That had to be so stressful for them. Such great people helping them out and no one was hurt. It looks beautiful there.😊
Very lucky that no one was on that part of the sand.
I am very impressed! These guys did a great job and I learned a lot!) thx
What? They screwed that RV up big time. LOL
@@ChillWill-q5x I'd think that the weight of that rig coming down on itself when it dropped from the lot to that sand below was more damaging than the recovery.
Thank for the video. I really enjoy staying at Playa Bonita.
Glad you enjoyed it
Glad you enjoyed it
I wonder how much it cost
Taking Ocean front view to a whole new level😂😂😂😂😂😂
For Real. 😂
We can get closer
What is the front of it made from, titanium? It looks undamaged.
Mad respect for those guys that did the recovery. Looks like a bunch of guys that worked for the resort. Here in the states the resort wouldn't want to touch it - a call to a recovery/tow company would have been a must and things would get really expensive. Patching the wall back together is the easy part. Fortunately nobody got hurt.
This is why I don't sit in restaurants that have parking facing the outside walls.
I never really thought like that but that's a good preventive measure.
Front end looks purty gewd after crashing thru a concrete wall. 👍
Acho que a parte que bateu no muro foram os pneus.
"But I was pushing on the brakes as hard as I could... the brake pedals' on the right, correct?"
😂😂
😂👍
People in these environments do come together and help each other out. Been on both sides of that situation myself and helped many people, and received help myself. It's almost like a challenge to succeed.
So true. There were many fellow RVers helping and the Mexican locals were fantastic.
Same here on both sides of a situation and amen.
Mexican Ingenuity got them out of there with hardly a scratch!! And I bet that it didn't cost a bunch of Pesos to do it! In the USA, that RV Driver would be paying in the Thousands!!
Exactly!
Mexi-can
AND ARRESTED FOR BEING LAW ABIDING CITIZENS TOO! 😁😅😂😆🤣
@@alexcornerstone6174😅😅😂😂. I hired them to work on my roof/ bathroom and had no major problem. The thing was, they don't respect time like we do here in the U.S. They show up two hours late for their work, skip a day when they are scheduled to work and knock on the door when they were not on the schedule to work and you're not home. I was being nice and never checked to see if they were here legally, 😅😅😂😂.
LOL, the entire bottom of that RV is trashed now.
Glad the recovery people know what they was doing. Stuff happens when you’re on the road and the RV.
Hope no one got hurt
Parale Parale, ahhhh my Mexican Brothers, hard working people who figure things out and get things done.
That's a fact. My father-in-law employed an entire family from Mexico, on his ranch in WY. [so did his father, and those 2 Mex families were related]. When certain resources were unavailable, they would always come up with something else to make it work, for example: one time, a large steel gate needed new hinges on it, and town was 50 mi away, but the cattle had to be kept inside the fence, so one Mexican gentleman grabbed some sturdy leather and cut it and bolted it to the gate, and to the gate post. He had made leather hinges, which would work, until the new hinges could be bought and installed later that day.
@@MamaKalash Brilliant!
Are they illegal mexicans ?
Sadly, most gringo tourist in big motorhomes are very cheap when it comes to compensating people for helping them out like that. That would’ve taken a big rig tow truck at a cost of minimum $450 to get that towed out. What do they give to the local Mexicans? Probably $20 each or maybefive dollars each and a can of Diet Coke.
Make the most . It seems most of them are getting free trips soon 😢
I've been regretting not getting my water drained from my hot water heater for the winter. That pales in comparison here! Glad this worked out for them!
Looks like Rocky Point Playa Bonita RV park
I do hope they paid the locals very well for helping them. This is not something where you give the person 20 bucks each to help you get your $400,000 motorhome off of the beach.
I’ve met many RV people coming through this area, mostly gringos snowbirds and they may have a huge retirement income and a fancy motorhome but man are they cheap when it comes to paying for services or giving people generous tips, ouch!
By the way, yes, I feel sorry for them. It was a bummer. It happened to them, but people need to take responsibility when they mess up, and clearly someone was not thinking right or something when they crashed through that wall in the first place. I can just imagine it some old guy saying “well I thought it was in reverse so I started to back up and push the accelerator All the way to the floor and what a surprise… It went forward and it crashed down onto the beach!“ As though he sort of blaming it on his RV, not on himself and then we all join in as sympathetic bystanders telling him we’re so sorry and also standing in solidarity with him in some weird way that Weenable him to also blame it on the motorhome when, in fact, it was the operator not the equipment. Comments?
Wow god bless nice job good people
@@johnr5545 what the FCK did God have to do with it other than just letting it happen. Religion is fueling America's mental health crisis! And it's a very outdated way of separating out the idiots 🤔
As a non-Murican, I'm fascinated to hear what you describe them as after they take one step into your country. Although Tronald Dump gives me some clues.
I bet the cups and saucers rattled a bit as the bus flew off the road.
Impossible.
Good comments, if you haven’t seen it yet, there’s two great movies one called RV, and the other called the long, long trailer
Coming in hot 🔥😂
@@HunterMannhow about “Empty Empty Bank Account” 😂
That one kid could have cared less. He wasn’t gonna let that eyesore ruin his day at the beach😂🤣
Awesome community!
Very!
I’m so glad they and their tv are okay. Thank you for such a nice and respectful video!
Thanks for your kind comment!
@ Ha! I just realized my typo! I meant rv! 😂
Awesome to see people helping people.
Finally a comment that isn’t filled with hate and anger, thank you!!
Exackalakalakalakally !!! I've seen more big crybabies whine about ol men in rvzz ,,, you'd think they were a bunch a born scaredy-cats. When people been in an accident ya dont crucify them ,YOU STOP AND HELP THEM IF your able.
I would check very carefully the underbody of this motorhome. It scratched over the damaged wall. Are the brake lines and the whole fuel system without damage?
I hope the get the front end looked at . Specially the steering an other stuff under neath .
Call Matt’s off road recovery
I feel their pain and bless the locals 🎉❤
Taking Beachfront parking to a whole new level! Very, very costly.
"Hey! You can't park there!!"
That's not a mobile home, that's a travel coach, ka-CHING! $$$$$$
Pretty impressive work getting that motorhome off the beach.
That little kid playing in the sand without a care in the world brought back fond childhood memories to me 🤠
i agree, not a care, just in his own little world.
Lol! I was going to say the same thing! All the adults are so mesmerized and have to record it. The kid thinks it's more fun to play in the sand and isn't a big deal. He's the only one who gets it.
Crikey!! Glad no one was hurt!
I wish we were like this in the US, one of my semitrucks when in the ditch in a snowfall in Iowa, couple of trucks offer to help my driver out with some chains. Iowa State Tropers show up, say no, tow truck needs to come. To make history short, ended with two tow trucks, they took truck out in 45 minutes, charge me $9400 dollars and when i complain about price, they said you got one hour, after that towing to yard and price increase in $1200 more. Love the US.
"Wattaya mean I can't park on the beach ?! Hold My Margarita !"
It doesn't even look like it did any damage to the front end
There was a little damage to one of the storage bay doors on the side but the front bumper didn't have a scratch Amazing!
That's more than amazing, since it plowed through concrete blocks 👍
@@RS-gh2mf did it , kind of looks like it was an open section in the wall. Notice no blocks laying around in the sand🤔
The blocks had been moved. The wall was there before they knocked it down.
Rebuilding that wall is going to cost his insurance company a few thousand dollars bucks!
They made it look easy.
This is just a suggestion, but probably a rotator wrecker would’ve been a better deal. They’re expensive, but figuring all the cosmetic work that he’s gotta do on his rig. Look ‘em up on TH-cam here.
I’m sure it was impossible for you to figure out how they would move the motorhome from the beach. Unfortunately, it takes what most people referred to as common sense.
I saw motorhomes driver in sand on the beach all the time. Unless they tore the oil pan off. And arrested for DUI. People driving something big enough to require a CDL/training without needing it.
HAPPY ENDING...!!! MEXICANS AT WORK...!!! WELCOME TO THE BEACH..!!! ENJOY...!!!
I'm surprised the side storage doors weren't ripped off at the top of the hill. Very lucky. Could've been much worse
Do you feel safe being in Mexico and traveling to get to there? Have you been to Baja? I bought a used rig and I’m gonna start traveling next fall.
We’ve been to Puerto Peñasco several times and have never felt unsafe. Maybe we’ve just been lucky. We’ve never driven down Baja any further than Ensenada but there are a lot of TH-camrs that have driven there.
@ thank you for taking the time to reply to my comment that means a lot to me. I’ll subscribe to your channel and thanks for the info.
Getting it out, and getting it out in working order are two separate things.
What didn't get damage on the way thru the wall definitely got more damaged dragging it out.
Surprisingly, the way they built the ramp seemed to minimize damage when they drug it out. I guess they'll find out more after a thorough inspection.
Since you talked with them I missed your explanation of what had happened. What caused this?
We did talk to the couple about how it happened and, looking at a lot of the less than complimentary comments, I should have included an explanation. The spot they were moving into isn't very level so they were trying to pull onto some Anderson leveling wedges. With the gravel surface of the parking spot they had a tough time getting traction, which led to applying more of the throttle. Once they got traction, he tried to let off the gas and apply the brake but a floor mat in the area had slipped and as he tried to apply the brake it made him also continue to hit the gas. Long story short, it was a tragic accident. For us, we never use the Anderson wedges in our motorhome, especially on gravel. Also, it's very easy to have a floor mat or rug slip into the wrong area so I'd be very careful about using mats or rugs in the drivers area.
Probably forgot to use the parking brake some of those larger motorhomes the transmission doesn't have a park position. There was a video not long ago where a large diesel motorhome rolled down a hill in an RV park smashed into some 5th wheels and another parked motorhome. Kind if scary such a heavy vehicle rolling out of control.
Glad they were able to get unstuck without too much damage. Those kind of accidents can happen to anyone.
Oh, you think that’s a bad day? Let me tell you about a real bad day. A bad day is when your motorhome suddenly decides it’s auditioning for “Deadliest Catch” and drifts out to the middle of Lake Mendocino. Picture this: you’re standing at the bottom of the boat ramp, watching your home on wheels gracefully bob in the water like it belongs there. Yeah, that’s a bad day. But hey, don’t sweat it-you’ve got this! Whatever you’re dealing with probably doesn’t involve a soggy sofa and a tow truck bill that doubles as a punchline.
Video evidence please.
🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱
Oh my gosh, that’s utterly stupid, wow where is this? What city or are you in Mexico? I’m curious in America that would cost thousands to get it out so you could save the vehicle.
Looks like rocky point Mexico
Hope you're not on *my* jury. 🙄
How do you drive through abarricade
money does not always bring intelligence 🤭🤔
And sometimes an accident is just that, a fricn accident!! Thanks for the input tho Mr Perfect!!
Having seen so many inept drivers behind the wheels of large motorhomes, it's sad that they don't have to pass commercial driving tests.
Wow. Nice work
Done a lot sand tows the large ones are the hard ones
Got Reverse and Drive mixed up 🤔😩 Expensive OohBoo😮
I live where people bring a motor home with toy trailer and boat behind. It's entertaining !
HAHAHA must be from Arizona just couldn't wait for ocean front property
He probably paid a lot of money for that premium site with the water front view too. 😂😂
This has the look of pressing the wrong pedal and freezing up. A real danger with older drivers and a warning sign that its time to stop driving. This time they were lucky, there wasn't a family having a pic-nic on the at part of the beach, it wont' always be like that, next time could be a cafe or nursery.
EXACTLY ........ Like comatose !!! Scary at heck for others around old incompetent drivers
Well that's them told, eh. Nice how you just make your mind up what happened and judge accordingly without having any knowledge whatsoever. Hope you're not on *my* jury. 🙄
Brave to travel in an RV to Mexico. No way I'd do that. You are broadcasting rich American to the bad guys.
Tell that to the hundreds of thousands of people who go to Mexico every single year in their RVs, that was not a very smart comment. In fact it shows how uneducated you are about that world.
At Pismo Beach when we camped on the sand, we would shovel out in front of the tires, hook up a Jeep to a tow strap, and drive down to the hard sand just above the water line. We then unhooked the Jeep and drove to an access ramp.
I'm impressed they got it out without a tow truck.
Just because you can afford it doesn't mean you should buy it!
ok judgy.
@troo_story No judgement. Simply an opinion based on 20 years of experience and observation as a full-time RVer.
should rename the mobile home Costalotta. excellent recovery though may I add.
Oh wow! That’s wild
I'm always amazed when I see really very old people in the US driving 25 ton + A classes and busses with little or no training !! God knows what the attrition rate is over there but i bet its sky high as far as accidents go ? in Europe you're relegated to 3.5 ton max over 70 years old unless you take an HGV test and pass a very thorough medical . sensible !!
Honey I want a closer view of the water.
love to see the bill for this rescue
I’ve been Rv ing for over 50 years, right now w a 40 quad slide toy hauler, I’ve seen the gambit of idiots who have no business behind the wheel of an Rv or motor home, nuff said other than you can’t fix stupid! Make it mandatory to get a CDL for motorhome drivers, 90% will fail the test! Lol
After my dad died I had to sell his RV and take it 30 miles away on the freeway. I used to race dune buggies as a teen and I had a dirt bike. That RV trip taught me that a CDL should be mandatory for the safety of drivers. OF, course the RV industry won't like you or I.
Not sure about that RV but I do know the diesel class A's transmission doesn't have a park position. People who drive cars are not use to using a parking break although I always drove manual transmission cars use the parking brake all the time. Most drive automatic cars they just put it in park. This isn't the first time I have seen a video of a large diesel motorhome rolling down a hill there was a video not long ago someone's rolled down a hill in an RV park smashed into a 5th wheel.
Please search movie; IDIOCRACY...from 2007...it will open your eyes ...more idiots in near future,
Will that change drivers' lazy habit of never setting the hand brake in their personal vehicles?
No way.
I bet less than 50% of drivers of automatic transmission cars set the hand brake.
That bad habit simply carries over to when they get behind the wheel of the RV.
No real surprise.
@@Mike-01234This Type of Class A is built on a Ford E-53 Motor home chassis with a 350 Horse power GAS Engine.
Did they say how that happened? Human error, mechanical failure, sabotage? Every news story should cover: Who, what, when, where, why.
My friends were there….apparently it might have been too many margaritas
Not news, entertainment.
@ WRONG! You find a tragic accident “Entertaining”?
@@catlady8324 Not a news channel, an entertainment channel. My cat agrees.
Would have been nice to know.
Good people, excellent team work. If north of the border, spectators and victims would have gathered.
‘For our next trick’.
in the US a gigantic tow truck boom would lift the rear while dragging and it would cost thousands of dollars.
Yes awesome! That people help out, but what a bunch of idiots going down there in the first place.
Good for you for not criticizing their misfortune. Those that call them stupid, don’t realize if making a mistake like that is what stupid is, then all the mistakes those critics have made in their lives shows they are also stupid.
Thanks for the comment and I totally agree with you. We all make mistakes. It’s part of the human experience and the only people that don’t make those mistakes are the ones sitting home on the couch.
They owe that group a thousand dollars easily. Not a case of Pacifico.
With all the commotion going on I think I would have found a way to cut my brake lines so that I would have an excuse as to why I drove my RV through a effing retaining wall onto the beach!
Where did this happen?
Puerto Penasco, Sonora, Mexico
How is it that the entire front of the RV not have a single scratch on it? I looked literally with a magnifying glass. They say it slammed through the wall?
Audi 5000?
Well thank God nobody was sunbathing on the beach right there. Or children building sandcastles.
Darling, where did you put the bottle of Don Julio ?
Old fashioned shovel and planks to reduce the rolling resistance plus the hydraulic power of a back hoe ram did the job just fine.
underneath has to be crushed it high centered...
Is that even running? I don't think so.
They should definitely go through all of their gas, electrical, and plumbing connections after that drama. Tanks etc..
This in rocky point ? Beach looks familiar
Yes
How do you not explain how this happened?
