, there is more to the story but probably best not to publish it here! 🤣
She has grown so much since you first introduced her to us. Time flies.
Too fast!!
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking She's beautiful, like her grandma. She has your smile.
Great Video, nothing’s better than having your kids in the combine, must be having your grandkids in the combine lucky you ❤❤
Either! Both are awfully wonderful to get to spend time with in the cab of a combine.
Oh my! How special is that to have that precious little girl with you, Tracey! Grandchildren are definitely God's gift to us for growing older. Cherish the moment! I know you do! You bean harvesters all stay safe out there! We had a lot'a acres burned up, up here ND this past weekend.
Loved having her with me all day. She was such a trooper! And we had a great day together.
Thanks ever so much for several wonderful days of Harvest 2024 in Nebraska!!!!!💝
How absolutely wonderful your granddaughter could spend the day with you in the combine!!!!! Family and harvest just go together, as you well know. Love the parts of the video where she is having her lunch and watching grandmother combine. She will never forget those days with you Tracey 😊. She is so cute; that picture of you and her is a keepsake picture to put up somewhere!!!!!!!!!
The beans you are in look real good; appreciate you showing how the bean pods are doing. Appears the combine is working real good and getting the yield out of the field. Always enjoy Kermit’s narrative’s. He is such a character. Typical older retired Nebraska soul; love them.
Really enjoying the Nebraska scenery and the fields you are working in. Brings back a lot of memories of my harvest days. Just nothing like it for sure 👍!!!!!!! Sincerely appreciate your filming and taking us along on this adventure at harvest time.
I want to share something personal with you. I have watched your video twice thru today. It removes me from the health situations and gives me time in a better place, am sure you understand knowing you. I have my own disability and I have a daughter dealing with cancer. Heard today that some new spots have shown up but she is a strong woman and has a great cancer doctor. You snd your videos give me a secure and supportive time away from those concerns. The time I gave myself to watch your video twice means ever so much to me and a few precious moments in time to just enjoy!!!!!!🙏.
Thanks for listening to me.
I trust Jim is doing ok with his harvest also. Both of you helping two different farmers is a blessing in itself. How wonderful is that; you both are such fantastic people 👍.
Guess I had better start to close this and let you get back to work. It has been a fabulous day with you and your granddaughter and harvest 2024!!!!!!
My blessings to you and Jim always!!!!!!
Take care and be safe!!!!!! Looking forward to the next video!!!!!!!
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
😊👍👋✅🙏💕💕🇺🇸
Of course I don't know you sir, but I will keep you in my prayers as I know what it is like to have a young daughter with serious health issues also.
I’m so sorry to read about your daughter, Steve! The days fly by and before we know it our little kids are adults. And it still hurts our hearts when they’re hurting.
I hope you are well.
Thank you! I’m certain Steve appreciates them!
Really great to watch! Thanks for uploading!
❤️

The little things that makes life so rich!
You’re so right!
Fun to have the granddaughter ride along!

Wow she sure does look a lot like Jim ,, beautiful grandbabies you have Tracy and Jim, God bless from, from Wheatland, Pennsylvania ❤❤
I agree, she does. She looks so much like her mama who also looks like Jim. ❤️
I did enjoy my children but grand kids are some kind of special!!! Love your videos!
That is a fact!! They just love you so much!
Enjoy your videos and especially this 1 seeing your grandchildren
Thank you!! 😊
Great video good to see y'all
❤️
Stink bugs galore here in north central Illinois. Scottie the farm dog loves to spot them for us. Good girl.
They’re so bad this year! And the lady bugs.
Fun watching, never seen soybeans or the harvesting of them. Looks like anything else only hugging the ground.😊
The header is actually right on the ground. The flex of the head follows the contours of the ground.
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking just like cutting dry peas, garbs,or lentils.
So lovely to see you back in your combine and your smiling face and i take it jim is working on the farm he is working for and catch you both in the next video keep safe and well
👍🏻

I love your intro 👍 one of the best out there!
Thanks so much!
Cute granddaughter
I agree! ❤️
Thank you for another awesome video.
Building memories with your granddaughter.
❤️AMER1CA❤️
I love that she rode with me. I remember being in the combine with my grandpa during corn harvest. However, I didn’t have the luxury of a buddy seat. I either stood next to him or crawled on the shelf behind the seat and took a nap. I think I understand now why I have a love for being in the cab of a combine.
Morning.
Good morning!
Are you still in the area ive got 700 acres left and my custom crew has done notning but create a headache for me this year. I may call and look up your website. Im in SE neb
We are no longer in the custom harvesting business. We sold our combine and are now working for local farmers. I may be able to help you locate a crew. Please email me at zcrew82@gmail.com and let me know where you’re located.
Shes a cutie!!!
She sure is! ❤️
I think your tractor has a low right front tire!
Thanks!
How long before Kermits pickup rusts out from under him? Jeeeze!
🤷🏻♀️
Good morning. How many millions of tons have you harvested?
Good morning!!
Millions, for sure.
