I decided to pray in tongues for at least a couple of hours since the beginning of July, and yes time seems to go slow. However I discovered a way that has worked really well for me, I pray whilst doing a task i. e. cooking, watching a Christian teaching, listening to the worship or audio bible. I have managed to pray for hours on end daily, the longest being 8.5 hours a day. I have experienced supernatural peace, the way I can describe is like being in an everything proof huge bubble, total disconnection with everything that can cause anxiety, lack of faith etc. I want this to be my lifestyle and recommend those are hungry for the things of the Spirit to pray whenever you can, when you are driving etc. Your life will never be the same. I also recommend a book 'Prayer Banks' by Ubert Angel. This book on prayer is what motivated me to pray for a considerable time daily, if I want the Supernatural to be natural in my life. Thanks for this great teaching!
You have to remember that the Holy Spirit of God is God. He has been sent to work along-side us & to lead us to all truth. He is not made subject to us. He works through us, in us, and with us to bring forth all that the Father has made available to us, for His glory alone.
He is God but he also often/usually limits himself by waiting to act until a human acts in faith. Too many Christians use God's sovereignty as an excuse to play it safe and never step out in faith. It's a lie from the Enemy that I should wait for God to move me before I'll act in line with God's character.
I don’t know who the speaker is but as one who is a called Prophet myself, I would like to say this is excellent teaching on the subject and so needed in the body of Christ. Refreshing!
As I was seeing the part of practice in here the spirit of the Lord told me this is the exact practice I should do and also recommended fellow to do!!!! Superb teaching

What is a spirit of divination that is spoken about in Acts, that brought her masters much gain. How do you know for certain that you are NOT operating with a counterfeit manifestation of the gifts of The Spirit.
Because in the book of Luke, Jesus told us that if we ask for the Holy Spirit he would not give us a snake. So we know this is coming from him not from the enemy

Last year, i saw moving writings on my bedroom wall and angelic outside my bedroom window. To this day I don't know if i was really seeing this in person or if it was a vision.
Where in the bible do we see anyone practicing to prophecy? Prophecy is a gift given by the Holy Spirit. We prophesy as the Spirit wills (i.e., we say what they Holy Spirit tells us to say, not what we imagine or think on our own.) If you have the gift of prophecy, then when God wants you to prophecy He clearly gives you His message and you hear Him -- and so you repeat what He tells you. If He has not spoken to you, or if you don't have the gift of prophecy, please do NOT speak on His behalf. If you don't have the gift, don't go misrepresenting God and excusing your error by saying you are "practicing" and when wrong saying you got so many right but "missed" something -- that is what has messed up people's lives!! I Cor 14:32 "The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets" does not mean we can prophesy whenever we please in the same way we speak in tongues. This scripture means we have control on when to speak so that if two or more prophets are speaking, they should not interrupt each other and cause confusion. Each can control themselves and wait for the one to be done, and then they take their turn.
How do you reconcile 1 Cor. 14:31 (You may ALL prophesy one by one...) in your evangelical dispensational cessationalist mind? haha If only 1 person "has the gift", then how do you reconcile evangelism, teaching, or praying for the sick? What if you in your words "don't have the gift"? There are 9 gifts; tongues is only one. Someone can have that one, while others have working of miracles, and others have gift of faith.... please understand positive criticism (as the wise do), before you dismiss it with cliches.
As seen in Bible examples, prophetic office is intentional, deliberate, and voluntary. We are not automatons. As we become the personification of Christ, we will look more and more like Him.😎
